Chapter 173 - Chapter 172: The Elementary School Shinigami is Everywhere

In the blink of an eye, it was Saturday, August 10th.

Early in the morning, Fujino drove Ai Haibara and Miyano Akemi towards Izu.

Izu wasn't too far from Tokyo. Before noon, the group arrived at the grand hotel listed on the vouchers.

Hotel parking lot.

"Is this the Queen Hotel?"

Miyano Akemi, wearing blue jeans and a white T-shirt, looked at the building before her, remarking, "The environment is really nice, and the air is so fresh."

"Izu Queen Hotel. I looked it up. It seems staying here for one day costs nearly ten thousand yen per person."

Ai Haibara, dressed in a light blue T-shirt and white shorts, stood nearby, casually mentioning.

Fujino, unusually, also wore casual clothes: black pants and the same white T-shirt as Miyano Akemi.

He lifted a travel bag from the trunk, chuckling lightly. "Thanks to Akemi-nee, we're saving quite a bit of money on this vacation."

"Hehe, it's nothing."

Miyano Akemi smiled, walked over, and took two bags from Fujino's hands. "Fujino-kun, you work so hard usually. Take this rare holiday to rest properly."

Ai Haibara also cast a look of agreement.

"Alright..."

Fujino didn't argue further, handing the luggage over to Miyano Akemi.

Afterward, the group entered the hotel.

"As expected of the famous Queen Hotel, it really is luxurious!"

Just as they entered the hotel, Fujino heard a familiar voice.

Looking up, he saw a man in the distance wearing a pink T-shirt suit jacket, blue shorts, and showing off hairy legs.

Mouri Kogoro!

"Since Mouri-san is also here..."

Fujino scanned the surroundings.

As expected, he saw two more familiar figures.

Ran, wearing an orange casual dress, looking around, and Conan, hands behind his head, wearing red shorts and a green shirt.

"Well damn... How can I run into these three even on vacation?"

Fujino sighed softly. "Hope no murder cases happen today..."

In the distance, Ran, who was looking around, also spotted Fujino and fixed her gaze.

Conan, noticing this, followed Ran's gaze.

He immediately saw the familiar figure...

It was Fujino!

Recalling Ran's strange behavior over the past few days, and her meaningful words about meeting a friend, Conan suddenly felt his scalp tingle.

Damn it!

Could the person Ran came here to secretly meet be that guy Fujino?!

Forcing back the illusion of a green glow emanating from the top of his head, Conan put on a smile more painful than death itself, trotted over, and greeted Fujino:

"Fujino-niichan!"

"Why are you here too, kid?"

Fujino walked over, bent down slightly, and looked at Conan's face speechlessly.

How could he run into this kid everywhere?

The elementary school shinigami truly was omnipresent.

"Fujino-senpai!"

Ran walked over from the side, greeting Fujino, looking somewhat surprised.

"Senpai, are you here on vacation too?"

"Yeah."

Fujino slowly stood up, looking at Ran. "Is your family here on vacation too?"

Nearby, Conan frowned upon hearing this.

Judging by their surprised reactions, it seemed he had misunderstood Fujino again...

But if the person Ran arranged to meet wasn't Fujino, who could it be?

Conan fell into deep thought, unable to figure it out no matter how hard he tried.

After exchanging pleasantries, the two groups went to the front desk to check in.

"A total of two rooms, correct?"

The receptionist took out two silver key cards, asking Ran.

"Correct."

Ran took the key cards, put them away, adopting a slightly mischievous little-girl look, as if plotting something.

"What's the big deal?"

Mouri-san, nearby, grumbled dissatisfiedly. "Wouldn't it be more suitable for us to get one room with three beds?"

"If we did that, it would interfere later..."

Saying this, Ran suddenly remembered something and quickly corrected herself, "Nothing, I was just talking to myself. Let's quickly change into swimsuits and go to the beach!"

She then headed towards the room indicated on the key card.

Fujino glanced at the departing Mouri family, walked slowly to the front desk, took out the resort vouchers Miyano Akemi had won, and handed them to the receptionist. "These are our vouchers. They should be usable, right?"

"Vouchers?"

The receptionist took the vouchers and examined them.

Immediately, he bent down and started rummaging through something under the counter.

After a short while, he found several gold cards, took out three, stood up, put on a professional smile, and handed them to Fujino.

"These are the key cards for your party."

"Gold cards?"

Fujino looked at the key cards, somewhat puzzled. He remembered Ran received silver cards just now.

"Correct."

The receptionist smiled and nodded. "Your vouchers are VIP vouchers. Your rooms are the suites on the top floor... If you need anything, please call the front desk. We at the Queen Hotel will serve our VIP guests wholeheartedly."

Inside the suite on the top floor of the Izu Queen Hotel.

Fujino pushed open the door, surveying the luxurious and spacious suite, which even had a large TV mounted on the wall, and couldn't help but remark, "As expected of a deluxe suite."

The price for a standard suite was about ten thousand yen per day.

He had inquired about the price of a deluxe suite; it was about fifty thousand yen per day.

Three days and two nights would cost roughly 150,000 yen per person.

For three people, that's 450,000 yen.

This time, they really hit the jackpot.

But speaking of which, Miyano Akemi's luck was truly amazing; winning three first-prize VIP vouchers from a random lucky draw.

It seemed Ai Haibara wasn't bad either; he remembered she seemed to have drawn a black lolita dress.

"Someday, I definitely need to see Ai-chan's black lolita dress, see if it's really as cute as Miyano Akemi said."

Putting his thoughts aside, Fujino walked slowly to the large bed in the suite.

He casually placed the travel bag on the bed and unzipped it.

Inside were some personal belongings, and besides those, the Okamoto 0.01 (bokken).

Fujino closed the curtains, took off his clothes, and pulled out a pair of large black shorts from the bag.

They were beach shorts.

"My muscles are really exaggerated..."

After changing into the beach shorts, Fujino went to the full-length mirror nearby.

His reflection looked dashing, his exposed skin rippling with muscles.

Thanks to the system's enhancements, the muscles on his body had now adapted to his current strength.

The rich lead the poor; with strength comes physical transformation.

Unconsciously, he had also become a muscular tough guy.

Without hindering mobility, the muscles weren't overly exaggerated, but exceptionally firm.

The firm muscles, contrasted against his fair skin, were well-defined. Anyone seeing his physique would exclaim: Damn, what a hunk.

"Better not be too flashy."

Fujino rummaged through his bag, found a shirt, draped it over his shoulders, opened the door, and walked out of the room.
