Chapter 464 - Chapter 466-470

Chapter 466: The True Tang Sect, Part 2

Standing nearby, Er Ming kept silent but flinched slightly when he heard Tang Wulin address Tang San that way. Still, there was nothing he could say; this was Tang San's doing, the price of sealing away Wulin's memories. Not his fault.

Tang Ya, however, paid no mind to Er Ming's reaction, only growing more tense and irritated. "Everyone knows that so what are you really trying to say?" she demanded.

Tang Wulin, who was usually so good natured, felt a flicker of hurt at her tone. But recalling the weighty mission he'd been given, he forced himself to continue, now with a steely resolve in his eyes.

"Miss Tang Ya, you know that Tang San, our great ancestor, became a god rather than dying, and as a god, he lives eternally," he said, his tone stiffening.

Tang Ya's expression darkened further at his formal address, but his words left her frozen in place.

"What... do you mean?" she whispered, her voice trembling.

Though Tang Wulin felt uneasy, he had already come this far, and there was no turning back now.

"The Ancestor Tang San has issued a divine decree for the HaoTian Sect," he declared.

All color drained from Tang Ya's face. She looked as though she might collapse, her skin as pale as paper.

"What... is it?"

A faint glow appeared on Tang Wulin's forehead, where the outline of a trident symbol began to shine.

"By the decree of the Ancestor Tang San, Tang Ya is deemed unworthy of the Tang Sect master's position. The Tang Sect shall henceforth be passed to the Son of the Sea God, Tang Wulin, who will restore the Tang Sect's glory and uphold the might of our divine legacy."

Tang Ya stood there, staring in shock at the trident that gleamed on Tang Wulin's forehead a mark of the Sea God's authority. For a long moment, she was silent, lost in thought.

Watching her broken expression, Bei Bei's heart ached, and he finally gathered the courage to step closer, gently placing his hand on her shoulder.

"Tang Ya, please... give the Tang Sect's token of authority to Wulin. I heard this decree from my grandfather myself. It's real," he said softly. "And besides, with Wulin as the new sect master, you won't have to carry this burden on your own anymore..."

Bei Bei's voice trailed off as he tried to offer comfort. But the shock of his words seemed to bring Tang Ya back to herself, and she shrugged off his hand, glaring at him and the others with an expression of iron resolve.

"No!"

She clenched her fists and continued, "The Tang Sect has been in my family for generations! Even if Tang San is the revered ancestor, he has no right to take from me the legacy my family has upheld for centuries!"

Though Er Ming had taken on human form, his true nature as a powerful beast was evident, especially now as his patience wore thin. Faced with her refusal, he instinctively projected an intimidating aura, the pressure of his Titled Douluo level soul power filling the room.

Years ago, Tang San at level 30 had been able to withstand the pressure of a Soul Elder. But now Tang Ya was confronting the full weight of a Titled Douluo's power. Fortunately for her, Er Ming was holding back somewhat for Tang Wulin's sake; otherwise, she would've been in serious danger.

Disturbed by the tension, Tang Wulin quickly intervened to stop Er Ming from escalating further. He rushed to Tang Ya's side, gently supporting her.

"Are you okay, Miss Tang Ya?" he asked, his voice filled with concern.

Yet Tang Ya was now filled with an icy resolve, the bitter edge of betrayal sharpening her gaze. She forcefully pulled her arm away from him, refusing any comfort.

As she looked at Bei Bei, the warmth of love and trust that had once filled her heart was now replaced with bitterness and distance. She could no longer ignore the truth.

In the depths of her heart, Tang Ya finally understood two painful realities.

First, that Bei Bei had betrayed her. And second, that her ancestor Tang San, too, had turned his back on her.

