Grey only sneered inwardly but didn't act.
This king's messenger was only trying to flaunt his power by abusing the poor woman.
Abusing power wasn't a great thing.
And this mature woman could only silently endure it all but still stood firmly against the door which showed her will power.
As these thoughts swirled in his mind, Grey couldn't help but sigh internally.
"Show the way."
"Okay." The tuxedoed man nodded quickly, already nervous and eager to escape the pressure. He immediately began guiding Grey.
Grey turned to the mature woman and spoke gently, trying to console her.
"Don't be scared. No one will hurt you. Go wait in the library."
The woman nodded slowly, her voice trembling. "I…"
"You don't have to worry about anything," Grey interrupted softly. "Just stay calm and collected, okay? We'll talk about everything when I return."
This woman had stood guard outside his library for several days. Speaking coldly to her now would only be cruel.
