Chapter 43 - Chapter 43: The Fracture of Trust

Alia's colleague also stepped out, leaving behind a strange silence that spread through the room. The curtain swayed gently in the breeze.

Just then, Anashia took Alia's hand.

Alia had her eyes closed, but suddenly they flew open in shock.

"You? Like this…?"

Anashia spoke softly,

"Try to understand, Alia. I'm not here to hurt you."

Alia stared silently, not uttering a word.

After a pause, Anashia whispered,

"There's so much you don't know about this Korean city. I'm going to tell you something real..."

Alia looked straight into her eyes.

Anashia spoke slowly,

"Your husband Victor… he's a—"

"Victor is a double agent," Anashia suddenly blurted out.

Alia's eyes widened. Her voice trembled,

"You… what are you saying? That's not true. You're lying. Victor would never do that. He told me himself—he's an FSB special operative… working against America."

Tears welled up in her eyes, but she tried to hold herself together.

"No… I can't believe this. He loves me. Someone who loves you… how could they deceive you like this?"

Anashia remained silent for a moment, then said calmly,

"Even if you don't believe it now… one day, Alia, you will know the truth."

Alia could no longer hold back. Tears streamed down her face. But she quickly wiped them away and said firmly,

"I'm not an ordinary woman, Anashia. You can't fool me that easily."

Anashia gave a faint smile and said gravely,

"My princess, try to understand… I'm not lying to you."

At that very moment, Alia's phone rang. The screen showed a familiar name: Nancy — her covert agent.

Alia answered,

"Hello?"

Nancy quickly responded,

"Ma'am, I have to inform you — Victor sir… he lied to you. He's been working for a secret American agency for the past three years."

Alia couldn't hear anything after that. The phone slipped from her hand and fell to the floor. She stared ahead blankly.

"Did I just… hear that?" she whispered, disbelieving.

Anashia slowly said,

"Now do you understand, Alia? If you want, you can take real revenge now."

Alia looked down, a strange shadow in her eyes.

Anashia stepped closer.

"If you want… you can work for NLS. Go against them. Go against Victor. Are you ready?"

Alia calmly said,

"But that's what I was trying to explain to you, Anashia… You're CIA, and I'm NLS. The CIA's presence is already a threat to Russia. If you join MLS, it would actually be better for you."

Anashia took a deep breath, stayed silent for a moment, then smiled faintly.

"You're only here for a month, for one mission. Just keep going. Don't worry. Tonight, you're coming with me."

Alia didn't reply. She quietly went to her room, closed the door, and sat down on the bed. Her eyes filled with tears, and she broke down, crying. Eventually, she fell asleep, still crying.

That night, her colleague Yash came in silently and stood beside her.

Alia opened her eyes and gave a faint smile.

"You came…?"

Her hair was messy. Yash gently fixed it with his hand.

"Best of luck, my princess," he whispered in her ear.

He covered her with a blanket. Alia drifted into deep sleep, finally finding a moment of peace.

---

Evening.

Cherry blossoms floated down from the sky. Alia stood alone on the balcony, her hair swaying in the wind. Her eyes were thoughtful, yet there was a hint of peace.

Yash came and stood beside her, holding a steaming cup of tea.

"Come, sit and have some," he said.

Alia didn't speak, just took the tea and sat down. She smiled faintly and took a sip.

Suddenly, the phone rang. On the screen: Victor Calling.

Alia stared at it for a moment. Then, without saying anything, she answered.

Yash, standing nearby, saw her and motioned to take the call.

He placed the phone to his ear and said politely,

"Sir, ma'am is not at home."

Victor's voice was heavy and stern.

"Where did she go?"

"Ma'am stepped outside, sir," Yash replied briefly.

A silent sigh could be heard from the other end. Then Victor coldly said,

"Let me know when she returns."

He hung up.

Alia's vision blurred as tears welled up. Her lips trembled. She couldn't hold back — a tear rolled down her cheek.

"Ma'am… what's wrong?" Yash asked quietly.

Alia, voice shaking, said,

"Nothing… it's nothing, Yash."

Yash stood beside her and gently said,

"Ma'am, let's take a walk. We'll meet Anashia."

Alia paused.

"You… how did you know I was going to meet Anashia?"

Yash smiled slightly,

"I heard everything, ma'am… these walls have ears."

In her mind, Alia whispered:

She fell for the man who was sent to destroy her.

A silent moment. The scent of cherry blossoms in the air. A stillness where love, betrayal, and emotion blended into one.

Alia stepped outside. Yash was beside her. The Korean street smelled softly of flowers. Alia walked playfully, occasionally smiling at Yash, sometimes lost in thought. Yash looked around cautiously, always alert.

"I'm always thinking about your safety," he said, his hand clenched protectively.

Suddenly, bright headlights flashed in the distance. A car stopped. The window rolled down — Anashia's face appeared.

Alia turned to Yash and said quickly,

"Yash, go now. This is for me."

Yash smiled,

"Stay safe."

Alia nodded and slowly approached the car. Anashia opened the door and pulled her in.

"Let's fix your hair first," she said with a smile.

Though surprised, Alia nodded.

Anashia trimmed her hair quickly.

"Mission begins," she said.

As the car drove off, Alia focused all her strength. Her mind and body shifted into full preparation mode.

Martial arts, hand-to-hand combat — Taekwondo, Krav Maga, Karate, Jiu-Jitsu — it all ran through her veins.

She was a master of modern tech — cyber security, breaking encryptions, drone control, spy tools.

Commands echoed silently in her mind — hacking, psychological warfare, cyber intelligence.

Inside a Russian mafia hideout, she cracked multiple layers of encryption, destroyed crucial data. Every success brought a subtle smile to her lips — this was how she was reclaiming her freedom.

When the mafia was cornered, Alia took a deep breath and smiled — full of faith in her strength and intellect.

---

Late night.

Beyond disguises, missions, and the politics of shadows, something else echoed louder in Alia's heart tonight.

Anashia quietly appeared at her door.

"Alia, can you come here?"

Alia silently got up and went to Anashia's room. As soon as the door closed, Anashia hugged her tightly.

Her voice trembled, eyes filled with tears.

"I… I love you, Alia."

Alia stood frozen. After a few seconds, she spoke, her voice shaking,

"This isn't possible, Anashia. I'm a married woman."

Anashia suddenly fell to her knees, holding her hands together, desperately trying not to cry.

"I know… but I'm truly crazy about you. Without you… I have nothing."