Tang Ya had always known about Bei Bei's ties to Shrek Academy. From the time they met to their eventual love, she had accepted that his background would make it difficult for him to help her seek revenge against the Ironblood Sect. After all, Tang Sect's downfall had been part of a larger struggle among sects, and Shrek Academy was supposed to be a neutral institution, uninvolved in sect conflicts. But if Shrek was so "neutral," then why interfere now? Was it simply because she was easier to push around? Such hypocrisy!

Tang Ya's gaze towards Bei Bei grew colder, her eyes hardened with disdain.

And as for Tang San's so called divine decree... if the revered ancestor was still alive, then why had he allowed the Tang Sect to fall? Why hadn't he acted as their lands, their reputation, and even her parents were taken from them? In the end, she was left alone, fighting to preserve their heritage against impossible odds.

For all their lofty ideals, the Tang Sect was destroyed not by some powerful enemy, but by a mere third rate sect without even a Soul Saint to its name. What a mockery!

As these questions tore through her, Tang Ya's anger gradually gave way to resignation. Everyone had betrayed her but what could she do about it? She had long known that weakness was the greatest sin of all.

Elsewhere, Ye Wen paused in his stroll, a faint smile crossing his face.

"That's a surprisingly pure force of darkness... though it's still too faint to be truly interesting," he mused.

As the base of Shrek Academy, Shrek City had long been a place where evil soul masters rarely dared to tread for fear of being hunted down. But Ye Wen's interest was piqued.

"Seems like things are about to get interesting," he murmured.

Meanwhile, back in the courtyard, Tang Wulin and Bei Bei tried to reason with Tang Ya, not wanting things to end on such hostile terms. But Tang Ya took a step back, her once bright eyes now dark and lifeless as she looked at the two men who had shattered her trust.

Tang Ya had always been somewhat naïve in love. But when someone like her, a true romantic, is wounded deeply enough, that love can transform into absolute clarity. In that moment, she finally saw things as they were.

Tang Ya understood that she would never keep her title as Tang Sect master; it was just a matter of time before she was forced to hand over the token of authority. Standing against a Titled Douluo would only bring unnecessary suffering.

Yet, she clung to a last sliver of hope. "Wulin, can't we restore the Tang Sect together?" she asked. "Why do you have to take the master's position from me? I'll follow your lead just don't take away my title. Please?"

In truth, Tang Wulin had no interest in the position, but the divine decree left him no choice. Her plea only deepened his sorrow.

Seeing his hesitation, Er Ming interjected coldly, "No, that won't do. The divine decree itself was issued because your bloodline is too weak to carry the Tang Sect's honor. Look at Wulin here he's a rare, innate full soul power soul master with twin martial souls. Even though they're not the ideal Blue Silver Grass and Hao Tian Hammer, he's more than capable of restoring the Tang Sect's reputation. So stop dragging this out hand over the token now!"

Er Ming's patience had run out. Cracking his knuckles menacingly, he stared at Tang Ya, his expression filled with deadly intent.

Chapter 467: The True Tang Sect, Part 3

Tang Ya's face was pale, and her heart felt as heavy as a stone.

Though Tang Wulin may have been granted divine authority as the Son of the Sea God, she knew full well that the final decision was ultimately in the hands of this mysterious Titled Douluo who stood with him.

"Fine." Tang Ya's voice was heavy as she agreed, pulling out an ancient token engraved with the word "Tang" from her soul guide and tossing it to Tang Wulin.

"The Tang Sect has nothing left. Even this small courtyard, I had to work to rent it myself. Now, please leave," she said bitterly.

Seeing Tang Ya finally concede without further resistance, Er Ming nodded in satisfaction. As for the courtyard itself? He couldn't care less. With the combined support of the HaoTian Sect and Shrek Academy, this meager dwelling was meaningless to him. Under Tang Wulin's leadership, the Tang Sect would soon rise again, and at breakneck speed.

Tang Wulin opened his mouth, wanting to say something to Tang Ya. But before he could speak, Er Ming firmly tugged him away.

As for the so called "Tang Sect skills" that Tang Ya had studied?

