"Tangtang, you're back?" Dad glanced back briefly and continued at his desk.
"Dad, did your student come by just now?" Sheng Tang asked.
"Yes." Dad's mind was still on the manuscript in front of him, likely revising a student's paper, he answered absent-mindedly.
"What did she come for? Why didn't she find you at school instead of coming to our home?" Sheng Tang asked.
Dad replied, "She hasn't turned in her assignment again, so she came to plead. This student is really strange, can't keep up with her assignments, her mind is always elsewhere."
"Is she still coming to turn in her assignment?" Sheng Tang asked.
Dad nodded.
It was clear that he still had no sense of urgency.
"Dad, can you do me a favor?" Sheng Tang asked.
Dad finally took his eyes off the paper and looked at his younger daughter, "What favor?"
He thought Sheng Tang wanted money to buy something.
