"Diana, you must understand that in your current physical condition, you'd be no match for those two."
"You are a god, but you are only a demigoddess."
"If you go up now, there will only be failure."
Seeing that Diana truly intended to draw her sword and join the battle, Bruce Wayne immediately spoke up to stop her. For Diana, in her current state, to forcibly intervene in the battle between Clark and Lothar would have one, and only one, consequence: utter annihilation.
This wasn't Bruce Wayne exaggerating; it was a highly probable reality.
In fact, whether it was Superman resurrected by the Mother Box or the mysterious Titan descendant Lothar, the power they were currently displaying far exceeded his imagination. He needed to be responsible for this, but certainly not in such an irresponsible way.
"So?"
"Just watch, and do nothing?"
"I can't do that, Bruce."
Diana stopped. The intense sonic booms continued to reverberate. She turned, her gaze placid.
"I'll find a way, trust me." Bruce Wayne's voice sounded hoarse.
Diana stepped into the ruins without looking back. A biting cold wind swept across her eyes, lifting the soft ends of her hair. She appeared aloof. She had stood by for nearly a century; she was unwilling to stand by any longer.
"You know, Bruce..."
"What you told me earlier was quite right. I really should step out, step out and do what I'm supposed to do."
Divine power from Mount Olympus erupted, and Diana, with newfound resolve, instantly vanished from their sight!
"Lois Lane hasn't arrived yet, Alfred?" Bruce Wayne was silent for a moment, then asked without turning his head, a rare hint of impatience in his voice.
"I've already contacted her; she said she's still en route."
Alfred, standing behind Bruce Wayne, glanced at his watch. He had called Lois Lane twenty minutes ago to confirm her status.
Superman's official girlfriend was Bruce Wayne's pre-planned Plan B, intended to prevent Superman from going berserk after resurrection. Their bond was very deep.
However, a new problem had arisen. Who would make Lothar stop?
The resurrected Superman had collided with Lothar in mid-air—this was outside Bruce Wayne's plan. He couldn't find a Hela, the Goddess of Death, to mediate. He might not even find her corpse. Ragnarok had directly destroyed the entire Norse mythological pantheon of gods.
Thud!
A figure landed in the empty plaza, interrupting Bruce Wayne's thoughts. Following the sound, he saw Diana, breathing heavily, collapsed in the ruins.
"Victor, put on the Anti-Titan Suit, now."
Bruce Wayne pressed a button on his wrist, and the Anti-Superman Suit he had previously used once again responded to his summons, donning itself onto him. This was a quick-change feature he had added after the battle with Doomsday, saving a lot of time.
Bruce Wayne ultimately chose his most familiar Anti-Superman Suit, while the cyborg Victor Stone, with his astonishing learning ability, put on the prototype Anti-Titan Suit. The heavy armor covered his entire body, and various complex fusion material parameters instantly appeared before Victor Stone, astonishing him.
"Incredible, how did you think of this?"
"With my brain."
Thud!
Wearing the heavy Anti-Superman Suit, Bruce Wayne landed effortlessly in front of Diana.
"Alfred, initiate emergency treatment for our Olympian demigoddess."
"Barry, Victor, prepare for battle."
"We must contain them both within Metropolis until Lois Lane arrives."
Finally receiving the equipment from Alfred, Bruce Wayne looked up, his Kryptonite weapons itching for action.
"Understood!"
A somewhat nervous Barry Allen twisted his body, secretly psyching himself up. This was his first official battle since discovering his powers; his earlier encounter with Steppenwolf didn't count.
"Prepare, now—"
Whoosh!!!!
Before Bruce Wayne could finish speaking, heat vision from thousands of feet above instantly pierced through his body!
"???!!!"
"Master Bruce?!!!"
"Bruce?!!"
This sudden turn of events shocked everyone. Bruce Wayne, having just put on the Anti-Superman Suit, was defeated by Superman's heat vision before he could even demonstrate his capabilities...
Clang!
The heavy metal armor clanged to the ground.
Bruce Wayne, for the first time since becoming Batman, widened his eyes, filled with disbelief.
Fatal dizziness, accompanied by blood loss, washed over him.
The apocalyptic scene before Bruce Wayne's eyes began to blur. His shaky legs stumbled, struggling to maintain balance. His arms, completely devoid of feeling, twisted into an unimaginable angle under the force.
Thud!
Due to his distraction with the Kryptonite, Clark was caught off guard by Lothar. A tempest of attacks instantly knocked him to the edge of the ruins, not far from Bruce Wayne.
"Curtain call."
Invisible energy rapidly gathered in Lothar's hands. A silvery-white pillar of light blasted forth without any warning, aimed directly at Clark, who had been knocked to the ground.
Conventionally, an energy wave powerful enough to pierce the Earth's core would have been unleashed, but under Lothar's control, its might was slightly reduced. After all, this planet couldn't be destroyed before he used the Mother Boxes to open a cosmic portal.
"No!"
Victor Stone, wearing the Anti-Titan Suit, subconsciously raised his arm. A fleeting killing intent caught Lothar's attention.
Rumble rumble rumble!!!!!
Countless specialized missiles bombarded Lothar in the sky, attempting to make him halt his energy attack. In fact, he succeeded. The terrifying energy might vanished without a trace the moment the missiles launched. However, Victor Stone paid a heavy price for it.
The Anti-Titan Suit, painstakingly built by Bruce Wayne, was like paper-thin toy in front of Lothar, tearing apart with a single rip!
"It was you?"
Lothar's and Clark's questions rang out almost simultaneously.
A frail Bruce Wayne's face was pale. He tried to move his lips, but couldn't utter a complete sentence.
A terrified Victor Stone panicked, his mechanical body sprouting limbs, but Lothar systematically broke each one.
"No! Lothar! Clark!"
Rip!
Victor Stone's mechanical body was instantly torn in half, shattered circuit parts scattering everywhere!
Crack!
Bruce Wayne, whose throat was seized, completely lost his life under Superman's immense strength...
Thud...
As if disposing of trash, Lothar and Clark exchanged glances, then casually tossed the two obstructive figures aside.
"Now..."
Lothar walked step by step towards Clark, his entire body surging with energy.
"Continue." Clark responded coldly, his muscles bulging!
