And Elliot… Elliot dared to smile back. I dropped my fork. Across the table, Soren didn't even blink. He seemed to be satisfied of what he was seeing at this moment.
"It begins."He said.
Lucien let out a long sigh and took a big swig from his water like it was whiskey. He also seemed to like the current situation to my misery.
"We knew this day would come."He said.
Damien was already scribbling in a notebook titled 'Operation Emergency Wedding Delay Tactics'.
Adrian, the only one pretending to be sane, muttered something.
"They're kids, not hostiles."Adrian said.
I leaned across the table and started into his eyes.
"You didn't see the way he looked at her, Adrian. He gave her THE nod"I said.
