Chapter 221 - 221. Miro kahus

Finally, the group of people, led by Physalis Alkekengi, took a long walk in the wilderness of Szelevu. Fortunately, except for Llyr, the undersea-walker ex-foreign minister, the fact that they had to climb a mountain did not cause much trouble to anyone. The hegins had been accustomed to the paths of the mountains since they were young, and they felt at home among the high cliffs.

According to him, Llyr was not the kind of undersea-walker who had never climbed a sea trench in his life. In fact, unlike most of his kind, he led a fairly active lifestyle. However, he was forced to admit that it is much more difficult to climb a mountain on the surface than in the sea. As he put it, the environment here presses you down, while everything under the sea lifts you up.

Despite this, the group finally reached the small, secluded valley, which, according to Physalis Alkekengi, was the closest to the ghosts' war camp. At first, the valley seemed no more than an ordinary valley, the hegins had seen many such in their lives. Llyr was the only one in the group, who stared at everything around him with his mouth open and at whom the hegins chuckled several times as they descended from the mountains.

"Well, here we are. It's better not to make too much noise." Physalis Alkekengi, the danovus lady, stopped in front of a clearing. "Here are those famous miro kahus!" She pointed towards the grassy area. The hegins and their companions all curiously peeked out from the trees to see these strange creatures for themselves.

"And the cows really do fly!" Achilleus opened his mouth and blinked as big as a yurt.

"Did you think I was lying, hegin?" The danovus lady giggled, and the Motumisz boy immediately shook his head.

"I just didn't think they really looked like cows." Achilleus scratched his head, then smiled broadly. "Can we go there to them?" He asked, turning to Physalis Alkekengi with sparkling eyes.

"I'm not your mother! You do what you want. Just be careful, I don't feel like saving you from a kahu attack." The only female member of the group rolled her eyes as she folded her arms in front of her.

Of course, the hegins didn't need more than that. One after the other, they stepped out into the clearing and, careful not to disturb the miro kahus grazing on the flowers, they all began to take a closer look at the little creatures. The miro kahus were indeed tiny floating cows, as Physalis Alkekengi had said. The largest ones were barely the size of the boys' palms. They had small wings and, not caring at all about people, they flew from one flower to another.

"Come here! Hey! Heeeeeey! Why are they running away from me?" Etele whined, who started running around the clearing with his arms outstretched in front of him, but the miro kahus kept running away from him.

"Maybe it's because you're giving them a heart attack." Razvan suggested, who, content with looking at the little creatures, sat down among a small group of bluish flowers.

"Or maybe they just have taste!" Rahul chuckled, raising one hand to his mouth, who had also sat down on the ground and was leaning on his arms to watch the creatures flying here and there. At his words, Etele immediately appeared before him with folded hands in supplication.

"Rahul, Rahul, Rahul. Try to catch one for me! Please!" He stretched out the last word, like a small child trying to convince his mother to have another cookie after dinner.

"Okay, I'll try. Just stop whining." Rahul rolled his eyes as he pushed himself up from the ground and reached for the nearest miro kahu, but the little flying cow immediately escaped from his hands. So Rahul also started chasing the miro kahus. However, unlike Etele, he gave up after three laps. "This is not working, they are too fast." The hegin who grew up in the west shook his head.

"I don't know what's wrong. They like me." Citar giggled, surrounded by miro kahus like butterflies in a flowery meadow.

"How do you do it?" Etele narrowed his ghost eyes, and the Bolacsuk boy just shrugged.

"I don't know. They just like me, that's all." He noted.

"Ah, it must be because he's a soul creature summoner." Benkó spoke up, who at that moment caught a larger miro kahu. "I got one!" He chuckled.

"What are you laughing at, peeing boy?" Achilleus asked.

"It tickles when they lick your palm." The Bokló boy laughed and let go of the miro kahu, which immediately flew further. "Ah, that's all about my kahu." The boy sighed, then shrugged. "Whatever. I'm not running after another one." He left it at that and instead lay down on the ground.

"The way I see it, you don't even need to be a soul creature summoner." Achilleus laughed as he sat down next to his friend. "Look!" He pointed at the boy's leg. Indeed, a tiny miro kahu had come to rest on the toe of Benkó's boot.

"I don't dare move now." The boy announced.

"Maybe that's what it takes to get one close to you." Teveli wondered as he held his hand by his side and tried to be as still as possible.

"Well, Tev I don't think the two have much to do with each other. Citar doesn't even stop and they're still swarming around him." Suk grimaced, who was sitting on a protruding rock, with Ajtony next to him.

"Don't even try." Kamu looked at the two Zovárds as they took a seat at the base of the rock.

"What?" Ajtony asked innocently.

"Don't grin like that! You're Zovárds. I know you were thinking about how you could take a few with you to experiment." Kamu closed his eyes as he leaned against the rock. "Oh, this reminds me of the good old days." He smiled.

"Just don't fall asleep like you did then." Etele rolled his ghostly eyes. "Hey! How come they even go close to the danovus?" The Koál ghodt was startled when he saw that the miro kahu were even circling around Physalis Alkekengi and Tele Tete.

"I tell you they have taste." Rahul laughed.

"Then why aren't they around you?" Etele asked with his head tilted to the side and his arms folded in front of him.

"Because Citar attracts them." The hegin who grew up in the west nudged at his friend, who was surrounded by more and more miro kahus. However, the Bolacsuk boy didn't seem bothered by the situation. On the contrary, he seemed to enjoy having every tiny flying cow near him.

"He won't give us a chance! Oh, how unfair." The ghost put his hand over his no longer beating heart as he collapsed to the ground.

"Don't kid yourself Svihák, the world doesn't stop just because the miro kahu don't like you." Razvan chuckled.

"I don't understand how this is possible, when I'm adorable." Etele folded his arms in front of him again.

"Yeah, of course." Rahul and Razvan rolled their eyes at the same time.
