Chapter 7 - Chapter 7

Vidhan looked around with teary eyes- the birds were still chirping and flying in the sky. The trees were still rustling their leaves, the squirrels were still hopping. There was no change in anyone's life, the world moves at its own pace, and it never stops for anyone.

Everyone is happy, only he is sad. Everyone should share his sorrow. Is the reason for his sadness only that he is the only relative of Guru Kan? If it is so, then the whole world should become related to each other, so that everyone can share each other's sorrow. These birds, squirrels, trees and all humans should be tied to each other...

His heart was sinking with sorrow, and he asked in his sorrowful mind, with whom should I share my sorrow, then somewhere in his heart a thought arose that sorrow is also something that can be shared. If something has to be shared then it is better to share happiness that is not related to each other. Otherwise, if one person is sad then the whole world is sad and those who are happy, let them remain happy, make them sad with your sorrow.

While he was still contemplating, he felt that someone was rubbing his shoulder. Coming back to the real world, he saw that the horse was rubbing its nostrils. Vidhan realized that he was not alone in his sorrow. He caressed the Mayur's neck, picked up the black saddle and tied it on its back and then sat on it with a sword, spear and shield.

Vidhan wiped his tears and planted the tree on the pyre. After going some distance, he stopped and looked back. The raging fire of the pyre was still chanting Guru Kaan's name.

Vidhan took a vow, "Oh father! I will never disrespect your teachings. You have always called revenge poison. I promise that I will never take revenge but I will punish that vile Sudas.

He took a deep breath and started for home. In the forest on the way, the cuckoo sang in the evening and invited him to the competition again, but he ignored it.

After Vidhan left, a shadow wearing a purple turban and military uniform appeared from the bushes. He was hiding in the bushes and had been watching Vidhan's activities for a long time. He came out of the bushes and reached the pyre and stood there until the entire pyre was extinguished.

He tied the ashes of the pyre in his hands and to show warrior respect, he pressed his thumb and dropped two drops of blood on the pyre. He went near the fallen soldiers, investigated a bit, looked around cautiously and then walked away.
