Chapter 126 - Chapter 126: Treating the Emperor

Chapter 126: Treating the Emperor

To unify all the viruses within the body and form the Plague God, a unique cultivation method was required.

He named this technique "Plague God Sutra."

Once one successfully refined the Plague God within their body, they would not only gain control over viruses but, at the highest level, could absorb any negative afflictions diseases, injuries, poisons, curses, and all harmful elements into their own body, transforming them into part of the Plague God's vast arsenal of pathogens.

Because, according to the philosophy of the Plague God Sutra all harm is disease! All toxins are plagues!

Since they are viruses, they naturally fall under the domain of the Plague God.

Moreover, those who practiced the Plague God Sutra could transmit their viruses to their opponents during battle, forcing them to fall ill and suffer terrifying afflictions.

In Ye Cheng's vision, if his Plague God could one day reach a level where it could infect even lifeless matter the sun, the moon, the stars, the universe itself…

What kind of power would that be?

At that point, he would no longer be just a healer… but the true Plague God!

After taking a moment to adjust to his new body and abilities, Ye Cheng used a spatial mark he had prepared in advance to teleport his Sun Zhongjing persona to his intended location.

Outside Heaven Dou City.

In a hidden corner, Sun Zhongjing silently appeared.

His attire closely resembled the image shown in the video. Anyone who saw him would immediately recognize him as the legendary divine doctor.

At the city gates.

A long line of people waited to pay the entrance tax and enter the city.

Sun Zhongjing did not conceal himself at all, walking openly toward the bustling crowd.

Along the way, countless pedestrians turned their heads to look at him.

If not for the future vision shown in the livestream, no one would have thought that this seemingly ordinary old man was actually a peak rank Limit Douluo.

Instinctively, the crowd stepped aside to make way for him.

Sun Zhongjing merely smiled gently at them and continued toward the city gates.

When the guards saw him, they didn't even dare to ask for the entrance tax.

However, the old man was a man of principle.

So as he passed by the tax collection box, he casually tossed a few coins inside.

As soon as he stepped into the city, Sun Zhongjing keenly sensed several pairs of eyes monitoring him from the shadows.

He paid them no mind.

Instead, he leisurely wandered the streets, searching for a temporary inn.

However, he knew that he wouldn't need one today.

Because soon enough someone would come looking for him.

As a doctor, what else could people possibly seek him out for, if not to cure an illness?

Sure enough.

Sun Zhongjing had barely strolled around for a few minutes before a large group of armored soldiers approached him.

Leading them was a middle aged man with an extraordinary aura.

Of course, they weren't here to cause trouble.

After all, thanks to the livestream, the entire world now knew that this seemingly ordinary elder was, in fact, a legendary Limit Douluo.

Who would be foolish enough to provoke him?

"And you are…?"

Sun Zhongjing asked curiously, though in his heart, he already knew their identities.

This was the capital of the Heaven Dou Empire.

These armored soldiers were clearly the Emperor's royal guards.

And the one leading them was undoubtedly a member of the imperial family.

"Greetings, Your Eminence, Medicine King."

The middle aged man was not wearing armor, an obvious sign of his noble status.

After respectfully bowing, he finally spoke:

"His Majesty the Emperor has requested your presence. He humbly asks that you enter the palace to treat a patient."

"Oh? Who would have thought that a mere village doctor like myself would trouble the Emperor to send for me?"

Sun Zhongjing feigned mild surprise before standing up leisurely.

"Very well, let us go."

The nobleman waved his hand, and a luxurious carriage was immediately brought forth.

Sun Zhongjing did not protest.

He simply boarded the carriage at a calm, measured pace, just like an ordinary elder.

The nobleman secretly sighed in relief.

He had feared that this grandmaster would refuse, but true to the video, Sun Zhongjing lived by the principle of a healer's duty he would not reject a patient in need.

Onward to the Imperial Palace!

The nobleman personally drove the carriage, escorting Sun Zhongjing into the palace.

They passed through the heavily guarded gates without issue, proving that the arrangements had been made in advance.

Upon arrival, the nobleman spoke respectfully:

"Your Eminence, we have arrived."

A group of palace servants rushed forward, opening the carriage door.

Sun Zhongjing stepped out slowly, his hands clasped behind his back, calmly surveying the grand palace halls.

His expression remained unchanged.

"Your Eminence, this way, please."

The nobleman led the way, guiding him toward the Emperor's sleeping chambers.

However, just as they were about to enter, they were blocked.

A group of fully armored imperial guards raised their long spears, barring their path.

The nobleman produced a royal token, which the guards examined before stepping aside.

Just as they were about to proceed, a smooth and elegant male voice rang out:

"So this is the esteemed Medicine King? I never expected such a distinguished figure to grace us with his presence today. I must apologize for not welcoming you sooner."

Following the voice, Sun Zhongjing looked up to see a handsome young man approaching.

"Crown Prince."

The nobleman's expression tensed slightly, though he concealed it well, greeting the prince with a polite smile:

"His Majesty has been unwell lately. By chance, I encountered the Medicine King and invited him to examine the Emperor."

"I see."

The young man nodded knowingly, then turned to Sun Zhongjing and bowed respectfully.

"Your Eminence, I entrust my father's health to you."

Sun Zhongjing's gaze lingered on the young prince, his expression playful yet meaningful.

Even without prior knowledge of the "plot," his medical expertise alone was enough to see through this prince's disguise.

This "Crown Prince" was not a man.

Perhaps the disguise could fool ordinary people, but it was impossible to deceive a physician who had mastered the secrets of the human body.

Meanwhile, the so called Crown Prince Qian Renxue was far from calm.

She was under immense pressure.

If possible, she would have stopped Sun Zhongjing from treating the Emperor altogether.

Because this man's medical skills… were beyond terrifying.

If he entered the Emperor's chamber and detoxified him, then years of careful poisoning would have been wasted.

Worse yet, he might uncover the truth.

But now that he was already at the palace doors…

She had no valid excuse to stop him.

Qian Renxue could only pray that the slow acting poison she had used was strong enough…

…and that it wouldn't be so easily cured.
