Chapter - 69
Lucius lay on the cold pavement, his body twitching every few seconds from the aftershocks of the electric surge through his body.
The sharp electric surge that had ripped through his nerves was gone now, but its aftershocks still pulsed inside him.
His muscles refused to listen to him. His fingers were stiff, frozen and his limbs felt like they had been tied to a bag of stone.
His whole body was paralysed, and not even his tongue moved in his mouth. He wanted to scream. He wanted to curse. But not even a squeak would come out of his mouth.
Inside his head though, he was cursing non-stop.
"You lunatic bastard system! You fucking toasted me!"
"How can you do this to me? I thought you would just 'numb' the nerves!"
"I am your master, you fucking idiot."
