I looked up to be hit with terror. The flare was let off into the air leaving a red mark. I channeled mana into my legs rushing in that direction bumping into Amelia. Are you okay "don't worry about us, a student is fighting the mana beast" a mana beast! I dashed in that direction to only be horrified at what I was looking at the beast was a b rank elder beast- the student was still standing his black hair flowing in the air his side pierced with a greatsword while his left arm was split into two vomiting on the ground I walk up to the young boy his hair now stained with his blood or the monsters I could not tell I tried to apply healing mana into his wounds but the mana was avoiding him I checked his pulse there was nothing his torn muscle and ligaments not even a heart beat I picked the boy up there was a markings left on his face but there was not even a single drop of mana left in his body I dashed to the academy calling all students back to the academy canceling class and calling the head board to start inspection on the forest I set the young man onto a bed in the infirmary iris was the first to arrive the young girl in tears her grey hair covering her face. "please wake up" a silent mumble I curse under my breath not able to do anything, the others asking permission to open the door I calmly answer yes and Amelia and Reinhard and the other students looking with worry "who is this anyway?" he i-"regulus I could have saved him" wait "this is regulus" yeah i say in a low manor right now you all need to rest me too i will report this incident to the head tomorrow and call the family. I-i just hope he's not dead.
