Chapter 355 - Chapter 418: Huo Yu´er

Chapter 418: Huo Yu´er

Ye Wen's gaze flickered with a glint of impatience, and after a long pause, he snorted coldly.

"I'll believe you this time. But if this happens again, I'll dismantle you for research. I still have your other counterpart in my possession, so I'm not worried about the loss."

"Y yes, of course," the Plow stammered in relief, having narrowly avoided destruction.

Both Ye Wen's original self and his clone shared the same mindset, and each confirmed the time needed for the return journey. Ye Wen took a moment to survey his surroundings. Though he'd intended to land on planet Douluo, he found himself far off course and currently drifting in space.

"Good thing I'm a god and don't need to worry about suffocating," he muttered, making a mental note against the Plow before turning his attention to the familiar yet slightly different planet Douluo below.

The Douluo planet in his original timeline had been vastly developed and transformed from centuries of cosmic expansion. This Douluo, by contrast, was far more primitive.

Originally, Douluo planet had five continents, but here it had only four, with the largest one having merged with the Douluo continent over the course of 10,000 years due to certain underhanded machinations by a god, forming a new, unified Douluo Continent.

"At least the timeline is correct," Ye Wen mused with satisfaction.

The Plow rubbed its tiny turtle hands together. "Naturally, Lord Ye Wen, I locked onto this universe initially, so the earlier disruption was purely because your power caused an energy shortage."

"Quiet," Ye Wen snapped coldly. "Gather time space energy immediately. Otherwise, I'll really dismantle you!"

With that, he stored the Plow back in his spatial inventory.

Although he had temporarily molded this clone with divine power, it was still unrooted in this universe, where no one believed in him as the God of Han Hai. Hmm…

Ye Wen paused thoughtfully. In a strict sense, he was also a Sea God, just at a higher level. If Tang San intended to compete with him for faith energy, he'd likely be overpowered. Although Tang San was a genius at learning, he was rigid and unoriginal. His so called God King power largely came from the Asura God position.

As for the Sea God's position? It was hardly impressive.

Recalling distant memories, Ye Wen remembered that Tang San's divine title on Douluo Continent was "Sea God Tang San" and never "Asura God Tang San." Had he been unable to gather enough faith energy because the Slaughter City had been destroyed?

Shrugging, Ye Wen stopped overthinking it and set foot on Douluo Continent.

He wanted to experience this chaotic and unrefined era for himself. Since Douluo Continent in this era was still under the domain of the Douluo Divine Realm, he decided to keep a low profile, concealing his power to the limit of a rank 99 pseudo god. At this level, even someone like Dragon God Mu En would be no more than a bug he could squash.

"Let's see where I am."

Ye Wen looked around. He had randomly selected a prosperous city within the Star Luo Empire's territory, but hadn't checked whose jurisdiction it was.

The old fashioned architecture brought back memories not because he recognized it, but because it was as antiquated as Douluo Continent had been 10,000 years ago. Seeing this, Ye Wen sighed inwardly. Humanity's courage was admirable, but under decayed leadership, the world inevitably stagnated.

Soon, Ye Wen's brows knit together as he realized his location.

The Duke's Mansion of White Tiger.

Ye Wen had never thought much of the Evil Eyed White Tiger martial spirit. It was a mediocre spirit that relied on fusion with a weaker spirit to achieve power. If not for that, Dai Mubai wouldn't have been humiliated by commoner soul masters in the original timeline.

In that timeline, the royal Dai family of the Star Luo Empire had suffered heavy losses defending against the Sun Moon Empire's invasion. They were ultimately replaced by the hidden Star Crown Sect, the Xu family. Customarily, the White Tiger lineage should have been exterminated, but due to their reputation as heroes who defended against foreign invasion and as family of a former Shrek Seven Devil they were demoted to dukes instead.

If this timeline aligned with his understanding, then Ye Wen felt a sense of disgust.

The current White Tiger Duke, Dai Hao, was a central figure in securing his military authority by massacring Sun Moon civilians, thus triggering the tragic events that shaped Huo Yuhao's love interest, Orange, in the second Douluo series.

"Tsk, typical. White Tiger martial spirit users are all no good types. Thank goodness little Yuhao didn't inherit that trashy spirit, or he'd be a lost cause," Ye Wen muttered.

Then he found himself hesitating. Should he look for Huo Yuhao?

After all, as the chosen one of fate, he had been a prime target of Tang San's manipulation from the very start. But Ye Wen's own thoughts amused him; he had become the true final boss, and on this planet, he had the strength to contend with the entire Douluo Divine Realm.

He laid out a mental map of his next steps and decided to observe Douluo's protagonist briefly to avoid confusion later on.

But what he saw left him speechless.

The protagonist was easy to identify, given his unique body martial spirit, which had only appeared in this series, and his low spirit power of around ten levels.

But this weeping, scrawny little girl what on earth was she?

Glancing at the nearby grave marker, Ye Wen read the inscription: Tomb of Huo Yun'er, by her daughter Huo Yu´er.

Huo Yuhao's mother was indeed Huo Yun'er, but since when had Douluo's leading man become a little girl?

Taking the Plow out of his space, Ye Wen scowled.

"Explain why this little girl should clearly be a boy."

The Plow looked back, bewildered by Ye Wen's conviction that this person was supposed to be male.

But as a creation of the once transcendent Otsutsuki god, it quickly composed itself and offered an explanation.

"Lord Ye Wen, as you know, I travel across parallel universes. In the infinite multiverse, there exist countless variations of each timeline. Due to numerous unpredictable factors, sometimes a male might be female, and a female might be male."

Ye Wen suddenly recalled that parallel universes were not mere copies of the original world but unique outcomes based on alternate choices.

In fact, the Douluo universe he resided in could also be considered a parallel world. Otherwise, Tang San would have ultimately emerged victorious and reigned as the Sea God and Asura God over the Divine Realm.

"I see."

Expressionless, Ye Wen tossed the Plow back into his inventory.
