Chapter 260 - Chapter 234: Mobius was sleeping till now?

Faced with this arrogant act of flashing wildly right in front of its eyes, Godzilla decided to respond with a heavy punch.

"Hey! Let me out!"

Thud thud thud.

Slowly loosening its tail, the Herrscher of Sentience glared at Godzilla full of defiance, pointing at him angrily.

"If you've got the guts, fight me fair and square! What's the point of a sneak attack, huh? Show some dignity!"

Small body, big temper.

Godzilla had plenty of experience dealing with this type.

Bonk!

Just put them to sleep with love and everything will be fine.

…...

"Mmph..." She puffed up her cheeks and stared straight ahead.

A very visible, tangible resentment, noticeable even from a distance.

The Herrscher of Sentience glared at this unfamiliar place with clear displeasure.

Gently swinging her legs, Miss Memokeeper sat on an imaginary branch, tilting her head slightly as she watched the Herrscher of Sentience below with curiosity.

Outwardly obedient, inwardly rebellious.

So this is what Fu Hua looks like in this state.

Miss Memokeeper blinked, the corners of her lips lifting a little.

This was her first time seeing it. Her impression of Fu Hua had always been: serious, rigid, disciplined, every movement containing a unique charm.

Seeing her so lively and full of energy today was quite new.

"Hey, you over there. What are you staring at? Yes, you, the one on the tree. Are you trying to laugh at me?"

Her eyes narrowed. The Herrscher of Sentience looked up, scolding irritably.

That blatant stare from above was way too arrogant!

'In front of me, the Herrscher of Sentience, you dare expose your thoughts so openly? Don't go too far!'

'Don't think you can act all smug just because you belong to that big guy. He isn't here now, if you annoy me, I'll punch you into the sky.'

"Oh? Sorry, sorry, I was just curious." Seeing she'd been noticed, Miss Memokeeper apologized politely and floated down slowly.

The round eyes beneath the hood met the emotionally charged gaze of the Herrscher of Sentience.

"I heard that Herrschers in the past would destroy civilizations as soon as they appeared. Why did you attack her even though she's also a fellow Herrscher?"

The "her" she meant was the Herrscher of Ice, who Godzilla had grabbed and used as a radar.

Miss Memokeeper had carefully studied this world's knowledge.

Herrschers on humanity's side were those who had defeated the consciousness born from Honkai, except for the Herrscher of Reason, whose mind was made from three hundred thousand people.

Someone like the Herrscher of Sentience was a first for her.

An entirely new consciousness born from Honkai energy within a body whose original mind was lost, by all logic, such a consciousness should obey Honkai unconditionally.

Yet she had attacked the Herrscher of Ice the moment she awakened.

Her decisiveness was beyond imagination.

"What's with all the why's? My mission is to eliminate Honkai. A ready-made Herrscher daring to jump around in front of me, of course I can't let her go."

"Hmph. If she didn't have two Herrscher cores, I would've taken her down already."

The Herrscher of Sentience pouted unhappily.

Due to time constraints, the Herrscher of Ice couldn't fully use the powers of the Herrscher of Rock, but her massive Honkai energy still gave her enough to survive.

Several times, the Herrscher of Sentience almost got her, each time she was about to land the final blow, something happened.

"But she only has those cheap tricks. If I run into her again, I'll send her flying in a few hits."

Still a child. A hint of understanding flashed in Miss Memokeeper's eyes.

Based on what she had learned and experienced, she easily deduced what had happened to the Herrscher of Sentience.

Fu Hua's enormous memories had overwhelmed the freshly born, blank-slate Herrscher.

If she couldn't see something so obvious, even the Garden of Recollection would deny her existence.

"Hey, you." The Herrscher of Sentience placed one hand on her waist. "Tell me how to get out of here. I'm going to go eliminate Honkai."

Though her tone was impatient and a bit sharp, she was overall still pretty well-behaved.

So naturally, Miss Memokeeper also was eager to chat with her.

"Nope." She crossed her arms in a big X, smiling gently at the Herrscher of Sentience's stunned expression.

"You were brought here by Godzilla. If you want to leave, you should ask him. And I also don't know how to send you out."

"But that big guy isn't here right now!"

"Then I can't help you. Maybe wait a bit."

"Arghhh!! I can't stand this anymore! I don't believe I can't find a way out!" The Herrscher of Sentience sensed that Miss Memokeeper wasn't lying.

Before the great Herrscher of Sentience, no one can lie. So this hooded, masked person really didn't know how to leave.

Fine then. It's just finding a way out, watch me!

Watching the Herrscher of Sentience dash off wildly, Miss Memokeeper put her hands on her hips.

Not her problem anyway~~

....

"Wuwuwu, wuuuu, wuuuaahh!! Old antique, how could you end up like this! You promised to take me to that bun shop! You liar, wuuu~~"

"Uh… Fuxi."

