Chapter 121 - 118. Throwing Out Three Disciples

Huang Chutian. The first student called out by Zhou Yi was Huang Chutian—a student who was also currently receiving special treatment as a core disciple.

Huang Chutian was stunned, then let out a small laugh. "Teacher Zhou, there's no need to be this serious. Wasn't I just a bit slow to stand up?"

Zhou Yi didn't waste time responding to words she deemed meaningless. In an instant, she was already standing in front of Huang Chutian, grabbed the collar of his shirt, and threw him straight out the window. A brief scream echoed from outside—then silence. Not only were the students stunned, even Wang Yan hadn't expected Zhou Yi to go that far.

With an expressionless face, Zhou Yi spoke again. "Ye Yulin, Yu Ling, Tang Xiaoxiao, Ouyang Haiya…" She continued naming students until all 30 who had stood up late were called out.

After witnessing Huang Chutian's fate, not a single one dared to protest. All of them promptly left the classroom without resistance. The six soul rings rotating around Zhou Yi were warning enough—resistance would only lead to destruction.

Zhou Yi then made two announcements in a flat tone. "First, I will appoint class monitors. Wang Feng will be the monitor for the Assault System, and Huo Yuhao for the Control System. Second, from today onward, anyone who dares to question a teacher's decision will be expelled from class."

Dai Huabin suddenly spoke up, "Teacher Zhou, shouldn't the class president be elected by the students?"

Zhou Yi looked at him with a cold stare. "I just said that anyone who questions the teacher will be expelled. Since you're a core disciple, I can't expel you directly. However, I will request the Academy to transfer you out of Class 1. Dai Huabin, stand up and leave."

Dai Huabin was stunned, not expecting Zhou Yi to go that far. Before he could even react, Zhou Yi had already appeared right in front of him and, without a word, threw him out the window—following the same fate as Huang Chutian.

Zhu Lu, who was sitting not far away, shouted with a mix of anger and shock, "Teacher Zhou, I can't accept this!"

Zhou Yi grabbed her and threw her out the window as well. "If you can't accept it, you can leave too."

There had been a stir in class when Huang Chutian was expelled, but now the atmosphere had turned deathly silent. You could hear a pin drop. Even the students standing in the corridor outside the classroom who had heard the commotion were frozen, the mood drastically shifted.

Wang Yan, his eyes wide, finally realized something. In his heart, he muttered, "Now I understand why Zhou Yi has never been promoted to senior teacher… her emotions are too explosive."

"Teacher Zhou!" he finally called out, trying to prevent further chaos.

Zhou Yi appeared right in front of him. The students briefly thought she would throw Wang Yan out the window as well, but instead, she simply said in a flat voice, "Teacher Wang, you are the head teacher in charge of Class 1, while I am only an assistant teacher. However, I have the right to implement my own teaching methods. I request that you report to the Academy that Huang Chutian, Dai Huabin, and Zhu Lu have committed serious disciplinary violations. Because they are core disciples, I cannot expel them directly. But I want them transferred to another class. I also request that Wu Feng be transferred, as she was absent on the first day of class without a valid excuse."

Wang Yan quickly replied, "Teacher Zhou, please calm down. They're all core disciples!"

Zhou Yi stared at him coldly. "In my eyes, there are only two types of students—those who obey and those who don't, those who are useful and those who aren't. There is no such thing as a 'core disciple.' I've made my decision, and I will not teach them. Now, please continue the class. I'll handle the students outside."

Without waiting for a reply, Zhou Yi turned and walked out.

Xiao Xiao whispered in awe, "Yuhao, did you see that? Teacher Zhou really stood up for you. I like the way she protects you."

Wang Dong was even more concise, "Her dominant presence is overwhelming."

Hearing their words, a faint smile spread across Huo Yuhao's face. His heart was filled with warmth. In just three short months since arriving at the academy, he had found so much kindness—Xiao Xiao, who always supported him; Wang Dong, who shared secrets with him; Teacher Zhou, who protected him unconditionally; and…

His gaze shifted to Wang Feng beside him. With an innocent blink, he snuck a glance.

Wang Feng, sensing the look, turned to meet it and responded with a warm smile, making Huo Yuhao quickly look away, embarrassed at being caught staring.

Zhou Yi had made her dominance unmistakably clear. In less than three minutes, she had expelled three core disciples and one temporary core disciple. No other teacher at the Academy would dare to do something like that. Even Wang Yan thought she was insane.

However, the results were immediately apparent. The students of Class 1 felt a huge sense of urgency. If even core disciples could be thrown out, what chance did they have?

At this point, no one dared to defy Zhou Yi. The students, both inside and outside the classroom, became extremely obedient.

The original students of Class 1 even felt a sense of pride. They understood Zhou Yi's teaching style and felt a sense of justice in her actions. It was as if Zhou Yi had unleashed her fury on behalf of the injustice Huo Yuhao had suffered—for the sake of all of Class 1.

Wang Yan began the class with mixed feelings. Though he wanted to report Zhou Yi to the Academy, he knew it could only be done after class. Yet, it didn't take long for him to realize something.

Today's class was completely different from before. The thirty or so students who remained in the classroom were studying seriously. The relaxed atmosphere of the previous day had been replaced with intense focus. Discipline had improved drastically.

Wang Yan couldn't help but think, "Maybe... being strict like that isn't entirely wrong."

Of course, Huang Chutian, Dai Huabin, and Zhu Lu—who were currently crawling up from the spot where they had landed—would never agree with that sentiment. They were still in shock. Even in their wildest dreams, they had never imagined something like this could happen on the first day of class.
