Katherine's POV
"Noooooooooo!'
I heard Jack scream loudly in the middle of the night. I jumped up from bed, supporting my belly with a hand below it as I made my way out of the room to Jack's.
His room was unlocked and I slipped in, grateful I wouldn't have to stand outside and pray for him to let me in.
My heart broke at the sight of him as I got closer.
He sat in bed, tears trailing down his cheeks and looked lost. He had his phone in his hand, his fist tightening around it as if he ached to break it. My feet slowed as I kept getting closer, certain that I already knew what the problem was.
"What is it, Jack?" I asked as I sat beside him on his bed, placing a hand lightly on his back.
He startled and stared at me, the question in his heart screaming boldly through his eyes.
I let out a sigh, tired of him putting a guard still.
"You screamed and I came here to check up on you." I said, explaining my presence in his room as he wanted me to.