Wiping her forehead, which of course had no sweat, Fu Hua's mouth twitched as she spoke helplessly.

"I just can't move freely for now, no need to overreact like this."

Wiping away nonexistent tears, Book of Fuxi glared at Fu Hua's faintly visible form.

"What's the difference between this and being dead? Honestly, you fought through countless battles, how could you be so careless you even lost your body? Why didn't you lose yourself along with it?"

Listening to her nagging and watching her expression, Fu Hua's eyes softened.

"Still smiling! You really forget pain once the wound heals! You clearly haven't recovered your strength yet you rush to the front again. Forgot how weird Herrscher powers can be? If something else happened, don't blame me for bawling later."

Book of Fuxi puffed her cheeks angrily, crossing her arms and turning away from the infuriating old antique.

While she was scolding enthusiastically, someone else was worrying.

"Will class monitor's body really be okay after being taken away?" Kiana asked, having stayed behind to avoid causing trouble.

"I'm not worried Godzilla would do something to her body," Kiana added. "It's just that the Herrscher occupying her body seems really arrogant. If she annoys Godzilla, the one who'll suffer is class monitor's body."

Kallen scratched her cheek, hesitating: "I don't think it'll be that bad. Herrschers can read situations too. Godzilla's power is way beyond theirs. Maybe… in Godzilla's eyes, all her struggles are just child's play?"

A rare moment the Kaslana brain was working!

Theresa sighed helplessly: "It's not the Herrscher I'm worried about. It's the problem of Fu Hua's body. We can't let her stay like this forever."

"It's actually fine."

"You shut up!" Fu Hua had barely spoken before being smacked down by Book of Fuxi again.

Even the celebrated Chiyuan Immortal didn't dare challenge the little elf's wrath.

Su, still present, looked at Fu Hua. "Sorry, Hua. I should have acted sooner."

Fu Hua shook her head slightly. "It's no one's fault. And she is the Herrscher of Sentience. Acting rashly wouldn't have been good."

As the one holding the Herrscher of Sentience's God Key, Fenghuang Down, Fu Hua understood the Herrscher's abilities best.

Although this Herrscher of Sentience was better at martial arts…

"We can only rely on Miss Sakura then." Theresa sighed helplessly.

Among everyone, only Sakura was familiar with her, they had no choice.

...

Let's rewind time to three hours ago, when the meteor split in two.

The enormous meteor that had floated around Earth was inevitably torn apart by the overwhelming force.

Fragments scattered everywhere.

Vast in scale, covering the sky and blocking out the sun, like scattered stardust falling down.

Amid these meteor fragments as numerous as the stars, a "small" existence filled with vitality slowly descended onto Godzilla's back.

Perfectly stable.

Sounds came from the outside world.

"Take my punch!"

Thud!

"Damn it, again!"

…Doesn't sound too good.

The consciousness dwelling within began to awaken, thoughts gradually stirring.

Sensing the abundant energy outside, the special cocoon began to change.

Energy surged and gathered inside, and a petite silhouette could vaguely be seen within.

With the force of breaking through the cocoon, a few seconds later, the life hidden inside bloomed into existence.

A small green-haired girl slowly stretched her limbs, her not-quite-awake eyes shining with a brilliance that shouldn't belong to someone her age.

Because she had just been born from the cocoon, she could only support herself on all fours against the "ground," looking into the distance at what seemed like an impossibly huge body beneath her.

"Where is this?" Mobius, child version.

With curiosity mixed with confusion, she observed this unfamiliar world.

'Strange. What is this place?' Mobius was puzzled.

From Herta and Ruan Mei, she had already learned that fifty thousand years later, aside from some environmental changes, most of Earth shouldn't be too different from her time.

Much less should Earth's environment ever turn into… this.

'Am I on a mountain?' Mobius looked at the "ground" with confusion.

Heavy, tough, no matter how she examined it, she could feel its unique texture.

This ground was strange, the sky was strange, and the overflowing energy felt even stranger.

After sensing abundant energy and a very comfortable aura, she chose to break out of her cocoon voluntarily, but what she saw now left her baffled.

After thinking for a moment, Mobius chose to move toward the direction of the dull noises.

Figuring out the situation was more important than anything.

At that moment, she heard the voices she faintly made out even before breaking out of the cocoon.

"You bastard who keeps getting in the way of me eradicating Honkai!"

Thud!

This time, Mobius heard it clearly.

The voice belonged to a very familiar little white mouse… though the tone was completely different.

As she moved, her energy-starved body hungrily absorbed the energy in the air.

By the time Mobius reached the edge, she had already grown into a petite and adorable young girl.

Wearing a white lab coat far too big for her, she placed both hands on the edge and poked her head out.

Whoosh,

Boom!

