Chapter 275 - Chapter 276: The Shattered Metropolis

"Your Highness Lothar, Woz recommends you use Kryptonite to defeat Superman Clark Kent."

The diligent Woz continued to advise Lothar in his ear.

Kryptonite was the only weakness of Clark Kent, the Kryptonian.

According to the data Woz had reviewed, many of Superman's enemies exploited this weakness. Of course, the only person on this planet who had truly mastered using Kryptonite, turning it into an art form, was Bruce Wayne.

And the Kryptonite combat plan Woz proposed was precisely evolved from Bruce Wayne's "Superman Containment Plan." It was a Saiyan version highly suitable for Lothar's use.

If time permitted, Woz could even forge an armor out of Kryptonite.

With Lothar's strength, wearing that Kryptonite armor would render Superman Clark utterly defenseless.

As for where to find so much Kryptonite... Bruce Wayne didn't have it, but another man named Lex Luthor did.

Woz had tracked it down clearly.

This was precisely why it didn't quite understand why Superman Clark hadn't previously used his heat vision from eight hundred miles away to blast these two audacious humans. With the abilities Clark was currently displaying, he could certainly have done so.

"I don't need it."

Lothar rose from the skyscraper's ruins, shaking off debris, and cracked his knuckles as he once again charged towards Clark, who also flew out of the ruins to meet him.

Kryptonite? What was that? What would he do with it? Could he eat it?

Lothar landed a punch on Clark's right cheek. At the same time, his chest received Clark's retaliatory blow. The clash of flesh was always life's most primal desire, no matter the method of collision.

The hostility emanating from Clark grew denser with time. The frenzied battle caused certain factors within him to suppress his lingering confusion, and his chaotic mind gradually became dominated by intense killing intent. Under the scorching sun, Clark's power continued to surge!

"Hraaaahhhhh!!!"

An extremely rare roar erupted from Clark.

The Kryptonian, gradually entering a berserk state, finally began to gain the upper hand in this fight. In simple terms: 'going dark' made him three times stronger. His sharply defined muscles gleamed with a chilling light under the sun.

His surging speed was so great that even Lothar was momentarily unable to react and was caught off guard.

Thud!

The speeding Superman crashed into him, his hands firmly locking around Lothar's waist. In an exceptionally forceful embrace, he dragged Lothar across Metropolis's already shattered asphalt, leaving a bottomless gouge!

"You bastard!!!"

Lothar's roar instantly reverberated through the skies of Metropolis. A silvery-white energy pillar instantly spanned between sky and earth! Under the tumultuous energy, buildings were destroyed, and lives were lost!

Zzzzt!!!

Clark, narrowly dodging the attack, fired two berserk heat vision blasts at Lothar beneath the ground!

Whoosh whoosh whoosh whoosh!!!!!!

Countless energy blasts surged towards the direction Lothar's finger pointed, their dense numbers weaving a net that engulfed and blasted the entire Metropolis into a cloud of dust!

An incomparably arrogant golden aura mixed with blue lightning landed on Clark's chest. The clash of fist on fist once again produced a metallic clang!

Thud!

A dull collision, a fierce confrontation!

Lothar, in his Super Saiyan 2 form, realized that the man opposite him seemed to have a tendency for his power to surge even further?!

"You can't beat me."

"And I can kill you!"

Killing intent solidified on Clark's square face, twisted by hostility. The Kryptonian, facing a powerful foe, decided to activate a cheat in accordance with his body's instincts. And his cheat was precisely from the blazing sun high in the sky!

"Many people have said they would kill me, but in the end, they all died by my hand."

"Except for a woman named Hela; she died by her father's hand."

Lothar wiped away the blood from the corner of his mouth. The next second, a sonic boom erupted again!

Fists, palms, elbows, knees, legs. Even shoulders and head. Every part of their bodies became weapons in the battle between Lothar and Clark. The attacks, descending like a tempest, left behind textbook-worthy combat exchanges for the entire world to witness.

Kryptonian fusion martial arts, inherited from their ancestors, and Titan martial arts from the Black Quadrant were broadcast live before countless cameras!

If one disregarded the continuously collapsing buildings, it was indeed a feast for all martial arts enthusiasts.

The Kryptonian's steel body gradually fractured, and Saiyan blood continuously dripped.

The ravaged Metropolis finally let out one last, unbearable groan, then crumbled into pieces!

As far as the eye could see, there was only desolation.

The once prosperous city was reduced to ruins in the blink of an eye.

The changed Superman and the unknown Lothar, the resurrected Kryptonian and the passing Saiyan—a battle with a comical origin, yet it cast a shadow over the hearts of all humanity.

"You!"

"Aren't you superheroes?! Huh?!"

A soulless man, having lost his wife and children, frantically stumbled to the edge of the empty plaza. He saw Bruce Wayne in his iconic Batman attire. The man, fearless after losing everything, approached them, tears still wet on his face. He grabbed Batman's shoulders, shaking him, roaring, questioning.

Despair, repression, anger, sorrow. Different emotions intertwined, causing the man's eyes to stream tears like a broken dam: "Why... why..."

From anger to sobbing, the man's helpless descent to his knees utterly shattered Bruce Wayne's last shred of pride.

"Master Bruce, the Anti-Superman Suit and the Anti-Titan Suit, which one do you need first?"

Alfred, arriving late with two suits from Gotham, was accompanied by Diana.

"Uh, Diana, I think I can exp—" Barry Allen tried to explain, but Diana pushed him away.

Slap!

A crisp slap landed on Bruce Wayne's face. Diana's furious expression silenced even Victor Stone. In that instant, he seemed to witness the true majesty of a god.

"I told you, Bruce, I disagreed with your decision."

"Now, this is the consequence of your decision."

"Your decision."

Diana's face was cold. She turned, drew the longsword from her back, and walked towards the fighting gods in the distance. Theoretically, she was also a god. Though only a demigoddess.

"Diana!"

"Come with me, Barry, and our new friend."

"We have to stop this fight."

Divine power from Mount Olympus surged within Diana. Despite her still-healing body, a sickly flush spread across her face.

"No, we tried—"

"I said so!"

Diana turned sideways. Her undeniable authority made Barry Allen open his mouth, unable to say anything further.

"Follow me, now."
