Cracking his bones, clenching his fists tighter. Asta nonchantly walked into the warden's office looking around to find him in front of him, sitting on his desk.
"Who is it huh? I tol- YOU!!"
The warden was taken aback by Asta's entrance, even more by the fact that he was still trying to break the lock on all those Materials Asta had stashed on his bags.
The face when he made after remembering Asta's face was memorable to say the least. Unexpectedly the warden wasn't quite like what Asta imagined.
He wasn't a fat jailer, he was a slim guy with no muscles that looked like a everyday joe with nothing in his pockets. His eyes had black circles underneath then and he looked like he had been getting haunted by someone in his dreams all night.
"How did you get here?! Who let you out?!" The warden begin shrieking as he watched Asta approach from his desk.
On the other hand, Asta had no pity or obligation to the warden to answer all his questions. His eyes instead went to his Grimoire which he called back with a swipe of his fingers.
"I am gonna make myself clear." He said with his gaze piercing the warden, "You have 10 seconds. Either give me a reason to spare you or prepare to get wrecked."
...
The warden felt insulted, his voice rising even higher than before as he pulled his grimoire and a small dagger.
"Who do you think you are? I rule this prison and i don't give a damn who you a-"
"Times up."
Crash... Crack crack.
Goliath found its way to the warden's stomach in a instant, a single swing from the giant sword sent him crashing into wall with the force of boulder rolling down a mountain.
"Cough cough. YOU PEASANT BASTARD !!!"
A purplish light was unleashed from the grimoire and surrounded the warden, it's power slowly begans closing the warden's wounds as his body grew bigger and shinier.
"Repair magic! Iron gargoyle!"
The grotesque sight of the warden's new face repulses Asta. The merging with the gargoyle statue in his own office seemed excessive for Asta to look at.
" What a waste of a good decoration. I would rather not look at you right now."
Asta turned around and walked away with his grimoire, his behaviour screaming sarcasm as he left warden to tiny office and left.
The warden was baffled by the sudden change. There were no words in his vocabulary that could describe the swirl of emotions in heart right now.
Shame, embarrassment, rage and even envy, The warden found himself at the mercy of his emotions as he charged forwards towards the leaving Asta while swinging his hands that have become claws.
Ting
"What's the big idea? Can't you just go hide somewhere what that face?" Asta suggested as he blocked the warden's swing with Goliath using only one hand.
"Beat him sir Asta! "
"Show that noble foot licking bastard the difference in strengths!!"
The two guards who followed Asta cheered for him from the sidelines in awe of his power, but in reality he wasn't even using any strength instead his sword was just tough and it was stuck in the narrow gap of the passage.
In simple words, It was just a punch blocked by a sword stuck in the wall.
Asta's face was calm but inside he was laughing like a maniac from the all the comedy he was witnessing.
The warden continued to strike one after another, his eyes blinded by rage as he didn't notice Asta coming back into the office from the side and looking at him from the back.
'huh? What's that?"
Asta saw the warden's name tag on the desk, "woodland" the tag said but the guy clearly looked more like a desert on his head instead.
"Oi woodland! Put some force in those punches!"
"Stop mocking me you bastard!"
The warden was now mindless and oblivious beyond doubt. He looked like a orc with negative intelligence having a battle with a floor he stub his toe on.
The sound of his fist hitting the sword continued like a blacksmith's shop, a sound that appeared like a lullaby to Asta's ears as he just closed his eyes and began taking a nap while the warden kept pounding the sword with all his strength.
A min went by. Give minutes went by and soon a entire half an hour had went by before the warden finally stopped to find the sword just sticking out the wall like a sore thumb with no sign of Asta in his vision.
Snore x3
Like a primate hearing a rustling bush, Woodland turned around to find Asta just sitting in his chair with drool falling from his mouth.
The sight made him want to punch Asta face but he was already smoked beyond both his stamina and Guts. Even standing felt like hassle as he fell to his knees to take a breath.
"I- huff Will huff kill..." He tried to roar but no voice came out, his magic reserves as dry as a desert as he barely managed to maintain his so called transformation.
Yawn
"Oh! Did i sleep too much?", Asta reaches our for the clock, "33 minutes. I guess that's counts as a nap."
The warden tried to bit his own lip but it was metal. His eyes now a red as they peeked through the metal armour covering his skin.
'This shame.' the warden spoke in his mind. 'I won't forgive this! I won't!'
"Do you desire strength?"
A voice called to the warden. An phantom appeared in his mind, a phantom of a gorgeous women looking at him with pity as she extended her hand.
"Do you wish to become stronger?" She spoke but only the warden heard her words.
Asta saw the warden muttering himself, a gut feeling telling him to finally prepare for some decent action. In his eyes the warden was never a threat, and just now he was given a proper and good reason to get rid of him.
"A demon's call. No wonder this guy had black circles, he was probably spending time with succubus in his dreams."
Goliath creaked for a seconds, a small dent in it bending right back into the correct portion as it flew to Asta's hand in a instant.
"I am gonna enjoy this. *Turns to the half-insane warden* come."
A purged smell swept over the room, the air turning corrosive to normal humans. The warden began shaking like crazy, his muscles bursting into huge bundles of raw untrained muscles of pure madness.
"DIE!!!"
The warden brought his fist crashing down towards Asta, the aftershock following the impact throwing the two snozing guards down the stairs as well.
Meanwhile Asta shrugged of the fist, his stance shifting while shifted hands and cut through the bulging flesh like butter, leaving a clean black mark right at the elbow of the monster the warden had become.
"CURSE YOU PEASANTS!! CURSE YOU TO DEATH!!"
"Can't you found something generic for once? I have heard that line atleast 100 times by now." Asta scoffed. The anti-magic armor popping up on his body as well as the two black devil like wings.
He grabbed the warden by the neck, the muscles corroding back into mana by Anti-magic as only the real neck was grabbed by Asta's hand.
Then like a bird, Asta flapped his wings. Dashing forward straight through the roof as he left the prison with the warden being dragged as a shield in his hands.
He took in the beauty of the rising sun, feeling the fresh breath of the morning before disgusting smell of the demonic mana reached his senses one more.
"Bleh. Disgusting." Asta grimaced and threw the warden back down like a pebble, immediately following up with a sword plunge through his chest.
As little as it was, Asta felt the urge to scream at the top of his lungs as he dealt the finishing blow to the warden. However the mannerisms he got from Jassin's memories forced him to back down.
"I hate this. I can't even scream in peace now." He grumbled before finally pulling out the sword and watched as the warden became a pancake on the ground.
He landed right beside him, slicing his head away without any bit of guilty of having taken a human's life.
'he sold away his humanity." Was the mindset and thought he had right now. He showed no pity for a enemy even if it meant he had to strangle his kind self.
But as the dust began to scatter away and settle down. Asta found himself standing in the middle of a prison's drill ground surrounded by a many different guards on all sides to whom he appeared like a intruder since the warden had already scattered to dust after all the repairing he did to his body by multiplying his cells.
"Sigh Welp. They ain't gonna listen are they?" He said to himself before being bombarded by a shower of magic from every angle of his sight.
