Chapter 461 - Chapter 463: Tianxing Emerges

Chapter 463: Tianxing Emerges

Ye Wen had no intention of killing Mu En he'd held back intentionally. After all, if Mu En were to die, the whole of Douluo Continent would descend into chaos, hindering Huo Yu´er's growth.

Yet, it was evident that Mu En wasn't about to let Ye Wen leave without answers.

"So, you want to probe for information?" Ye Wen thought, casting a sharp glance at Mu En.

This so called "benevolent elder dragon" clearly wasn't the morally grand figure depicted in legends. But why would he be? As the strongest figure on Douluo Continent, it was impossible to survive on power alone without using one's wits. Not everyone could act purely on ideals like Qian Renxue or Bibi Dong.

Ye Wen looked down at the sleeping Xiao Xue'er in his arms.

It's come to this, he thought, realizing that after tonight, they would be investigated until there was nothing left undiscovered. Staying hidden in Shrek City was no longer an option.

Initially, he'd intended to sit in the background, observing as his disciples, with his guidance, gradually became the most powerful figures on the continent. But now it seemed he'd have to take a different path.

"My name is Ye Wen, titled 'Tianxing Douluo,'" he announced. "And yes, as I'm sure you suspected, I too am an Ultimate Douluo."

Mu En's previously kind gaze narrowed sharply; though he'd anticipated this, the blunt confirmation hit harder than expected.

Tianxing, he mused, the name triggering a recent memory. It was the same mysterious yet powerful sect that Xuanzi had reported on not long ago. He'd dismissed it at the time as paranoia, but now he realized that the threat was real.

Mu En's brow furrowed momentarily, then relaxed as he weighed his options. Although another Ultimate Douluo disrupted the balance of Douluo Continent, it could also present an opportunity for Shrek Academy.

"Ah, the Tianxing Douluo your reputation precedes you," Mu En replied, concealing his unease behind a courteous smile. He then revealed his true intentions. "Regarding this incident, Shrek Academy deeply regrets what has happened. Aside from your one strike against me, Shrek would like to offer you compensation and assist in punishing those responsible."

Both men saw through each other's tactics. Ye Wen, sensing Mu En's motives, replied indifferently, "There's no need. I'll be handling my own justice after all, I am also an Ultimate Douluo."

He gave Mu En a knowing look, one that unsettled the elder, who realized just how challenging Ye Wen could be.

Mu En hadn't paid much attention to the Tianxing Sect initially. According to Xuanzi's report, it was an obscure sect, reclusive and lacking ambition. But with Ye Wen's presence, Mu En now took Tianxing very seriously; the sect clearly possessed a strength unlike any Mu En had foreseen. And if Shrek Academy were to gain Ye Wen as an ally…

Yet Ye Wen had seen through Mu En's attempt to lure him in.

I can't be too hasty, Mu En thought, inwardly recalculating his approach. Ye Wen's emergence from the shadows meant that he'd no longer remain obscure; this situation still left opportunities to plan and strategize.

"If that's your decision, I won't press you further. I wish you the best in your endeavors," Mu En replied with forced warmth as he turned to leave. But Ye Wen's voice halted him.

"Wait."

Mu En froze, mentally spinning through responses, ready for whatever might come next. But Ye Wen didn't intend to entangle himself in verbal sparring. By now, he'd concluded that staying at Shrek was wasting time.

The people of Douluo Continent had endured the dominance of Shrek Academy and Sun Moon Empire for long enough.

It was time for a new, powerful academy to rise.

"Next year, I'll establish an advanced soul master academy in the Tianhun Empire," Ye Wen announced calmly. "I'd like to extend an invitation to Shrek to witness its inauguration."

Without waiting for a response, Ye Wen turned, ready to leave with his disciples and head out on his new mission.

Mu En's calm mask cracked, and he glared after Ye Wen, his eyes filled with apprehension.

This could spell disaster.

Mu En's mind raced. Soul guidance technology was still relatively undeveloped, so Ultimate Douluos held significant power. The Sun Moon Empire, despite its victories over the continent's three other nations, couldn't act recklessly as long as Mu En remained a deterrent.

But if Ye Wen were to establish a soul master academy, spearheaded by another Ultimate Douluo one who wasn't old and near the end of his life like Mu En then the delicate peace that Mu En had fought to preserve would be jeopardized.

"Tianxing Douluo… Ye Wen… I hope you know what you're doing. Even as an Ultimate Douluo, you'd be unwise to underestimate Shrek Academy."

Seeing their leader standing motionless for so long, the other elders approached Mu En cautiously. Before they could voice their concern, he turned and said, "Let's go. Call a meeting of the Sea God Pavilion elders. There is a grave matter to discuss."

The Sea God Pavilion Elder Meeting was only convened for matters of the utmost urgency. No words were exchanged between the elders as they watched Mu En lead the way, knowing the severity of the situation.

In the Shrek dormitory, Huo Yu´er, Jiang Nannan, and Xiao Xiao had already received word of the incident and hurried back. When they arrived, they were surprised to find Ye Wen, his figure radiant with golden soul power.

Startled, the three disciples bowed respectfully to their teacher, accustomed by now to his extraordinary abilities. Ye Wen wasted no time in explaining what had happened and revealing his plans.

"You can't stay at Shrek anymore. The academy will soon investigate the connection between us. I've decided to create a new soul master academy, and I'd like you all to join me."

The three disciples exchanged looks before agreeing without hesitation. Shrek had little that would make them want to stay especially now, with Ye Wen, who could offer them far more.

Jiang Nannan and Xiao Xiao immediately began gathering their belongings. However, after they left, Huo Yu´er remained in the room, her face troubled. Finally, she knelt before Ye Wen.

"I'm so sorry, Master."
