Chapter 242 - Chapter 243: Kryptonians are Dead, Chaos Shall Reign

"Don't push it. In your current condition, you probably can't even leave this room."

Mera refused without hesitation, forcefully pushing the weakened Lothar back onto the medical bed. The water, effortlessly controlled, flowed at her command. Mera's abilities were unlike anything Lothar had ever witnessed.

"Your Highness Lothar, this lady is not lying. Your current physical state requires at least thirty minutes of rest for the nutrient solution to repair most of your internal injuries."

"Right, I'm no—what?" Mera, who was about to agree with Woz, instantly changed her tune upon hearing "thirty minutes."

"Alright, I forgot, you're from another universe." As the princess of the underwater kingdom of Xebel, Mera naturally understood the concept of the multiverse.

Simply put, it was best to treat them as aliens.

On the surface, didn't the human world have an invincible, peerless Kryptonian? Although that Kryptonian had recently died. Thoroughly dead, his body in a coffin, even buried under dirt. It seemed he wouldn't be getting up this lifetime.

Ding ding ding, clang clang clang...

Mera's thoughts were drifting when she was suddenly jolted back to attention by the sounds Woz was making.

Under Woz's control, eight mechanical arms danced wildly. A pile of objects retrieved from his abdominal pouch gradually formed into a nutrient chamber large enough to accommodate Lothar, accompanied by the clamor of metal.

"So, Your Highness Lothar, let's begin. A half-hour of deep treatment." Woz, having brought out two full boxes of nutrient solution, patted the nutrient chamber's door, grinning. His smile was pure and harmless.

"Hey?!"

"You—" Under Mera's gaze, Lothar directly stripped off his combat suit, stepped into the nutrient chamber, closed his eyes, and put on a breathing mask.

Splash!

The prepared nutrient solution was immediately poured into the chamber by Woz. Lothar, covered in scars and wearing a breathing mask, quickly fell into a deep sleep under the chamber's effects.

"Madam, Woz is very grateful for your help to His Highness Lothar."

"For the next seven days, please try not to let anyone disturb His Highness Lothar, to avoid affecting the deep treatment's efficacy." The round Woz bowed to Mera.

Woz, new to this place, was very sensible. He was now very glad that Lothar, after landing in this world, was found by such a kind-hearted woman. If he had encountered someone deeply suspicious, the result would probably have been Lothar being sent straight to a laboratory.

"Alright, of course. In exchange, you must tell me about yourselves."

"I have to be responsible for my nation." After all, Lothar was currently within Xebel's territory.

...

"Lothar, Mom loves you."

"Lothar, stand up, let me see your training results."

"Lothar, please, save me!"

"Lothar..."

Complex images constantly flickered through Lothar's mind. The cacophony of voices made Lothar, in the darkness, instinctively cover his ears. The sticky sensation surprised Lothar. Looking closely, his hands were already stained with crimson blood.

"This is..."

Lothar's pupils constricted sharply. Odin's piercing sound waves resonated again, startling Lothar into abruptly opening his eyes!

CRASH!!!

Green nutrient solution dripped from Lothar's naked body, and the sturdy nutrient chamber instantly shattered into scattered fragments across the floor.

Drip...

Drip...

"What's that sound?"

"What exactly have you been hiding in there, Mera?"

"Father, you—"

When Mera's father, King Nereus of the underwater kingdom of Xebel, disregarded his daughter's warnings and forced his way into the border hut she had frequented these past few days, the gaze he met filled him with dread.

Danger.

Nereus, a veteran of half a lifetime, immediately sensed danger. His entire body's muscles tensed instinctively, yet he couldn't escape the fate of being choked.

Bang!

Nereus, one of the formidable rulers of the seven underwater kingdoms, was as fragile as an infant. He was utterly defenseless under the awakened Lothar's hand.

"Stop it, Lothar!"

"He's my father!"

Mera, whose myriad attempts to stop her father from entering the hut had failed, rushed in.

"Your Highness Lothar, this is King Nereus, Lady Mera's father, and the ruler of Xebel, one of the seven underwater kingdoms."

Woz, appearing out of thin air, pulled a specialized black loose-fitting combat suit from his wristband and offered it to Lothar, answering his unspoken questions.

"Mera?" Lothar tossed Nereus aside like trash, casually flinging him to the feet of the gasping Mera, who quickly reached out to help her father up.

"Mera, that's my name."

Lothar narrowed his eyes, listening to Woz's explanation.

Seven days ago, Mera rescued the heavily injured Lothar. For these seven days, because underwater patrol life was too dull, and unwilling to stay in the palace listening to her father tell stories about her fiancé, King Orm, Mera frequented Lothar's location most diligently.

More accurately, Woz's location. Whether it was stories or gadgets, the dry goods Woz could produce from his belly were clearly much more interesting than the trivialities of Atlantis.

"Seven days?"

Lothar keenly caught the discrepancy in time.

"Your Highness Lothar, Woz tried to wake you, but your injuries were too severe." Woz, with wide, innocent eyes, looked serious.

"Mera, tell me, who is he?"

While Lothar listened to Woz's explanation, Mera, on the other side, was being interrogated by her father and recounted the full story of rescuing Lothar, leaving Nereus speechless with anger for a long time.

Saving someone was fine, but why be so secretive about it? He had worried his daughter was associating with some illegitimate child left behind by the former Queen of Atlantis.

"Go home tonight and reflect properly!"

"Do not leave without my permission during this time!"

"I will temporarily arrange for someone else to take over your duties!"

Nereus, sensing danger from Lothar, immediately planned to confine his daughter. The Kryptonian was dead. Without his suppression, the world was about to plunge into chaos.

Lothar, this dangerous visitor from the multiverse, was, in Nereus's eyes, the best proof. Otherwise, what a coincidence: the Kryptonian dies, and then a highly dangerous multiversal visitor arrives right after?

Nereus wanted no part in this extraterrestrial visitor. God knew who he truly was.

...

Meanwhile, in America, at Gotham Airport.

Bruce Wayne, impeccably dressed in a suit, drove his luxurious supercar to safely drop off his comrade, Diana.

"Actually, you could just take my private jet," Bruce Wayne said, stepping out of the car and taking off his sunglasses, leaning against the frameless car door, once again flaunting his financial prowess.

"No thanks. You're the famous Bruce Wayne. If I boarded your private jet, I imagine my photo would be all over Gotham's streets the next day." Diana, now in casual clothes, smiled goodbye.

"By the way, Bruce, that golden giant ape, have you found anything about it?" Diana asked one last question before leaving. That golden giant ape, which had flashed across the battlefield like a meteor, left a deep impression on Diana.

"Nothing," Bruce Wayne waved his hand. "At least not yet."
