-------------------------------------------------

The mask drops away in a ripple of red cubes —

No longer the borrowed face of a thug,

Since the time limit one minute for shape shifting skill of Raven template is over.

But the angular, inhuman profile of Ra-One.

The corridor flickers in the suit's HUD: red outlines, threat markers, the soft hum of Brahmastra energy under the armor's skin.

A low, brittle laugh cracks the darkness.

KUKUKU!

" "

From the shadowed doorway step the three men Rudra saw in the back room —

The shop owner with the skull tattoo and the easy smile,

The sallow old man with the cigar ember glowing like a poisonous eye,

And the lean foreigner who'd listened at their shoulders.

All three fold themselves into silhouettes of menace, guns lifted and flashlights stabbing the gloom.

"Who the hell are you?"

The owner snarls, smoke curling from his lips.

"If you want to leave breathing, drop the act and surrender."

He blows sparks from his mouth like mockery; tiny flames lick at the air.

Rudra's voice comes out low and steady through his throat modulator —

A calm that feels like a blade.

"I am Ra-One,"

He says.

"Now surrender, like a good old man."

The owner's laugh explodes into action.

" "

HAHAHA!

"Do it!"

He barks.

The every firearms bark into life all at once.

The corridor becomes a scatter of muzzle flares and a chorus of shouted orders.

Ra-One didn't move.

Bang~ Bang~ Bang~

Bang~ Bang~

The air filled with gunfire before the echo of the old man's command had even faded.

Muzzles flared, brass casings scattered,

And the underground room shook under the barrage —

But not a single bullet found its mark.

Before Rudra —

Now fully in his Ra-One persona —

A golden barrier of Brahmastra energy shimmered into being,

Its surface rippling like molten glass.

The bullets struck, flattened, and fell harmlessly to the floor.

Behind him, the terrified girls flinched but remained untouched,

The radiant wall shielding them completely.

Smoke drifted in lazy curls through the air as the shooters hesitated.

Then, like a pack of wolves scenting blood,

The rest surged forward —

Men with quirks sparking to life, flames, acid, and shards of ice bursting from palms.

One with molten fists charged first.

Another split into clones.

A third sent steel wires whipping through the air like serpents.

From where he stood,

Ra-One lowered his head slightly —

His mask glinting in the faint red light.

" "

The air hummed.

With a gesture,

Brahmastra energy surged around his arms,

Forming into two golden swords that materialized with a soft, ringing chime.

Each blade pulsed with condensed power,

Their edges leaving a faint trail of light as he moved.

Then he was gone —

A blur of gold and crimson.

He met the molten-fist thug head-on,

Parrying the punch with his sword.

Steam hissed as divine energy met molten metal.

Hiss~

The man screamed when his own heat backfired, searing his arm.

Ra-One pivoted, using the man's momentum to hurl him into the one with the steel wires —

Thud.

" "

" "

Their bodies tangling, powers clashing in a flash of sparks.

A third lunged from behind,

Extending razor-sharp nails,

Swish~

" "

But Rudra twisted aside and slammed the hilt of his sword into the man's ribs,

Thud. Crack~

Cracking them cleanly.

Another swung an iron bar,

Augmented by muscle enhancement —

Rudra caught it mid-swing,

Redirected the force, and sent the attacker flying into his own comrades.

Every motion was efficient —

Brutal, but deliberate.

He wasn't showing off.

He was ending threats.

One man unleashed a wave of compressed air, trying to knock him back.

Ra-One crossed his swords before him,

Channeling the Brahmastra energy outward.

BOOM!!!

The blast reversed direction and hurled its owner into the ceiling,

Leaving a dent before he crashed unconscious.

THUD.

Within seconds,

The thugs began to fall —

One after another —

Their own quirks turned against them.

Ahhhh!

The corrosive user screamed when his acid rebounded off a reflective barrier and ate through his boots.

The one who could create clones was trapped in his own illusion field,

Cut off from reality by a flash of divine light.

As the last of the lesser thugs hit the ground groaning,

Ra-One stood amidst the chaos, swords gleaming faintly.

He flicked one blade, scattering a thin line of blood and ash from its edge.

Through the haze of smoke,

The old man and his two clients stood unfazed —

Still watching from the back of the room.

The old man with the skull tattoo, smirked and lit another cigar.

Puff~

"Hmph. Impressive. But those were just my dogs,"

He said coolly.

Ra-One turned toward them slowly,

The faint hum of his armor deepening.

"Then I suppose it's time,"

He said, his voice deeper, mechanical —

"for the masters to join their pets."

The golden blades flared brighter,

And the crimson glow from his visor reflected in the stunned eyes of the men across from him.

The old man's breath turned to fire.

The moment he inhaled,

The air warped from sheer heat,

The walls blistering under the pressure of his quirk.

Then —

ROAR!

— he exhaled a river of flames so bright it painted the walls molten red,

A living inferno pouring toward Ra-One.

But before it could reach him, the flames bent.

