Veran and Raigor advanced through the dark streets of the city of Altaira, where the night seemed to never end. The air was filled with the smell of molten metal and forbidden spells. Here, among hidden alleys and clandestine deals, was Maggor, the vampire merchant.
He was no longer the desperate seller of junk that Raigor had met in the past. Now he was a powerful man, surrounded by guards and servants. But when the two warriors crossed the threshold of his secret forge, the vampire greeted them with an enigmatic smile.
"Raigor, Veran... I didn't think you would remember me so soon."
The Problem of Weapons
Raigor placed his giant blade on the stone table. The silver and diamond blade was cracked, unable to contain his new power.
Veran drew his daggers, blackened by lunar energy and Hydra venom. They had become unstable, unable to channel his strength without risking breaking.
"We need something new." Veran's voice was firm. "Weapons that can withstand our true power."
Maggor nodded, surveying the damage. "I see. These weapons were strong… but now you are beyond what they can handle."
The merchant turned, signaling a demonic blacksmith to bring something. After a few moments, two special ingots were placed before the two warriors:
The Dragon Heartstone – An ore made from the crystallized heart of an ancient dragon, capable of withstanding the flames of hell and the light of heaven.
The Twilight Steel – A metal made from the solid blood of a fallen titan, perfect for channeling lunar and dark power.
"With these materials," Maggor said, "I can forge weapons worthy of what you have become. But the price will be high."
The Price to Pay
Raigor crossed his arms. "How much do you want?"
Maggor smiled. "Not gold. I want something more precious."
Veran narrowed his eyes. "Speak."
"An oath." The vampire stepped closer. "When the day comes that my kingdom is threatened, you two will come to my aid. No questions asked. No hesitation."
Silence.
Raigor looked at Veran, then back at Maggor. Such an oath was not to be taken lightly.
But their weapons were useless. If they were to take down the greater entity, they needed equipment worthy of the battle that lay ahead.
Finally, Raigor held out his hand. "Deal."
Veran sighed, then nodded. "So be it."
The New Weapons
Three days later, Maggor summoned them to his forge.
Before them were their new weapons:
For Raigor: Heavenly Lion's Fury – A colossal sword, forged from Twilight Steel and Dragon Heart. The metal pulsed with living energy, matching his aura. Each strike would shake the very earth.
For Veran: Moonfangs – Two thin, deadly daggers, made of the same material, but able to change shape depending on his fighting style. Perfect for channeling his powers of poison and moonlight.
When they took up the weapons, they immediately felt the difference. The blades vibrated with their power, ready for battle.
"I hope you are satisfied," Maggor said with a grin. "For your fate is now tied to mine."
But the two warriors did not turn. They already had a greater goal in mind.
It was time to prepare for the final battle.
