Today, people dismissed them as crafting scraps; tomorrow, they would be the currency of power. Once a person reached C rank, leveling became a lot more complicated. It wouldn't be simple monster farming anymore.
At that time one needed a huge amount of resources make any progress. An inevitable bottleneck would strangle even so-called geniuses when they finally hit that wall.
