Chapter 294 - chapter 93

Lin Feng walked out of a cave, covered in blood. He had a grimaced face, though underneath his looks were ethereally beautiful. A person who's beauty transcends their gender.

They closed their eyes and tapped into their Spirit Stone Soul, activating a technique which seemingly shook the space around him, after a moment he vanished as if never there.

He took a pill out of his pocket and placed it under his tongue to dissolve slowly, at the same time he pulled out a token and whispered into it softly.

"Lightseeker code 5-07 reporting in. Yi Sect fortification in section B has been destroyed, advance frontline."

There was noone he could hear on the other end, he placed the token away. He was a member of a smaller sect that has always had good relations with the major sects, Light Bringers.

As one would expect from such a name, their sect focuses on cultivating all sorts of light laws. They're known for their speed, flashiness, raw power but also lesser known their stealth.

Just like light can expose your location, it can be bent around to become almost invisible as Lin Feng was doing at this moment.

He looked down onto his palm and took out a special type of light law which was uniquely cultivated by the Light Bringers and only given to those part of the elite Lightseekers.

Light of Justice!

Illuminating the blood staining his hand, his sense of justice shone through and allowed Lin Feng to see through the blood the location of another base of Yi Sects.

The blood coalesced from around Lin Feng s surrounding as it burned under the Light if Justice. Finally, the last drop evaporated and Lin Feng was enlightened.

He looked back, "Vampires...to think there still existed some ancient vampires and they threw away their sense of justice for lunacy."

Ling Feng thought for a moment and held up his hand, emitting a beacon of light which only members of his sect could see. If he intended to wipe out that vampire cluster, he would need help. He was strong, but vampires have inherent racial strengths which make them even trickier to handle when at similar levels.

After waiting a few moments, branches and leaves around Lin Feng snapped, his companions have arrived.

"Senior Lin Feng!" They said in unison, just three support members. The sect was small, this was already considered lucky for Lin Feng to be around.

As the strongest, he had highest authority and became the impromptu leader. He undid his cloaking and held out his hand, "Sync our wavelengths, from now on we move as one."

The four of them, including Lin Feng, held hands together and closed their eyes, they felt each others unique signature for their light laws and adjusted their own in accordance. In the end, they all held a similar wavelength which allowed them to see eachother when camouflaged and help when doing killer moves together.

They moved in unison, following Lin Feng's lead into the air of the vampires. A short distance away, they hid behind rocks and...

Watched.

Observed.

Stalked their prey.

This was the method of the truly strong. Some think the strong should be flashy and not have to worry about others but Light Bringers have a different opinion...there will always be stronger, the strong never underestimate their opponents.

"They appear to be low-ranking vampires and thrall. This seems to be the bulk supply base for this section of Yi Sect's base vampire attack forces."

One of the subordinates, Chen Ming, spoke up, "I remember being told that only mid-rank vampires could create thralls...we should assume that there is at minimum one mid-rank here."

Lin Feng nodded, "Good." He turned to the other two, "Any other vampire knowledge? We all know little but even a small thing might be useful...I know you aren't used to fighting the near-extinct vampires so think for a moment."

The two nodded and closed their eyes, looking into their memories for anything to do with vampires. They had become extremely rare in the world since ancient times, only Nine Clouds Sect had some remaining though their racial powers had been weakened to a mere buff in blood cultivation.

Wang Wei, a chubby fellow, opened his eyes and sat up. He said softly, "I remember something I read about in a certain mission. It was records about special-born vampires who can disguise as low-rank despite their actual rank!"

Lin Feng bit his lips and furrowed his brows. If the info was true...while rare, it was a chance. Light Bringers did not underestimate their prey, they could not treat the low-ranking vampires as simple prey.

He sighed, "Hao Ran?" The final subordinate shook his head, it was a long shot. They were lucky they already had so much information on them.

Lin Feng blinked his eyes in the direction of the vampire's lair, a stone castle carved into the side of a mountain. Using different types of light he saw through the stone and could look into the castle from the outside, though it was likely some places were disturbed from other laws interference.

He reported back, "Approximately 100 low-ranked vampires, 200 Thrall and a room I cannot see into but it's likely to be where any higher ranked vampires lay and where the thrall are created. And..."

Lin Feng looked down, "many of the thrall appear to be captured soldiers from our side, we need to decide here and now... Do we kill or avoid?"

Chen Ming was the first to speak up, "I don't know the mechanics of thralls, but I do know my justice...we will go directly to the hidden room and attack the high ranked directly. In any hope, that will release the thrall and we can defeat the lower-ranked vampires with ease."

Wang Wei and Hao Ran looked eachother in the eyes and stood up, swinging their Rms around Chen Ming, "We, too!"

Lin Feng chuckled, "I see you are all Just...let us plan carefully. I swear on my authority that we will do our best to uphold this justice." He stood up, "I will set up a light tunnel, then we rush."
