Ye Anhao smiled bitterly. Even if she wiped away the marks on her body, so what? She was already unclean.
She leaned powerlessly against the cold wall. Her body slowly slid down until she sat weakly on the ground, burying her head in her knees. Just let her be sad for a few minutes. Just a few minutes would be enough.
She didn't know how long had passed when a knocking sound came from outside the bathroom door, "Anhao, Anhao!"
Ye Anhao suddenly pulled herself together. She took a deep breath, trying to collect her emotions, cleared her throat, and responded, "Grandma, I'm here."
"Don't stay in there for too long, come out and eat."
"Okay, I'll be out right away."
When Ye Anhao walked out of the bathroom, Grandma Ye had already prepared lunch, even dished out a serving for her.
Looking at the three dishes and one soup on the table, Ye Anhao felt a warmth in her heart and then sat down by the table.