In truth, no secret is impervious to exposure. Over the centuries, the techniques of the Tang Sect had been spread throughout the sects of the Douluo Continent like a sieve. This widespread diffusion was one reason for the recent surge in Titled Douluo numbers; with the fall of the Spirit Hall, many sects had studied and assimilated Tang Sect techniques into their own practices.

Tang San had foreseen this issue, smugly concluding that these lesser disciples were never worthy of his true legacy.

Bei Bei watched Tang Ya's shattered expression, feeling an unbearable ache in his heart. He wanted to comfort her, but she slapped his hand away, leaving his palm red and stinging.

"Get out." Her voice was cold and unyielding.

Though Bei Bei often seemed indecisive and passive, his love for Tang Ya was deep and true. Her rejection tore at him.

"Xiao Ya..." he began, wanting to explain that it had been his grandfather's decision, one he was powerless to change. But Tang Ya's expression was filled with disgust, her glare piercing and scornful.

He had once been her closest confidant, and she had shared everything with him, knowing he understood her hopes, her mission, and the burdens she carried. Now she understood something devastating: her dreams, her hopes for Tang Sect's future, meant nothing to him. His loyalties lay elsewhere.

With her last shred of patience gone, Tang Ya's eyes filled with rage, her voice rising in a scream.

"Get out! We're done! I'm breaking up with you now! Leave, and don't let me ever see you again!"

In her fury, Tang Ya summoned her soul rings, intent on using force to drive him away. Alarmed by her fury, Bei Bei backed off, fearing for her well being. He knew that Shrek City forbade fighting outside official arenas, and Tang Ya had already been through so much. The last thing he wanted was for her to be hurt any further.

"Please, Xiao Ya, calm down," he pleaded. "I'm going. I'll leave I just don't want you to get into trouble."

Reluctantly, Bei Bei retreated, stepping outside the courtyard gates. Pausing just outside, he peered back, offering a hopeful, sorrowful smile.

"Please, Xiao Ya... I know this is painful, but I'll find a way to make it right for you. I promise."

He had barely finished when Tang Ya hurled a chair, smashing it against the door. Defeated, Bei Bei sighed and finally left.

With everyone gone, Tang Ya felt an empty hollowness settle over her. Just this morning, she had been focused on the diligent work of training and preparing for the day she could finally avenge her family's legacy. But in the blink of an eye, it was all ripped away from her.

"Father... Mother..." She choked, the names of her lost family spilling from her lips as hot tears streamed down her face.

She couldn't stop crying. The weight of everything she had lost crushed her as though a landslide had buried her alive. Digging her nails into the damp soil, she held tight, clawing at the earth until her hands were bloody.

As Tang Ya cried, the blue of her hair began to deepen, becoming an ominous shade of midnight blue. She was lost in a trance, feeling as though a hidden door within her soul had been forced open, flooding her with a powerful, dark clarity.

She didn't know how long she stayed like that, lost in the grip of despair. By the time she regained her senses, night had fallen.

"Evening already..." she murmured blankly, staring at the darkening sky.

Just then, she heard the soft sound of footsteps approaching. Although she was exhausted, Tang Ya tensed, summoning her soul power as she prepared for trouble. This was her private sanctuary, and anyone approaching this place so quietly had to be up to no good.

However, when she saw who it was, her tension drained away, and her soul rings faded.

"Ye Wen?" she asked, shocked. "W what brings you here?"

At first, she had feared an intruder, someone planning to attack her. But Ye Wen was no petty thief. He was a Titled Douluo; he could take whatever he wanted without sneaking around.

Ye Wen didn't respond immediately. He simply observed her, noting the striking change in her aura. Although she looked disheveled, there was something strangely mesmerizing about her now a subtle, alluring intensity and he could feel faint traces of darkness lingering around her.

His lips curved into a slight smile. "I'd like to speak with you. Do you mind?"

