Hamar floated in the air looking down from the top of that mountain, looking at the world in a new light.
"Everything in this world is merely mana...it's all one big sham" he reached into the air and imagine grasping those laws which seemed so foreign to him.
"It's not that laws and aura are incompatible, it's that it's my mana, aura, versus the worlds mana, laws."
Something in his eyes flashed, "Does this mean..."
He didn't verbalise it, but he knew what he wanted to do.
Instead of using mental energy to pull laws out of the connection to Hou's body he has, he injected aura. That very destructive aura he once thought would wreck this connection now seemed to be the key to control it.
He pulled the aura and wrapped it into those laws he could feel from Hou's ever growing collection. Throughout the time Hamar was in Night Sky, Hou had been continuing to absorb laws.
They would change though, the poison would morph, sometimes he would absorb new laws. At points, Hamar could sense that whoever had Hou's body was using it, his soul would shake.
Through this constant changing, the location of Hou was slowly narrowed. Hamar became a middle man between Night Sky and his master, therefore Nine Clouds Sovereign Sect.
In doing so, they finally found Hou. They knew where he was but waited for Hamar to breakthrough to use his aura to help get through.
Xiao Ye, she was once a 'friend' of Hamar and Hou's but she was a traitor and escaped with Hou's body. This shows even if the enemy is strong, they are even more adept at escape.
Hou was in the middle of Nine Clouds Sovereign Sect and still, Xiao Ye could escape. Hamar would be the counter to this.
He was still weak but his aura had a strong way to block laws and the plan was for his aura to act as a barrier to block the enemies escape while the stronger Elders fight.
Hamar stopped thinking about the overall plan and let out a sigh, "First...Si Tai has some plans with me, shall we see what that is?"
Hamar spoke to the dragon in front of him and it roared, "Then lets go! The faster this is done, the faster main body can be saved."
It flew downwards and skimmed the floor as Hamar jumped onto its back and rode it through the air.
"Follow my directions!"
Hamar flew upon the death dragon to where he was told Si Tai would be waiting for him. In a cave on a random mountain top,
"Senior!"
Hamar bowed from his waist, towards the figure pepper in the cave. Large fluctuations shook the very essence of the world as Si Tai walked forward and patted Hamar on the shoulder.
"Ho ho, you are a cheeky guy, aren't you? So you want to accept MY teaching in exchange for something, does that make much sense?"
Hamar smirked and looked into his eyes, "And you just want to teach me without any ulterior motives?"
Si Tai chuckled and the shadows of the cave snickered. "Oh, you are interesting...Yes I do have an ulterior motive. Not only do I actually want to do the condition you mentioned but also that mount of yours..."
He peeked outside the cave where the Death Dragon was flying around, creating painting like strokes in the air.
"Your condition is for me to join in helping bring back your friend you said? Hou was his name?"
Hamar nodded, "Indeed"
"Well...I would've wanted to go anyway. Your friend means nothing to me but the people who took him...well that's a different story"
"Do you...do you know who it is?"
Si Tai squinted lightly, "You were kept in the dark huh..." He then sat down on the floor and started to speak, "Come, let me tell you"
Hamar sat down tentatively and whistled, causing his death dragon to come and coil around him too, then he nodded.
"This story begins a long long time ago, long before history. A time just after Zhao Tian had created his children...a time before Great Earthly Master of Heaven Yao Tian had formed the world as we know it."
"This was a chaotic period where spirits still roamed the land but it was kept under control by the remaining children of Zhao Tian."
Hamar became engrossed into the story, he had always yearned to know more about the world.
"In this period many great sects were created and destroyed. And in the end three remained, the very three that remain to this day. Nine Clouds Sovereign Sect, formally known as Cloud Sect. Terrestrial Overlords Sect, formally known as Earth Sect. And the final one...."
For a moment, the air seemed to grow stale, "Yi Sect. This is something that is kept secret by the great sects but I've learned you are a direct disciple so I'll tell you."
He took a deep breath and looked a round before saying it, "The myth you know of. That Zhao Tian controlled spirits and then his son Yao Tian decided to break those spirits and made the world into what it is where spirits are no more and laws became the governor of the world...it is a lie. A lie meant to cover up the truth."
Hamar's heart started to pound stronger as he leant in. The death dragon seemed to know something as he curled tighter.
Si Tai continued, "Yi Sect where the real mastermind of that great change. Yao Tian wished to keep spirits and protect the world but Yi Sect...they inherited all the bad emotions of Zhao Tian and due to that they only sought destruction. They tried to destroy this world, only Yao Tian, by sacrificing himself could retain the world but with that transformation that laws now control the world alone."
Hamar's heart continued to race as he asked, "And why are you telling me this?" His face became serious, this was clearly beyond just his friend.
"That event, where Yi Sect tried to destroy the world. That event is know as the First Great Cataclysm. And now...Yi Sect plan to try again and this whole conspiracy has something to do with it. Your friend Hou, my Grand Life Crystal theft that was framed to have been your doing, it's all connected to Yi Sect..."
