Yet, as eerie as it was, it seemed undeniably captivating.
This is the story of a person with dual personalities. One of the personalities committed murder, leading him to be imprisoned. A lawyer took up his case and gradually discovered that he was a patient with dissociative identity disorder, striving to win him an acquittal. During the trial, the lawyer forced his second personality to emerge.
He was found not guilty. However, when the lawyer thought she had truly helped him, she realized that the first personality was far from innocent. What's more, it was highly likely that the man wasn't suffering from any dissociative disorder at all—everything was simply his performance, deceiving everyone.
Such a seemingly complex yet fundamentally simple character, requiring exceptional acting skills, wouldn't naturally reveal this much in a trailer.