Ye Wen's charm, combined with his confident smile, made Tang Ya's heart race. Feeling flustered, she glanced away, her eyes darting nervously around the room.

"Yes, of course..."

The two soon settled inside her small home. Ye Wen hadn't bothered to examine the interior until now, but it struck him as sparse, even shabby. The room was little more than an earthen hut, bare of any decor.

In the corner, he noticed her workbench, cluttered with materials. It was clear where all her money had gone; she had poured everything into her training, sacrificing all comfort for the sake of her goal.

Noticing her fidgeting, Ye Wen gave a light wave of his hand. "Don't worry about entertaining me; I'm just here to talk."

Tang Ya stilled, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment. She had wanted to be a gracious host, but her resources were meager. Although she had been raised with certain manners, she was now little more than the destitute remnant of a once great family.

Awkwardly, she stood across from Ye Wen, unsure of what to do. It was as if she had become a guest in her own home.

"Please, Ye Wen, what is it you'd like to discuss?" she asked, her voice hesitant.

Ye Wen didn't mince words. "I saw what happened earlier. What are your plans for the future?"

Tang Ya's face went pale. It was like he was reopening a fresh wound, forcing her to relive the recent humiliation.

Chapter 468: The True Tang Sect, Part 4

At the end of the day, Tang Ya was still just a young girl. The overwhelming emotions left her speechless, caught in a storm of confusion and despair. Ye Wen, however, was in no hurry, patiently waiting for her to regain her composure.

After a while, she looked up at him, still seated before her with that warm, understanding smile. Though his gaze was gentle and reassuring, Tang Ya's eyes could not hide the sorrow weighing on her.

Tang Ya knew Ye Wen was trying to help, and at this moment, she desperately needed some sort of support. Finally, in a small voice, she whispered, "I... I don't know."

Ye Wen observed her carefully, sensing that the time was right to reveal his purpose.

"Then, Tang Ya, would you be willing to become my disciple?" Ye Wen asked simply.

Tang Ya's eyes widened in disbelief, wondering if she had misheard. She stared at him, searching his face for some indication that this was a mistake or a joke.

But as she focused, she realized he was entirely serious, and her expression turned from shock to pure astonishment.

"W w what did you say!?" she stammered, her voice thick with disbelief.

Ye Wen, still as calm as ever, nodded, confirming her shock. "There's no need to doubt me, Tang Ya. I want you to be my disciple."

The news was so incredible that Tang Ya felt as if she might leap with excitement. But she quickly forced herself to hold back, her mind racing with doubt. She barely managed to form the words.

"But why? My talent... it's terrible," she admitted, her voice breaking. "Everyone knows it."

Ye Wen had anticipated her excitement, but not to this degree. Seeing that she was on the verge of an emotional outburst, he gently used his soul power to calm her down. After a moment, Tang Ya steadied herself, her heart quieting as she brought her thoughts under control.

When she finally composed herself, a shadow of caution had crept into her gaze. Her heart had changed, darkened. Tang Ya wasn't the naive, love struck girl she once was.

She couldn't help but ask herself why a Titled Douluo of Ye Wen's stature would suddenly want her as a disciple. Her expression hardened, and she looked up, her voice tinged with suspicion. "Master Ye, I'm well aware that my abilities aren't worthy of your attention. And you saw what happened just now I couldn't even protect my position as head of the Tang Sect."

As she spoke, a bitter smile flickered across her face, but she continued, her voice steadying. "So, would you mind telling me why you'd choose me as your disciple? I really don't see what I could possibly offer you."

Ye Wen's approving gaze met hers. Her response was raw, unguarded, and completely honest. This was no longer the innocent Tang Ya of old.

However, Ye Wen wasn't ready to share his ultimate purpose just yet; he had no intention of explaining his ambitions for reshaping the balance of power in the Douluo Continent. After all, Tang Ya hadn't yet fully integrated into his circle.

