Lucas and Vance remained silent as they watched Ryker while Stinton and Alice sat frozen in their spots, not knowing what to do. Ryker hadn't given them any face. He had walked away blatantly, showing them how much he loathed their presence.
"I guess I deserved that," Stinton said with a wry smile, and Lucas frowned, finding the situation utterly confusing.
'What the hell's happening? What happened between Ryker and the father and daughter?' he wondered, glancing at Vance, who at that moment looked like he wanted to kill someone.
"We'll go somewhere else." Stinton stood up to leave, and Alice followed suit.
"It's fine, Stinton. Since you're already here, let's have breakfast together," Vance said, concealing his annoyance as much as possible. But everyone caught on to it immediately.
"But..."
"Give him some time to blow his steam off. He'll come around eventually."
