When Lorelei led Felix out of the reception room and down the stairs, there were still a lot of pack members around, trying to catch a glimpse of what was going on, but the whispers mostly died down, and the stares were also much more scarce. They mostly restrained themselves to sneaking furtive glances while bowing at the woman in greeting. Especially among the Omegas, who suddenly turned into shy, quiet, and obedient creatures, no longer the Kade-thirsty gossip vultures.
It seemed that while Lorelei appeared very nice and kind (at least to Felix), she still maintained proper discipline in the pack. Well, it was probably much easier for her to reproach and control the Omegas than it was for Kade.
