[8 months later…]
It has already been around a good 8 months since I and the other three started training.
My growth rate has increased significantly, even without any guidance I managed to breakthrough with little trouble.
Now, my cultivation realm is the 8th stage of Qi Condensation Realm.
Even though my cultivation realm is rather low, I can still contend against cultivators of higher realms due to my physiology and abundant amount of Qi.
Within the first three months of the training, I managed to train and develop my Ki.
What's the difference between [Qi Energy] and [Ki Energy]?
Well, both of them are nearly identical.
Both supposedly represented a living being's life energy and lifespan, though Qi is more so the energy of existence due to the fact that it's closely linked to the Dao.
Meanwhile, Ki is the energy of mind, body and soul.
Not only does my ability and cultivation increase, my baseline physical ability also improves significantly. It's probably because of my training, gradual strength progression and sunlight exposure.
The year of the Horse.
10th day of the 6th month.
It has been a while, today is the day where everyone will be given the chance to acquire some techniques.
This is the day where all of us are allowed to enter the [Great Wise Tower].

Standing before us was a tall building reminiscent of ancient Chinese architecture, the tower's gate was massive, the presence emanating from inside was overwhelming—but I was not affected, my mental fortitude was thousands of times tougher than anyone at my level.
Everyone else was hesitant except me, I walked forward with undeniable confidence and slowly pushed open the large wooden gate while the others slowly followed me.
Inside, I saw Uncle Guàiwù, one of the clan members that hold the position with authority more or less equal to that of the Elders, he was lazy as always, though his heavy spiritual pressure was no joke.
Beside him was a massive adult Tiger, this Tiger was a magical beast that possessed the power roughly equivalent to that of a Golden Core Cultivator.
"Greetings, senior." I greeted Uncle Guàiwù, his response was a simple nod.
"It's already that time of the year, huh?" He mumbled under his breath, he stared directly at us before returning his gaze to the book in his hand, "So it's already the time you young saplings are going to search for a technique? Well, remember to not go overboard and know your limits." He said, he doesn't even bother to look at us.
It's good that he doesn't really bother us.
We entered the first floor.
On this floor there's only Earth-level techniques, so I decided to ascend to a higher floor.
There's a certain mechanism put on the tower that punishes someone that bites more than what they can chew as each floor is stronger than the previous one.
I could sense that the gravity is around 3 times stronger than usual.
Not really a problem for me though but for them, it might be.
He saw some of the others began to struggle and retreated.
The only ones left on the second floor were me, Lin Feng, Mo Feng, Dai Feng and Pan Feng.

Sitting in the middle of a massive lake was me.
Around me, the temperature gradually dropped until it reached the negatives.
The ice energy began to enter my body through my breathing and moved into my veins.
I tempered my body with the Qi over and over again.
Suddenly a pillar of blue light erupted from me and pierced the sky.
"Great! I reached the core formation realm!" I celebrated my new milestone.
From the visit to the Great Wise Tower, I managed to acquire several incredible cultivation and martial techniques.

It was a natural death so I'm not really that sad.
Though it was unfortunate, I still have a long life ahead of me.

Even if I always tried to not care, I still lost a part of me when she died.
I think I'm going to live by myself after this, away from everyone.
