Holding the bow in his left hand, Bai Luo did not draw an arrow with his right.
He watched the muzzle of the Kamuijima Cannon as it glowed once more. He raised his right hand and gently spread his fingers.
Red light entangled and wove together, finally forming a longsword with a bizarre shape. This sword was suffused with an ancient aura; its blade was spiraled like a drill.
Pale red lightning encircled the blade as Bai Luo notched it onto the longbow in his hand.
Taking a deep breath, Bai Luo drew the longbow with perfect form.
The red lightning, which had initially only surrounded the spiral sword, gradually spread to encircle his entire body.
*BOOM—*
The people beside Bai Luo, who had fainted due to the melody of Moon Reflected in the SecondSpring, were blown away by a sudden shockwave. Pale blue energy intertwined with the red lightning, wrapping around the longbow in Bai Luo's grip.
The red lightning grew increasingly intense, forming a stark contrast with the purple thunder of the Kamuijima Cannon.
Seeing the ship shrouded in red light, the officer sensed that something was wrong and immediately ordered all Kamuijima Cannons to fire at once.
"Hah!"
Just after the cannons fired, Bai Luo released his hand.
In an instant, the red light vanished. A deep blue arrow, moving faster than the cannon fire and dragging a sonic boom in its wake, tore across the surface of the sea. It kicked up waves several meters high as it flew toward Tatarasuna.
BOOM—
Under the force of this single arrow, the projectiles from the Kamuijima Cannons were annihilated by the resulting airflow, their previous power rendered invisible.
The deep blue arrow plunged into a pier near Tatarasuna—a location that just happened to house three Kamuijima Cannons.
After a moment of silence at the pier, a wave of force expanded from the point of impact.
Ships, cargo, the floorboards...
Everything shattered under this power. One ship was even blown out of the water, landing askew on the shoreline.
A mushroom cloud rose into the sky. As seawater rushed in to fill the void, the Shogunate army's entire pier—including two Kamuijima Cannons—was completely wiped out by this single arrow.
With this, only three Kamuijima Cannons remained in all of Tatarasuna.
The longbow dissipated, and Bai Luo's outfit reverted to the *Battousai* style.
This trial card had a time limit, and to achieve the goal of intimidation, he had used almost all of the card's power in that one strike.
"And that was just an Elemental Skill... If I could use the Elemental Burst, I might actually be able to go toe-to-toe with a God. Pity it's just a trial card."
Bai Luo didn't feel tired after firing that shot.
Since the arrow mostly utilized the power of the trial card itself, the toll on him wasn't significant.
But even so, that wasn't the full power of the technique.
Looking at the gap he had blasted into Tatarasuna, Bai Luo couldn't help but marvel.
"I finally have an attack that can alter terrain."
Bai Luo's arrow had indeed intimidated the Shogunate army.
Not just the army, but the people on the refugee ship were equally awe-struck.
In their impression, the only ones capable of altering the terrain were the legendary gods.
Just look at Musoujin Gorge; the slash delivered by the Raiden Shogun back then still affects the area to this day.
Could it be that this red-clothed wanderer...
Creak—
Before the crowd could react, a strange noise came from the ferry beneath their feet.
The ferry had already been riddled with holes by the Shogunate army, and after the shockwaves from the nearby cannon fire, it could no longer hold together.
It was a miracle it had lasted this long.
Bai Luo's arrow had terrified the Shogunate forces, ensuring the soldiers on the shore dared not use the Kamuijima Cannons again.
But...
It didn't matter anymore whether they fired or not.
Because this ship could no longer be saved.
"Fix the ship!"
Only then did some people react. They scrambled into the hold, intending to patch the leaks.
But the moment they touched the water flooding into the hull, they trembled and collapsed into the water.
Due to the Kamuijima Cannons, the surrounding seawater was filled with high-voltage current.
No one could enter it.
In other words... Bai Luo's arrow had merely delayed the ferry's sinking.
"Lord God! Save us! We are willing to worship you!"
"Lord Battousai! Please, use your power one more time! We beg you!"
At this moment, Bai Luo had become the savior of the entire ship. After witnessing that arrow, many even regarded him as a god.
But Bai Luo could only respond with a wry smile.
Because he had absolutely no options left.
In despair, people began to jump into the sea.
Even though they knew the water meant certain death, they preferred a momentary release over waiting on the ship to die.
The electrified seawater gradually submerged the deck, and more and more people died amidst the electric light.
Gritting his teeth, Bai Luo chopped off a large piece of wood and, using ropes from the mast, created a small platform.
He tried to gather people onto it, but the platform could only support a few dozen.
And in this desperate situation, the power of the Tatarigami erupted once again.
It wasn't just the madmen; even those who had seemed relatively normal began to descend into madness.
Blood started seeping from their bodies. The red blood mixed with the pale purple seawater, making the scene increasingly grotesque.
Among everyone present, aside from Bai Luo and Tatyana beside him, almost everyone was affected by the Tatarigami.
Is the Tatarigami evil?
Actually, it isn't.
Just like the fallout from Havria's death, the impact of a fallen god on the surroundings is something the god themselves cannot control.
But for humans, this lack of control is a devastating catastrophe.
If it were just that, it wouldn't be a problem; one simply has to avoid it.
But these humans, at some point, learned to utilize this influence.
When humans grasp a power they were never meant to wield... disaster follows.
"Sigh."
A sigh was heard.
In an instant, snow began to fall.
In a season when snow should not fall, goosefeather-heavy snow drifted over the sea.
The power of ice and snow completely enveloped the area where the Tatarigami was concentrated, freezing those who attempted to scatter into the sea within a small radius.
The people who had been struggling in agony now wore expressions of peaceful serenity.
Though they were in the dead of a magical winter, frost covering their faces, it was as if they had returned to their mother's embrace. They curled up together and fell into a deep sleep.
A sleep from which they would never wake.
"Your Majesty!"
Standing beside Bai Luo, Tatyana respectfully bent her knees, kneeling on the frost-covered ice surface and bowing toward Bai Luo.
However, the object of her reverence was not Bai Luo, but the phantom floating behind him.
Every Fatui Harbinger possesses authority granted by the Tsaritsa, but Tatyana had not expected the Tsaritsa to descend in this manner.
What shocked her even more was that this God, who was said to no longer love humanity—this God whom humanity would no longer love—had performed a miracle for the sake of humans in a foreign land.