Still, she possessed a unique quality that had captured his attention.

Before her martial soul mutation, Tang Ya had been viewed as a weak talent, but now, with her transformation into Dark Blue Silver Grass, her potential was undeniable among the top ten on the entire continent. Without this mutation, she would never have become one of the two Saintesses of the Holy Spirit Cult.

Ye Wen held back the full truth but leaned forward, seeing her resolve.

"If you wish for revenge, then accept me as your master," he said calmly.

It was a simple sentence, but it struck directly at Tang Ya's heart.

The honor of the Tang Sect had been lost, her lover had betrayed her, and her only remaining purpose was to avenge her family's legacy. Revenge was now the only fire keeping her alive.

Tang Ya's gaze locked onto Ye Wen's, filled with equal parts hope and disbelief.

Once, the Tang Sect had flourished. But after the discovery and proliferation of soul devices, the Tang Sect had suffered, plummeting to near insignificance. In her father's generation, the sect had shrunk to the point where few even knew it still existed. They were now seen as little more than a memory.

People had long moved on.

But Tang Ya hadn't. She remembered each bitter detail of her family's fall and was now filled with both hope and doubt, unsure why this renowned master would take interest in her.

Noting her uncertainty, Ye Wen smirked lightly, resting his chin on one hand. "Curious why I would offer you revenge as a condition of apprenticeship?"

Tang Ya nodded slowly. She had once sought help from Shrek Academy for her family's vengeance, only to be met with polite refusal. Even Bei Bei had not supported her.

The reason, as they had explained, was Shrek's "neutrality" a hollow pretext that had crushed her spirits.

Ye Wen's explanation, however, was succinct and unyielding. "It's a minor sect with no Title Douluo. That's all there is to it," he replied plainly.

This simple, yet powerful statement made her face flush. But then, a fresh wave of sadness overtook her. The Tang Sect's downfall had indeed been at the hands of a minor sect one even Ye Wen considered worthless.

Tang Ya's emotions oscillated between embarrassment and sorrow, her expressions shifting so rapidly that Ye Wen found himself musing that, in another world, she might have been a talented actress.

"So, what will it be, Tang Ya?" he asked. "Will you become my disciple? Or will you rely on your limited abilities to seek vengeance on your own?"

His words were blunt, but they forced her to confront her grim reality.

This time, her expression didn't shift. Instead, a deep calm settled over her.

She sank to her knees.

With three ceremonial bows, she addressed him formally, her voice steady and clear.

"Disciple Tang Ya greets her Master."

Ye Wen smiled warmly, pleased with her determination, and helped her to her feet.

No sooner had she risen than Tang Ya's thoughts returned to her sole objective.

"Master, when can we begin? When do we take revenge?" Her tone was fervent; it was clear she had been waiting years for this moment.

Ye Wen chuckled softly, admiring her enthusiasm. "I could help you gain vengeance now," he said, "but if I did, you'd miss the chance to do it yourself. Wouldn't you rather build the power to make them pay on your terms?"

Tang Ya's face brightened, a fierce resolve shining in her eyes. "You're right, Master. I want to face them myself, to be the one who makes them suffer!"

In her mind, she began to understand Ye Wen's intentions.

Her enmity meant little to him, and she had no resources to draw him in. Her best guess was that he was helping her purely for his own amusement.

If it meant she could finally take her revenge, she would gladly be his pawn, his plaything.

But within days, she would learn that her assumptions were deeply mistaken.

Chapter 469: The True Tang Sect, Part 5

Although the departure of the five young women sparked some surprise among the Shrek faculty and students after all, each of them had made a name for themselves at Shrek the academy's strict dropout policy soon silenced the idle gossip. In the entire city, the only ones who truly missed the five were those whose hearts remained bound to them.

Along their journey, Ye Wen took his time. He wasn't in a hurry; instead, he led the young women on a path that allowed them, at this purest stage in their lives, to witness firsthand the suffering and darkness embedded in the fabric of the Douluo Continent.

Tang Ya, who had already suffered a difficult life, found her own sense of grievance gradually dissolving as she witnessed the misery of countless impoverished families.

"People on the Douluo Continent are dying of hunger…" she murmured to herself, trailing behind with a complicated look in her eyes.

But soon, Tang Ya's attention was drawn back to Ye Wen, the other four girls, and Electrolux. Ye Wen, beaming with a smile, looked like a cheerful father leading a group of children on an outing.

The pure happiness on display struck a chord in Tang Ya's heart, reminding her of her own parents. "If my mom and dad were still here, maybe I'd be smiling just like that…"

Before long, the group came to a halt by a small stream. They were still human and couldn't survive without food, unlike Ye Wen's divine form, which could sustain itself effortlessly. It was time to call on Chef Huo!

Though all five girls possessed some culinary skills, Huo Yu'er had undoubtedly perfected hers to the highest degree. With swift, practiced movements, she began preparing fish, filling the air with the mouthwatering aroma of roasted trout. Ye Wen didn't intervene; he simply watched with a fond smile.

Huo Yu'er's position as the Continent's fated child wasn't without reason. Her natural talent aside, she possessed a character that outshone most. To her, Ye Wen wasn't just a teacher but also a father figure, so she was the first to offer him a freshly prepared fish.

"Master, try this! The fish from this river is so delicious when roasted!" she said, her face glowing with pride.

Ye Wen, not feeling a hint of guilt about letting the girls work, accepted it with a chuckle. Then, he looked over at Tang Ya, who seemed lost in thought, and called out.

"What are you waiting for? Come and join us!"

Tang Ya, who had been lingering in the memories of her past sorrows, snapped back to the present. However, her once vibrant demeanor had darkened, and a hint of sadness lingered around her.

The group enjoyed their meal, laughing and chatting, but Ye Wen noticed that Xiao Xiao kept glancing at him. He smiled, recognizing that the young girl couldn't keep secrets for long. Indeed, when she noticed his amused expression, Xiao Xiao blushed but couldn't resist asking her question, her tone almost like a child's plea.

"Master… When can my mom and dad come back?"

Tang Ya, who had been eating quietly, froze.

She knew that Dark Soul Masters had a dark reputation in these times. Having spent years around Bei Bei, she knew more about their ways than most Soul Masters. The possibility that her master could be one of those who deceived others with fake promises of resurrection crossed her mind, and a cold sweat broke out on her forehead.

"Could he be… could Master be one of those Dark Soul Masters who manipulates and enslaves others with promises of resurrection?"

It was only then that Ye Wen remembered that Tang Ya had yet to learn of his divine identity. Judging by the way she paled, it was clear she feared the worst. He couldn't help but laugh at the misunderstanding. Raising his hand, he summoned two faint, ethereal lights, hovering in his palm.

Upon closer inspection, it became apparent that these lights weren't just glowing orbs. Fragile and scattered, they seemed on the verge of vanishing. Xiao Xiao's eyes welled with tears; even though the souls weren't fully manifested in human form like Huo Yu'er's mother, she felt a familiar pull in her soul, confirming that these were her parents.

As if on instinct, Xiao Xiao moved forward, her hands reaching out to touch the two souls. But Ye Wen quickly withdrew his hand and used his left arm to gently block her path.

"Take it easy, Xiao Xiao. Your parents' souls were damaged during the last war. I spent quite a lot of effort piecing them back together, but the restoration is ongoing. You mustn't interfere."

Realizing her mistake, Xiao Xiao stepped back, bowing repeatedly in apology.

Although soul restoration wasn't Ye Wen's area of expertise, with Electrolux's guidance, he had made significant progress. And given that divine power was essentially a universal energy source in this world, mending damaged souls was entirely within his grasp.

