The next night, Zhao Rui and Liang Chen arrived at a massive mansion on the outskirts of the city. The house was lit up like a festival, with luxury cars parked outside and security guards at every entrance.
"Tell me again why we're here?" Liang Chen muttered, gripping his camera bag tightly.
Zhao Rui grinned. "Simple. It's a gangster's birthday party, and we're the official photographers!"
"Tell me again why we're here?" Liang Chen muttered, gripping his camera bag tightly.
Zhao Rui grinned. "Simple. It's a gangster's birthday party, and we're the official photographers!"
Liang Chen shot him a glare. "That's not reassuring."
"Relax," Zhao Rui said. "We're just here to take pictures. What's the worst that could happen?"
As they stepped inside, they were immediately hit by loud trap music, flashing neon lights, and the overwhelming scent of cigars and expensive cologne.
At the center of the party sat the birthday boy—Boss Jiang, a notorious gangster with a thick gold chain, sunglasses indoors, and a cigar the size of a baseball bat.
A muscular bodyguard walked up to them. "You the photographers?"
Zhao Rui gulped. "Uh… yes, sir! Zhao Rui and Liang Chen, at your service!"
The bodyguard grunted. "Good. Boss Jiang loves pictures. Just make sure he looks good. Otherwise… well, you don't wanna know."
Liang Chen elbowed Zhao Rui. "I told you this was a bad idea."
"Shh! Just smile and shoot," Zhao Rui whispered.
A Dangerous but Hilarious Night
As they started taking photos, they noticed some… interesting party moments:
1 . Boss Jiang making a dramatic entrance – He walked in through a curtain of smoke while a group of shirtless bodybuilders clapped.
2 .A man bringing a literal suitcase of money as a gift – "Happy birthday, Boss! Here's 10 million yuan!"
3. A pet tiger casually sitting on a velvet couch – "Don't get too close," one guard warned. "He bites."
Zhao Rui snapped a photo and whispered, "Chen… this is not a normal birthday party."
"No kidding," Liang Chen muttered.
Then, Boss Jiang spotted them and waved them over.
"You guys! Take a picture of me and my precious baby!"
They turned—and saw Boss Jiang holding…
A tiny, pink-dressed Pomeranian.
Liang Chen blinked. "Uh…"
Zhao Rui struggled to hold in his laughter. "S-Sure, Boss!"
They took a few shots, capturing the terrifying gangster cuddling his fluffy dog.
Before they left, Boss Jiang patted Zhao Rui's back. "Good job, kid. You made me look handsome. Here's your payment."
He handed them an envelope stuffed with cash.
As they walked out, Zhao Rui grinned. "See? Easy money!"
Liang Chen exhaled. "You're going to get us killed one day."