Like invisible hands were pushing them away,

The torrent split —

Curving, spiraling —

Forming a ring of fire that circled Rudra without touching him.

His golden aura shimmered faintly,

Heat waves dancing harmlessly off its surface.

The old man's roar faltered.

His skin, now ashen and cracked like burnt clay, twitched in disbelief.

" "

"H-How…?"

He stammered, stepping back as the flames recoiled.

"My fire melts iron! Nothing survives that!"

Through the heat haze,

Ra-One stood unmoved —

The faint red glow of his visor cutting through the smoke like a predator's eye.

His voice came calm, deep, distorted through the mask.

"Because fire,"

He said,

"bows before me."

The old man froze.

" "

Before the tension could settle,

The Chinese man moved —

Lightning flickering across his arm as he pulled a steel rod from behind his back.

With a roar, he swung it forward, bolts of electricity arcing wildly.

Thunder cracked —

BOOM!

— as the weapon struck the ground where Rudra stood.

Sparks flared everywhere, momentarily blinding everyone.

But when the flash cleared —

Ra-One wasn't there.

He appeared behind the man in the same instant,

His movement marked only by a ripple of red cubes in the air.

His hand shot out, catching the metal rod mid-swing.

The lightning that should've electrocuted him instead traveled harmlessly along his arm,

Absorbed into the red veins coursing through his hero suit.

With a low hum, that same energy reversed the current —

Hum~

And discharged it back into the man's body.

The Chinese man screamed,

" "

Ahhhhhhh!!!

His own lightning surging through his veins,

Lighting him up like a living filament before he collapsed in a smoking heap.

The third man, who had hung back, panicked.

" "

His skin shimmered a sickly green as clouds of poison dust poured from his palms,

Spreading fast across the floor —

Corroding everything it touched.

"Let's see your tricks stop this!"

He shouted.

But Rudra raised his hand.

A pulse of golden energy radiated outward like a silent shockwave.

The poison dust, once deadly, now shimmered —

Its color fading, the particles disintegrating into harmless motes of light that vanished mid-air.

The man stumbled back, his eyes wide.

"That's impossible—!"

Rudra stepped forward, each footstep echoing against the trembling floor.

"Not impossible,"

He said, his voice calm yet final,

"just justice."

Then, with a flicker of light,

He disappeared again —

Reappearing right before the poison user.

Thud.

His punch landed square on the man's chest,

The Brahmastra-enhanced blow sending a ripple through the air like a thunderclap.

The man flew backward —

Slammed into the wall —

CRASH!

And crumpled to the ground, unconscious.

Now only the old man remained, trembling, his fire sputtering into embers.

Ra-One turned to him, visor gleaming red, his voice low.

"You preyed on children."

He lifted his right arm, golden light coiling around it like divine fire.

"You must pay for it."

The old man's voice cracked through the haze, raw with desperation and rage.

"You think fire is all I have!?"

He bellowed, veins glowing molten red beneath his withering skin.

"I AM A VOLCANO!"

He slammed his fist into the ground —

BOOM!

— the concrete split apart as glowing fissures erupted outward.

Instantly, the room was drowned in a choking storm of volcanic ash and smoke,

Heat thick enough to warp the air.

From his body, cracks widened —

Crack~ Crack~

Lava-like light spilling through them —

And then, with a guttural roar,

ROAR!

" "

He fired a barrage of magma bullets,

Molten orbs bursting from the fissures and flying toward Ra-One like miniature comets.

Rudra dashed sideways —

His movements smooth and calculated —

Every molten projectile missing him by inches and exploding into the walls,

Turning them into glowing slag.

The heat scorched the air,

But Ra-One's armor shimmered with layered Brahmastra fields,

Keeping him untouched amid the storm.

Then, as the dust thickened and vision dimmed,

Rudra narrowed his eyes beneath the mask.

"This ends now."

He extended his right hand —

Energy spiraling around his fore finger.

Golden light condensed, spinning faster and faster, forming a chakra-shaped ring,

Radiant yet eerily silent.

Spinning in high velocity.

It pulled the air inward —

First the smoke, then the glowing volcanic ash —

Dragging everything toward its glowing center like a miniature black hole of divine energy.

The sound was deafening —

A deep whump as the suction intensified.

Whump~

The ash storm collapsed in on itself,

The red glow fading, until the vortex shrank into a marble-sized orb that pulsed once —

Then dissipated harmlessly into the air.

The room fell silent.

" "

" "

" "

The old man staggered forward, breathing hard.

Huff~ Huff~

The cracks across his body now glowed a dull orange,

His skin pale and trembling.

When he looked up,

Rudra was already standing between him and the main door —

The one leading toward the crowded streets.

"No further,"

Rudra said, his voice echoing through the metallic mask.

"You don't understand!"

The old man rasped, clutching his chest.

His jaw trembled, the fissures spreading to his mouth where faint lava seeped out like blood.

"If I stop now… I'll die!"

Rudra tilted his head, a faint hum of golden light rising around him.