After returning Xiao Xiao's parents' souls to safekeeping, Ye Wen turned to Tang Ya, who had been silent, her face pale.

Though Tang Ya's spirit had darkened, the innate goodness within her prevented her from sinking into the kind of reckless, murderous behavior she displayed in the original story. Ye Wen couldn't help but reflect on the curious fact that, in this "continent of lovers," even a fully "blackened" Tang Ya had managed to find redemption. It was as though the suffering of commoners and other Soul Masters didn't matter as much…

This selective perspective had always been a hallmark of Shrek's "morality." The institution's double standards had long been clear and particularly evident among those from the Yu Xiaogang bloodline.

"What's the matter, Tang Ya?" Ye Wen asked, laughing softly. "Could it be that you think I'm a Dark Soul Master?"

She struggled to maintain her composure, her food suddenly tasting like ash. Her mind raced: What should I do? My master might be a Dark Soul Master. I need help… urgently!

It was then that the other girls noticed Tang Ya's reaction and realized she had no idea of their master's true nature. Remembering that she'd been the last to join, Huo Yu'er was about to explain, but Ye Wen's subtle glance stopped her.

"So, tell me, Tang Ya," he continued, his voice calm but carrying a hint of humor. "Do you really think your master is a Dark Soul Master?"

The more friendly and calm he seemed, the more terrified Tang Ya felt. Please, stay back!

She quickly shook her head, desperately denying her suspicions. But Ye Wen only laughed, and soon the others joined in. Even Snowy, the little Ice Spirit, began to laugh, her giggles joining in with the group's amusement.

Caught in the middle, Tang Ya finally began to realize she'd been the target of some gentle teasing.

"Wait, aren't Dark Soul Masters supposed to be deranged?" she muttered. "This doesn't feel right at all. It's like they're messing with me…"

Finally, Ye Wen signaled for quiet, allowing the laughter to die down. Then, bringing his hands together, he formed a series of complex hand seals.

"Domain Expansion: Boundless World."

Chapter 470: The True Tang Sect, Part 6

"Allow me to reintroduce myself," Ye Wen began calmly. "I am Ye Wen, a god who seeks to bring true peace to the Douluo Continent."

While everyone else was accustomed to Ye Wen's Domain Expansion, Tang Ya stood in awe, unable to take her eyes off the vast white space around her.

Though she wanted to deny everything Ye Wen had said, the experiences of the past few days the descent of Tang San's decree, her title of Tang Sect leader being taken away, the emotional storms had opened her mind. She also couldn't ignore all she'd seen from Ye Wen during their journey.

Dark Soul Masters weren't like this.

Dark Soul Masters were supposed to be cruel, bloodthirsty executioners who toyed with souls and slaughtered indiscriminately. They would never go on a merry journey filled with laughter and care, like the one Ye Wen had given her and the other girls.

So, however far fetched, Tang Ya found herself praying like a child, hoping it was all true. She tried to speak, but her words caught in her throat, leaving her speechless.

Ye Wen smiled; with a single thought, he calmed her frayed nerves. Tang Ya looked at him, watching him transform in her mind into a figure of almost mythic proportions. She asked, breathless, "Master, are you… really a god?"

Ye Wen stepped forward, gently brushing the messy strands from her forehead.

"That's right. You are now the disciple of a god, little Tang Ya," he replied, teasing her warmly.

Reassured by his answer, Tang Ya felt a sense of calm she hadn't known in a long time. After a moment, the longing she had been suppressing overcame her.

"Master, please, could you… could you bring my parents back as well?"

Ye Wen wasn't surprised by her request, but he was taken aback by how deeply her wish to revive them resonated within her. Seeing the pleading, hopeful light in the young girl's clear eyes, Ye Wen fell silent for a moment. He gently placed a hand on her head, sighing.

"I'm sorry, Tang Ya. Xiao Xiao's parents could be brought back because, even before their death, they were at the Titled Douluo level. Their immense spiritual power preserved fragments of their souls, even after all those years. Restoring them wasn't easy, but it was possible."