Someone she never expected appeared in her line of sight. The sudden noise even made Mobius freeze for a moment.

After a long pause, her trembling lips finally produced a slightly hesitant sound.

"Hua?"

The Hua from fifty thousand years later had surprisingly good fashion sense.

When Mobius' voice appeared within the Imaginary Tree, Miss Memokeeper immediately noticed the tiny version of her.

"Dr. Mobius…???" Her blank stare and uncertain attitude perfectly showed what it meant to be utterly confused.

"So it's you, Miss Memokeeper." Seeing someone she knew, Mobius smiled slightly.

Her demeanor relaxed.

Right after, Mobius asked, "What is this place? Do you know where we are?"

Miss Memokeeper nodded and answered straightforwardly:

"This is the Imaginary Tree."

Only after answering did she realize something was wrong. She froze, staring blankly at Mobius.

A moment later,

"HOW did you get here!!!"

'Huh?' Mobius didn't have time to answer that.

She blinked, looking slightly dazed.

If this expression appeared in front of the pink elf, she would definitely be captivated, but Mobius never made such faces around Elysia, no one ever made her show such an expression.

Just as Mobius was about to ask her next question,

The ground started moving.

The tremor lasted only a moment, and then Mobius suddenly felt a very intense gaze upon her. The owner of that gaze had no ulterior thoughts, just pure, direct attention on her.

Following that sense of life, Mobius slowly lifted her head and met that gaze.

A golden sun.

In that moment, aside from the far-away but still irritated voice of the Herrscher of Sentience, the entire Imaginary Tree was silent.

Unusually peaceful.

Godzilla gazed at the tiny Mobius who had broken out of her cocoon atop his body.

That cocoon was something he brought back on purpose.

It carried traces of life.

To put it in human terms, the Mobius from that time had been starving who-knows-how-many days and nights, and after finally finding a giant Godzilla brimming with life force, instinctively latched on like a dangling ornament.

Godzilla was purely curious what might hatch from it.

And as it turned out, his intuition was correct, he indeed hatched quite a good little treasure.

While the two simply stared at each other, a lively voice shattered the atmosphere.

"Take thiiis!"

The Herrscher of Sentience continued performing steadily, flying in with a kick.

Godzilla's interest was now focused on Mobius, so he didn't meet the attack. As for Mobius, she had already grown to about twenty years old, standing at a visible spot, meeting "Hua's" gaze.

Their eyes met, and for a few seconds, the silence was utterly indescribable.

Staring directly at the suddenly appeared "familiar" figure, the Herrscher of Sentience didn't slow down, charging fiercely into the distance.

Boom!

Youth truly was full of boundless strength.

"You, how are YOU here!" The Herrscher of Sentience rushed back with a swish, eyes wide, staring at Mobius.

Her barren brain simply could not understand the situation.

She remembered that back then, there was no news from Mobius, but also no report of her sacrifice.

So maybe… she had slept until now?

No no no.

The moment the thought appeared, the Herrscher of Sentience rejected it herself.

With Mobius' personality, there was no way she'd sleep until now.

Like Kevin and Su, she'd definitely monitor the world… while tinkering with experiments in this new world and civilization.

She was certain Mobius was that kind of person.

Back in the Flame-Chasers era, she often had to deal with funding being blocked by those disgusting politicians.

Thinking of those times, the Herrscher of Sentience felt even more irritated.

If those fools hadn't been in power, maybe the previous generation could've defeated Honkai already.

No need to wait for this era to fight it.

While the Herrscher of Sentience pondered how Mobius ended up here,

Mobius was also observing her.

"A newly born consciousness from Hua's body… not a true human lifeform."

Just thinking of that little white mouse made Mobius' lips curl upward.

Hua really was the perfect test subject.

Too bad, before or after becoming a fusion warrior,

Hua had always been wary of her.

Honestly, she just wanted to run a few experiments. Mei was experimenting too, why was she the only one everyone guarded against?

"Hah, look at the crazy experiments you make. If someone hadn't stopped you, Honkai wouldn't even need to move, you'd have destroyed the world first."

"…"

You, a Herrscher, lecturing ME about protecting civilization, how appropriate.

Mobius' eye twitched slightly. She finally understood what Miss Memokeeper meant about this Herrscher being different from the others.

She actually surpassed Mobius in boring moral concerns.

A fully awakened Herrscher, mind you!

But… Mobius' smile curved upward again, slowly spreading.

This kind of world was truly interesting. She could hardly wait to see what today's world was like.

Seeing Mobius' expression, the Herrscher of Sentience instantly stiffened.

That smile perfectly matched her memories.

As expected, Mobius was definitely not a good person!

Because of Mobius' arrival, the Herrscher of Sentience quieted down for a brief moment.

She listened as Miss Memokeeper explained the current civilization's knowledge to Mobius…