"Then you've already crossed the line between power and self-destruction."

The old man screamed —

His body glowing from within like a crumbling furnace.

" "

He lurched forward, aiming to burst through the wall toward the civilians outside.

But Ra-One moved first.

He appeared before the old man using his agility.

He thrust his fist forward —

Slamming it into the old man's chest.

Thud.

" "

The golden light exploded outward,

Swallowing the molten glow within the old man.

For a moment, the cracks across his body flared blindingly bright —

Then dimmed.

The magma stilled, solidifying into stone, and the old man's roar faded into a gasp.

" "

Gasp~

When the light faded,

He stood motionless, his body turned to dark, cooled rock —

Frozen mid-step, eyes closed in exhausted surrender.

Rudra slowly lowered his hand, exhaling softly.

The faint glimmer of Brahmastra light faded from his fist.

He glanced back toward the cell,

Where the frightened girls were staring wide-eyed through the bars.

"It's over,"

He said quietly.

"You're safe now."

Meanwhile, at the ice cream shop —

The neon sign still buzzed,

And customers cheerfully enjoyed their desserts, unaware of what was about to happen.

With a sudden creak, a red "No Entry" door swung open from the back.

Creak~

" "

The workers glanced up,

Expecting their boss to return from his sponsor meeting.

But instead, stepping through the doorway came Rudra,

Clad in his Ra-One suit,

Carrying a girl in his arms.

Behind him trailed several other girls,

Exhausted and trembling —

Clear signs of the ordeal they'd endured.

The cheerful chatter in the shop fell silent.

" "

" "

" "

Customers froze mid-bite, staring in shock.

A worker with a wolf-like appearance —

His quirk having mutated his body into a hybrid form —

Snarled and lunged at Rudra,

Sharp claws flashing toward his chest.

Before the strike could land,

Two glowing orbs zipped through the air,

Wrapping around the wolf-man and pinning his arms tightly to his sides.

Rudra turned, surprised,

Only to find Surge Rider standing near the counter —

Still holding an ice cream cone in one hand,

"Didn't think I'd have to capture some one in an ice cream shop,"

she muttered, taking a bite from her cone.

" "

Surge Rider's sharp eyes scanned Rudra from head to toe,

But the mask and suit made it impossible to recognize him.

She walked briskly toward him,

Curiosity sparkling in her gaze.

"So… what's your hero name?"

She asked, tilting her head slightly.

Rudra let out a soft chuckle, the sound rolling low and confident beneath the mask.

Chuckle~

"Ra-One,"

He replied.

The moment the name left his lips,

Surge Rider's eyes widened in realization.

" "

Of course—

She had been there when he'd received his hero license.

She knew the name, and now it all clicked.

Her grin broadened, her energy practically radiating from her.

Grin~

"I didn't know you could… chuckle like that,"

She said, her voice bubbling with amusement and excitement.

Around them,

The murmurs of the public grew louder as they heard his hero name,

Whispers spreading like wildfire.

Rudra gently set the girl down on the ground.

Soon, paramedics and an ambulance arrived to escort her and the other rescued girls to safety.

Surge Rider stayed close, her vibrant energy a mix of relief, excitement, and admiration.

Rudra's system pinged softly in his mind,

[DING...]

[Objective: Dismantle a criminal hub disguised as an ice cream parlor.]

[Details: Target facility involved in abduction and human trafficking. Victims—young girls sold through underworld auctions to high-paying buyers.]

[Mission Requirement: Eliminate core operation, rescue captives.]

[Mission Status: Compleated.]

[Rewards: +150 Hope Points | ×2 Sanjeevini Leaves]

[Rewards being distributed...]

Confirming that the mission had been completed.

The Sanjivenee leaves were securely stored in his inventory.

A small hand tugged at his gloved finger.

" "

Rudra looked down to see a girl, eyes bright with gratitude, whispering,

"Thank you… Ra-One."

The words, so innocent yet filled with awe, made him pause, stunned for a moment.

Around them, the crowd had gone into a frenzy.

Phones were raised, snapping photos and recording videos.

Social media feeds were lighting up in real time with his heroic deeds.

The atmosphere was electric, a mix of shock, admiration, and curiosity.

Surge Rider, hovering slightly above on her glider,

Called out over the murmur,

"Ra-One, you need a ride, or do you have your own?"

Rudra let out a low chuckle and,

Chuckle~

With a fluid motion, summoned the familiar golden-lined bike he had crafted earlier.

Its wheels shimmered under the neon city lights,

And the engine hummed with Brahmastra energy.

Surge Rider let out an impressed whistle, her eyes twinkling.

"Impressive. Follow me,"

She said, veering slightly as she gestured forward.

With a nod, Rudra kicked the bike into action.

Nod~

The ground blurred beneath them as the two heroes took off into the night,

Leaving the stunned crowd—

And the still-gathering social media storm—

Behind.

The city stretched before them, alive with lights, shadows, and the promise of new missions.

The night was theirs.
