Chapter 288 - Chapter 289: Father Once Said My Evolution Is Faster Than Light

"Rejoice!"

"The great Son of the Titan, His Royal Highness Lothar, the revered Lord of the Chitauri Star!"

"Unparalleled wisdom has prevailed, and eternal grace continues!"

"At this moment, no one can impede His Royal Highness Lothar's resurrection!"

Woz, the robotic cat with a gray scarf tied around its neck, stood not far from Lothar, holding a copy of "Complete Collection of Celebration Lines" with an air of exuberance and an impassioned tone.

It had succeeded, it had succeeded, it had successfully resurrected Lothar! It had not failed Lothar's trust!

Woz's celebratory chant grew more and more excited, while Mera, who had been treated as a pawn by Woz since the plan's inception, still didn't know what role she truly played in this so-called plan. She was still immersed in the joy of Lothar's return.

"You... how did you resurrect, Lothar? Barry hasn't yet..."

Mera, who had readily given her hand to Lothar, had an uncontrollable, radiant smile in her eyes.

"Actually, Woz had two plans." Fearing a mismatch, Woz quickly ended its recitation and zipped over to Lothar's side. "I put Barry Allen through three days of special training. After simulating the Speed Force's energy fluctuations through special means, I used extraterrestrial materials from the Kryptonian spaceship to create two igniters."

"Once those two igniters collide at the edge of a Mother Box, they can instantly simulate the Speed Force's energy fluctuations, drawing out electricity to activate the Mother Box and revive His Royal Highness Lothar."

In this plan, Diana, Arthur Curry, Barry Allen, and even Mera were merely pawns Woz used to draw fire. The so-called manipulation of the Kryptonian spaceship was simply because Woz needed Kryptonian technology and materials. It didn't trust Mera; in this universe, it wouldn't trust anyone other than Lothar. For a matter as grave as resurrecting Lothar, it had to do it itself. And the current reality showed that it had succeeded.

Although this success seemed a little too easy, that terrifying Lord of Apokolips, Darkseid, showed no intention of intervening, simply watching Lothar die and return to life in plain sight. But Woz clearly didn't care about Darkseid's thoughts. It only wanted to resurrect Lothar.

Of course, it couldn't tell Mera all this. A simple "Plan B" was enough to explain everything. Is it not normal for a dignified artificial intelligence to have a Plan B? Woz felt utterly justified.

"Though it's a bit later than I expected, you did well." Lothar, pulling Mera up from the ground, glanced at the earnest Woz.

Woz's smile grew even warmer and purer from the praise.

"Ahem, um, as much as I hate to interrupt, but... we seem to still have an enemy." Barry Allen, ignored and lying on the ground, slowly got up, leaning on the rubble, and pointed at Clark. The latter was currently watching Lothar with keen interest, feet hovering in the air, his cape billowing behind him.

"Uh, at least for now, he really is our enemy." Barry Allen added after thinking it over and feeling it inappropriate to leave it at that.

"No, he isn't."

"He's just a corpse, nothing more."

Lothar turned, his flamboyant demeanor causing Clark to frown. He remembered this man, the one he had fought to a standstill before, the one who was his equal. However, that was just before. What Darkseid had done these past three days had given Clark's power a terrifying boost. Furthermore, he had also been resurrected by Darkseid using the Mother Box's power. Combining the two, Clark was confident that even with Lothar resurrected, he would be no match.

"Lothar, is that your name? It's quite peculiar." Dangerous red glints instantly appeared in Clark's gray eyes. He sneered, focusing his full attention on Lothar who was not far in front of him. The chiseled muscles on his exposed chest were clearly defined; only the two holes near his heart indicated the severity of Lothar's previous injuries.

"Your name isn't much better, Clark."

Lothar narrowed his eyes, retorting. When it came to verbal sparring and trash talk, Lothar had never lost in his life. If you dared to challenge him, he'd back it up with actions. It was just a fight, who was afraid of whom?

The terrifying energy from the Mother Box continued to swell within Lothar. The next second, these two individuals, arguably the strongest men on Earth, clashed.

Bang!

"Move."

Fists met fists, stirring golden and inky black hair. Lothar narrowed his eyes, feeling a slight surprise.

He's gotten stronger.

This thought simultaneously appeared in both their minds.

"Interesting."

Lothar shook his hand, his emerald eyes burning with fierce battle intent. Unending energy continued to stimulate the Saiyan cells within him.

"I didn't have much fun fighting those others earlier."

"Can you handle it?"

Although phrased as a question, the sinister smirk in Clark's eyes turned the meaning of the sentence into an established fact.

"Those who stand in my way, their fates are miserable." Lothar raised his right hand towards Clark, fingers spread open. The energy converging in his palm was so dense it caused the very sky to change color!

BOOM!!!

The Saiyan energy wave instantly met the Kryptonian energy wave surging from Clark's palm. The overflowing ripples alone were enough to devastate all of Gotham!!!

"What?"

"Your moves, I've already seen through them." Clark clasped his hands together, and the two Kryptonian energy waves merged into one, blasting directly towards Lothar.

The existence of his super-brain meant that if Clark wanted to fight seriously, there was no move in this world he couldn't learn!

All of Thanos's lifelong knowledge, including moves like the "Titan Uppercut" and "Titan Meteor Drop," were perfectly replicated by Clark, even flawlessly integrated into his own Kryptonian combat techniques. He was truly learning by analogy.

"You're no match for me."

Bang!!!

The two bodies collided violently. Both landed a punch on the other's face before separating, each adjusting their slightly erratic breathing. The brief adjustment was only for a better combat experience; Clark's face showed unrestrained excitement. Lothar was no different.

"Die!!!"

Every cell in Clark's body trembled with excitement. As if addicted to the game, he unleashed two Kryptonian shockwaves in an extremely Lothar-like manner!

?!!!

Everyone present, except for Lothar, was dumbfounded. That world-destroying energy impact, even its lingering ripples, was enough to level the entire uneven Gotham!

"LOTHAR!!!!"

"Wishful thinking!"

Mera's concern was cut short by Lothar's dismissive tone. The Mother Box's power barely managed to sate the Saiyan cells within Lothar. The crimson-gold aura in Mera's eyes appeared even more arrogant. The abundant energy from a single Mother Box allowed Lothar to once again reach the new realm he had previously only achieved with the aid of the Mind Stone. His hair instantly grew to his waist, bringing with it a terrifying, heart-stopping oppressive force.

RUMBLE!!!!

The two clashed, and a blinding light, like a giant hand, parted the gloomy storm clouds, bathing the shattered earth in a golden hue.

"What?"

"Father once said..." The stirring dust and smoke dissipated. Lothar, completely unharmed, slowly raised his right hand, pointing his index finger towards the torn, golden sky.

"My evolution is faster than light."

The dappled light of the sun fell upon Lothar's body. His hair, reaching his waist, his expression stern, his golden hair shone with a myriad of lights under the scorching sun!

"Rejoice!"

"The great Son of the Titan! His Royal Highness Lothar, the revered Lord of the Chitauri Star!"

"At this moment, he has transcended the limits of power!"

"Every step he takes now is writing an epic named glory!"
