Cherreads

Chapter 113 - Chapter 113

Kevin and the others stood at the entrance of the roller coaster, waiting for Ying and her group to finish their ride.

As for Paimon, she had wandered off to his personal snack cart to "inspect the territory."

Of course, she also took the chance to restock his storage ring.

Paimon rummaged through his "kingdom," grabbing a bag of potato chips here, a handful of spicy strips there, stuffing her cheeks like a little chipmunk preparing for winter.

Meanwhile, in the amusement park, the roller coaster carrying Ying, March 7th, Liuying, and Furina returned to the platform.

Ying and Liuying hopped out effortlessly, excitement shining in their eyes. They grinned at each other, clearly ready for another round.

March 7th, however, slumped over the railing, looking pale as she tried to hold herself together. She hadn't blacked out, but nausea twisted in her stomach. The ride had been three kilometers long with multiple 360-degree loops, and it had left her feeling dizzy.

Kevin patted March 7th on the back, his tone teasing.

"March, you can't be serious. Weren't you the one saying yesterday that you'd ride it three times in a row? And now you're struggling after just one? Look at Furina—it's her first time, and she looks fine."

Something felt off.

March 7th frowned. Furina had been the one screaming the loudest just moments ago.

What happened?

She turned to check on Furina—only to find her staring into space, pupils blown wide, her expression blank and lifeless.

"Furina? Furina?" March 7th called, shaking her gently.

No response.

"No! Help!"

Panic gripped March 7th as she shook Furina harder, finally jolting her back to reality.

"Waaahhh! Never again! That was terrifying!" Furina wailed, throwing herself into March 7th's arms, shaking like a leaf.

Liuying and March 7th helped her to a nearby bench. Furina's legs had turned to jelly—standing was out of the question.

At that moment, Kevin spotted Yuri and Ying approaching.

"Hey, Yuri! When did you get here? Eh? Ying, you too?"

Yuri smirked, giving Kevin a thumbs up.

"It's only been two days since we last saw you, and you've already built an amusement park? Impressive."

Kevin grinned. "I rode one in Penacony last time, but it wasn't enough. Now that I have this massive cave and all this empty land, I figured—why not build an amusement park? This way, we can play whenever we want."

Yuri glanced at the roller coaster and chuckled. "Another round?"

Yuri shot a meaningful look at Ying.

Kevin caught on instantly and smirked.

Ah, so this was a setup.

Kevin turned to them, feigning innocence. "Ying, want to give it a try? I promise you, it's amazing."

Yuri, pulled out his phone and sent Kevin a message.

Yuri: Ying want the pick-up cards you have. You know what to do.

Kevin's phone buzzed. He glanced at the screen, then shot back a quick reply.

Kevin: Understood!

Moments later, Kevin called out, and two workers came rushing over with a large box.

So, with an air of resignation, Kevin, Liuying, Yuri, and Ying all went in.

March 7th pressed the start button, and the ride began its slow climb.

Was the incline always this steep?

Seconds later, the roller coaster plummeted, and her screams echoed across the amusement park.

The ride twisted through the sky, plunged underwater, and zoomed through tunnels, each turn more intense than the last.

Meanwhile, March 7th helped Furina over to a nearby fountain so she could recover.

Just then, the roller coaster thundered overhead, and Himeko's terrified shrieks rang out.

Furina paused, listening.

And then, she smiled.

"Tsk, tsk. That's rough."

March 7th looked at her in surprise. "You're feeling better?"

Furina stretched, suddenly full of energy. "Oh, much better! C'mon, let's go to the platform—I need to see their faces when they get off!"

March 7th blinked, speechless.

That saying... what was it again?

Ah, yes.

Watching others suffer the same fate is strangely satisfying.

They hurried to the platform just as the roller coaster screeched to a stop.

Furina took one look at her and burst into laughter.

"This is amazing! Seeing the great Himeko reduced to this—priceless!"

In the end, Kevin sold a box of pick-up cards to Himeko and Ying for 1,000 Stellar Jade. He and Yuri just wanted some fun—there was no need to make things too painful.

"Yuri! You better appreciate what I've just been through! I paid for this with my soul and dignity!"

Yuri barely held back a laugh. "Another round? It actually looks really fun."

Kevin's eyes lit up. "Oh! You're up for more? Let's go!"

Furina ran to the controls, eyes gleaming.

"ROLLER COASTER—START!"

The roller coaster started again. During the climb, Shenhe had a tragic look on his face, like a prisoner about to be executed.

What if he never came back?

"Help!!!!"

The screams of a certain fox resounded throughout the amusement park again.

After spending some time at the amusement park, the group returned to the train.

Furina was satisfied. She found that she liked watching others suffer.

Shenhe had finally recovered, but the terror of the ride was still fresh in her mind.

Yuri couldn't help but laugh at Shenhe's miserable state.

"Haha!!!"

Shenhe rolled her eyes at Yuri in annoyance. "You're still laughing? I was suffering!"

Yuri looked innocent.

"You can't blame me for this. You wanted to ride it yourself."
