Uchiha Madara was utterly baffled.
Could it be that after Su You and her companion Iyas arrived in the Imperial Capital, they didn't encounter the eldest daughter of that vicious family, Ailia, but instead fell into destitution for some other reason, forcing Su You to resort to providing 'special services'?
But that didn't seem right either. Iyas was a grown man, after all. Why wouldn't he go out to find work and earn money himself, instead letting Su You come out to do this? That made no sense.
Furthermore, Uchiha Madara had just offered Su You money, but Su You didn't take it. Instead, she cried and shouted as she lunged forward.
There must be some hidden hardship that Uchiha Madara couldn't comprehend!
Amidst his confusion, Su You, who had been standing pitifully before Uchiha Madara, seemed to compose herself. She dabbed at her tears with a hand, bit her lip, and then, her voice trembling, spoke to Uchiha Madara:

Seemingly not expecting Uchiha Madara to dig for the truth, Su You bit her lip, nervously glancing around, and remained silent in contemplation.
Uchiha Madara looked up, scanning his surroundings. His Kagura Mind's Eye reached out to perceive the area, and he instantly discovered several individuals hidden around himself and Su You.
"Rats in the shadows... it's surveillance... Since that's the case..."
Uchiha Madara extended his hand and waved it dismissively towards his surroundings!
With three swishing sounds, a slender, translucent wind blade rapidly pierced through the air. In three swift swishes, it pierced the foreheads of the three hidden surveillance agents, killing them utterly.
The three individuals had no time to react at all. They merely felt a sudden chill on their foreheads, followed by the appearance of a transparent hole in their heads, before they fell limply to the ground, eyes wide open.
Hearing three muffled thuds around him, Su You looked around frantically, like a startled bird.
Uchiha Madara waved his hand to reassure her:
"Don't worry, those three fellows around here were probably spying on you. I've already killed them. If you have any unspoken troubles, you can tell me now, don't hold back."
Hearing these words, Su You was first stunned, then a flash of anger crossed her face.
Uchiha Madara watched Su You with a half-smile, half-frown. He already had a rough guess in his mind, though he wasn't sure if it was accurate.
The two sat on chairs by the side of the street, bathed in the dim light.
However, though they sat side-by-side, Su You seemed to instinctively maintain a distance as if there was an invisible person between her and Uchiha Madara, clearly still wary of him in her heart.
In such an atmosphere of loneliness and helplessness, Su You finally opened her heart to the stranger, Uchiha Madara:
"I am not from the Imperial Capital. I come from a remote village. To improve the situation in my village, I came here to the Imperial Capital, hoping to find work and a way out, but..."
"But you never imagined that the people in this Imperial Capital are either lambs waiting to be slaughtered, or vicious beasts!"
Uchiha Madara's words hit home. Su You nodded in deep agreement and continued:
"I came with my companion, Iyas. As soon as we arrived in the Imperial Capital, we were tricked out of all our money. Helpless, we could only try to find work to sustain ourselves. It was precisely then that a young lady from a wealthy family, named Ailia, took us in."

There was no need for Su You to say more; Uchiha Madara could already guess what happened next:
"That young lady, Ailia, imprisoned you two and subjected you to inhumane torture, solely to satisfy her perverse desires for release, isn't that right?"
Su You nodded, her body trembling uncontrollably. Even though the temperature was comfortable, her body shook like a sieve, clearly in the grip of extreme terror.
"I never would have thought... Ailia would be such a person... She always... always acted so kind and lovely, I never imagined... that hidden beneath... was such a cruel and perverse personality... This... she's simply a monster..."
Uchiha Madara nodded, listening and indicating his understanding:
