Chapter 239: The Earth Core Body Tempering Milk Within the Valley
The valley was eerily silent. If not for the sound of their footsteps, it would have felt like a lifeless abyss. The unsettling stillness sent shivers down their spines.
Aside from the Snow Demon Heavenly Ape, no other creatures existed here, making it a place of absolute safety. Yet, as they walked, the silence remained unbroken no whispers of wind, no distant echoes only the faint crackling of bones underfoot.
Under the glow of the firelight, exposed skeletal remains littered the ground, painting a grim scene that sent chills through them.
One misstep, and the sound of crunching bones echoed sharply through the valley.
As Wu Tian walked, he couldn't help but be reminded of that cave deep in the Magical Beast Mountain Range back in the Jia Ma Empire.
That moment… it was impossible to forget.
The memories were seared into his mind.
Even Yun Yun herself would undoubtedly recall it in the dead of night.
Continuing forward, after about ten minutes, they arrived at the end of the valley, where a pitch black cave loomed before them.
A faint beastly scent drifted from within, reminiscent of the Snow Demon Heavenly Ape, confirming their destination the Earth Core Body Tempering Milk was here.
A stream of blue white fire shot from Wu Tian's hand, taking the form of a flame serpent that slithered into the darkness.
With Wu Tian leading the way, the others followed like AI controlled NPCs, tightly trailing behind him.
The cave was vast unsurprising, considering it had housed the Snow Demon Heavenly Ape.
The ceiling stretched over ten meters high, and jagged rocks lay scattered across the floor.
White fur was everywhere.
They moved deeper inside, eventually coming to a stop before a rock wall, brows furrowed.
Wu Tian glanced at the ground, where countless white hairs were scattered, and let out a faint chuckle.
With a wave of his hand, a dark vortex appeared before him.
Without hesitation, he pulled Han Yue into it and vanished.
The remaining three hesitated only briefly before following suit.
Lin Xiuya was already exhausted.
How much farther did they have to go?
Though his cultivation technique allowed him to recover some stamina and Dou Qi, his body was still drained.
And being carried by two burly men? That was just humiliating.
It wasn't just being carried it was how he was being carried.
Yan Hao, with his hulking frame, and Liu Qing, with his broad shouldered physique, made Lin Xiuya, normally a strikingly handsome young man, look utterly out of place.
His feet dangled in midair, his arms draped over their shoulders like a helpless chick.
Had there been more people watching, they would have burst into laughter at the sight.
Was this truly the second ranked powerhouse of the Strongest Ranking?
Thankfully, Lin Xiuya wasn't as tall as them. Otherwise, landing first while being carried like this would have been even more embarrassing.
Meanwhile, Liu Qing and Yan Hao were having their own struggles.
If not for the Earth Core Body Tempering Milk, there was no way they'd be playing third wheel like this.
Ahead, Wu Tian had a beauty in his arms, enjoying the moment.
And them?
They were stuck holding onto a guy.
The difference…
Too damn tragic.
It was as if fate had decided to give them the exact opposite of what they wanted.
They wanted to move faster, but the tunnel only stretched longer.
The underground passage was winding and vast.
Even after walking for over ten minutes, they had yet to reach the end.
But they could feel it.
They were descending deeper underground.
Another ten minutes passed.
Finally, a faint white light appeared in the distance.
Their spirits lifted, and they quickened their pace.
The white dot gradually expanded until, at last, they stood before a glowing cave entrance.
Stepping forward, their eyes widened in awe.
An endless field of milky white stalactites stretched before them.
The soft glow that radiated from within drove away the surrounding darkness.
The cavern ceiling was adorned with countless hanging stalactites, some stretching over a hundred meters long.
It was like stepping into a sacred, untouched realm.
Drip
Droplets of milky white liquid fell, splashing onto the ground in shimmering bursts of light.
"This… is incredible!"
The group couldn't help but voice their amazement.
For Han Yue, this place was breathtakingly beautiful.
To find something so romantic in the midst of an adventure who could resist?
The peaceful atmosphere filled her with warmth.
Meanwhile, the three men trailing behind them had been thoroughly third wheeled.
They exchanged looks, each seeing the suffering in the other's eyes.
Liu Qing, his patience wearing thin, finally asked, "Where's the Earth Core Body Tempering Milk? There are so many stalactites how are we supposed to find it?"
Yan Hao was equally clueless.
Expecting him to locate something like that was like asking a blind man to read a map.
He hadn't even heard of the Earth Core Body Tempering Milk before Han Yue explained it to him.
Lin Xiuya, however, remained composed.
"The most concentrated source of earth energy that's where it will be."
Clearly, he had done his research.
Even if he hadn't known much about it before, he had studied up on the subject beforehand.
Wu Tian glanced at him approvingly.
Knowing one's opponent and oneself ensured victory in every battle.
Lin Xiuya's meticulous nature was part of what made him a top contender at Jia Nan Academy.
If not for certain cheats existing in this world, he might have been unrivaled.
"But where exactly is the most concentrated spot?" Yan Hao asked.
Lin Xiuya's lips twitched.
How the hell should I know?
Studying something in theory was one thing applying it was another.
Detecting earth energy?
They were just Dou Lings how could they possibly sense something that refined?
Feeling awkward, Lin Xiuya forced a dry laugh.
"Uh… it should be… somewhere around here…"
"Just follow me."
Wu Tian's calm voice cut through the tension.
Relieved, Lin Xiuya made a mental note Would it really be so bad if I just acknowledged this guy as my leader?
They continued weaving through the stalactite formations, moving for another ten minutes before finally arriving at a colossal stalactite.
It connected from the cavern ceiling to the ground, spanning over a hundred meters in length.
Beneath it lay an enormous blue stone, half buried in the earth.
And at the very top of the stone was a small indentation, barely half a foot deep.
Directly above it, the tip of the massive stalactite hovered perfectly in place.
Within the indentation, a shallow pool of milky white liquid swirled.
A faint white mist hovered above it, never dispersing.
They inhaled deeply, and instantly, a soothing warmth spread through their bodies.
Their bones tingled.
Their entire being felt rejuvenated.
This scent…
This sight…
Their eyes locked onto the precious liquid.
Wu Tian's throat moved as he swallowed.
Finally.
The Earth Core Body Tempering Milk.
After all the effort, they had found it.
If not for wanting to taste this treasure, would he have wasted all this time walking?
No way.
And now, after just a single sniff…
He felt an indescribable sense of refreshment.
How would it feel to take a sip?
…No.
Even if there wasn't enough…
He was going to take a sip.
No one could stop him.
Because Wu Tian had already decided