Tang Ya's hopeful gaze began to dim.

"The Tang Sect wouldn't have fallen to a third rate sect if we'd had even one Titled Douluo," she murmured to herself, understanding fully.

Ye Wen, sensing her sorrow, gently patted her head. "The deceased have already departed, Tang Ya. There's this common belief that gods are omnipotent, but that's simply a lie. Gods are just stronger Soul Masters nothing more."

Ye Wen's words hit Tang Ya hard. While she wished he could bring her parents back, she knew he was right. After a few moments, she gave him a small, wooden nod of acceptance.

As her mind cleared and she felt the warmth of Ye Wen's comforting hand on her head, her face reddened slightly. It had been so long since she felt truly protected like this, and she savored it.

Ye Wen, noticing her quiet happiness, chuckled as he realized how soft and smooth her hair felt under his hand, like stroking a cat. He gently withdrew his hand and continued, "Tang Ya, the past is gone. I hope you don't dwell on it for too long. Although I can't bring your parents back, wouldn't you like to avenge them?"

These words struck Tang Ya right where she was most vulnerable. The girl, who had been consumed by her doubts, now straightened, her eyes blazing with newfound determination.

"Yes, Master! I will avenge my parents!"

"Good." Ye Wen smiled approvingly. Now that she was on the right path, he brought out a carefully prepared celestial herb.

"Tang Ya, this will allow you to start over."

While Tang Ya's mutated Dark Blue Silver Grass allowed her to quickly improve her strength by absorbing power from others, Ye Wen knew it was a shortcut, a path that would only lead her to a dead end. She could grow rapidly in the short term, but with each advancement, the limitations of the technique would become more severe. Energy tainted by violence and rage could never rival pure, refined strength.

The truth was that her Dark Blue Silver Grass wasn't as simple as it seemed. In fact, she carried the bloodline of the Blue Silver Emperor itself an inheritance that the Tang Sect had carefully safeguarded over millennia. Unfortunately, Tang San, forever oblivious to this fact, had overlooked her potential.

But Ye Wen would awaken her true talent.

Instead of dark power, he would unlock the pure, vibrant life force the Blue Silver Grass was always meant to embody.

Time passed as Tang Ya's face softened, her delicate features taking on a new glow. Her darkened hair, originally transformed to an almost obsidian black when her dark spirit awakened, gradually regained its natural azure hue. As she exhaled, she lifted her hands, marveling at the change. They were slender, her skin smoother and more refined than ever before.

When Ye Wen handed her a mirror, she was taken aback by her reflection.

"Is that really me?"

The girl in the mirror bore a faint resemblance to the old Tang Ya, but she was now stunningly beautiful, radiating an almost divine beauty. This transformation was similar to what Tang San had experienced upon awakening his own dormant bloodline.

"It's because your martial soul is actually the Blue Silver Emperor," Ye Wen explained. "Due to certain reasons, it had remained in its dormant form as ordinary Blue Silver Grass. Think about it true Blue Silver Grass users only reach a spirit power of about level two. Yet you had seven or eight levels from the start. Does that seem ordinary to you?"

Tang Ya, though grateful, still held a certain reverence for Tang San, despite her recent hardships. Instinctively, she felt compelled to defend his legacy.

"But the ancestor, Tang San, didn't he also wield the Blue Silver Grass and reach full spirit power?"

Ye Wen raised an eyebrow, his tone laced with amusement and disdain. "You really believe that nonsense? Haven't you studied at all? Even Yu Xiaogang's theories mention that spirit power is directly tied to the quality of a martial soul. Do you really think ordinary Blue Silver Grass could have produced someone with full spirit power?"

"That was the Blue Silver Emperor, just like yours, yet you were born with its potential left unrealized."

Ye Wen's words made perfect sense, leaving Tang Ya stunned into silence.
