Leonhardt drove into an incomplete building within a quiet estate, the car rumbling to a halt on uneven ground. Kaelith stepped out quickly, glancing around with wary eyes. He scratched his head as the heat pressed down on him, making sweat bead along his temples until he cursed under his breath. Turning back toward Leonhardt—who was just switching off the engine—Kaelith forced a crooked smile and said, "Well, if I didn't know you, I'd have thought you brought me here to harm me."
"Ah…" Leonhardt let out a low sound at Kaelith's joke as he walked over to him. Standing before him, their height difference became obvious—Kaelith's head barely reached beneath Leonhardt's chin.
