Chapter 255: Hehe... My Big Brother Xiao Yan Has the Potential of a Dou Di!

In the pitch black depths of the spatial wormhole, streaks of silver light occasionally flashed and vanished into the distance.

On a small spatial ship, Lu Bu sat at the bow, one hand on the controls, guiding the vessel's flight.

While this ship was much smaller than the massive ones used by the Gu Clan's Black Army, it was an expensive purchase. It had cost Lu Bu a full ten million gold coins. Though its appearance wasn't particularly striking, the materials were top tier, making it sturdy and reliable.

Even if it encountered a spatial storm, this ship could accelerate and dodge effortlessly, ensuring Lu Bu wouldn't suffer the kind of disastrous misfortune Xiao Yan experienced in the original story.

Of course… that ten million gold wasn't paid from Lu Bu's own pocket but from the storage ring of Elder Mu Gu. The old man's collection didn't just include pills, medicinal ingredients, cultivation techniques, and Dou Skills it also contained a fortune in gold and treasures. Thanks to that, Lu Bu had saved himself a lot of trouble.

"No wonder he was an eighth tier alchemist. This is a real haul…" Lu Bu couldn't help but sigh in admiration. Killing and looting this is the way to make it big. Definitely need to do this more often.

Mu Gu likely wasn't dead yet. When they crossed paths again, Lu Bu would be sure to fleece him for even more.

As these thoughts ran through his mind, a massive silver portal appeared in his line of sight, drawing a pleased smile to his face. "Finally… after all these days, I've arrived."

Standing up, Lu Bu stretched his body, preparing to leave the spatial tunnel.

"Finally here… Damn Medicine Clan!" Lu Bu muttered under his breath as he slowed the ship. Whether by design or coincidence, the spatial wormholes in the southwestern region led everywhere except directly to the Pill Region.

As a result, Lu Bu had been forced to take a detour to reach the Pill Region. It was clear that the Medicine Clan was both arrogant and insular. Their unwillingness to establish connections with the rest of the continent spoke volumes about their pride and obstinacy.

The Medicine Clan's destruction in the original story? Completely deserved. They weren't worth saving.

Whoosh!

Suddenly, just as Lu Bu was approaching the exit, a medium sized spatial ship hurtled past him, narrowly missing his own vessel, before coming to a stop at the wormhole's exit.

Frowning slightly, Lu Bu held back his displeasure and didn't make a scene.

"Hahaha… Tianbei City, this young master has returned!" A burly young man stepped off the spatial ship, standing proudly in the wide plaza outside the wormhole. His face was filled with arrogance and defiance.

"Hong Chen, hurry up and finish your business. The Pavilion Master is waiting for our report," came a slightly hoarse voice from behind him. An elderly man floated gracefully into the air, waving his sleeve to stow away the spatial ship.

"Uh… Yes, Elder Shen…" At the words of the elder, the previously arrogant Hong Chen immediately reined in his demeanor, bowing his head and nodding respectfully with a sheepish smile.

Tsk… Lu Bu couldn't help but chuckle softly at the display, casting an amused glance in Hong Chen's direction. How quickly they switch from arrogance to submission.

With a wave of his sleeve, Lu Bu stowed his spatial ship and prepared to head toward the next wormhole that would lead him to the Pill Region.

Boom!

Out of nowhere, a deafening crack of thunder erupted. Blinding bolts of lightning surged forward, and in the blink of an eye, a razor sharp claw of lightning formed and struck toward Lu Bu's back.

Frowning, Lu Bu casually flicked his sleeve backward. The soft fabric instantly stiffened, and with a sudden snap, a sharp wave of energy clashed with the lightning claw.

Boom!

At the edge of the wormhole, dazzling arcs of lightning scattered in all directions, shattering the claw into fragments of electrical energy that quickly dissipated.

"What's the meaning of this?" Lu Bu asked, his gaze cold and sharp.

"To think you could block my Wind Thunder Claw you've got some skill!" Hong Chen said, momentarily surprised before sneering.

In the next instant, crackling bolts of electricity erupted around Hong Chen's body, and his Dou Qi surged violently. As for Lu Bu's question? He ignored it entirely.

Behind him, the elder glanced up briefly before tucking his hands into his sleeves. He showed no intention of intervening, seemingly allowing the young man to do as he pleased.

"A seven star Dou Huang?" Lu Bu sized him up, a trace of confusion flashing across his face. What's this clown thinking, provoking me?

"Hehe… It's been years since I returned to Tianbei City. The people here have probably forgotten my name and reputation!" Hong Chen sneered as he locked his aura onto Lu Bu. With a twisted grin, he looked ready to strike at any moment.

"What's your purpose here?" Lu Bu asked calmly as he turned to face Hong Chen. He wasn't in a rush after all, it would still take three months to reach the Pill Region and reunite with Queen Medusa and the others.

"Heh… nothing much," Hong Chen said, cracking his neck as killing intent burst forth. "You seem strong enough, so I'll use you for practice. That way, the people of Tianbei City will remember that Young Master Hong Chen is back!"

"Hong Chen? Tianbei City?" Lu Bu raised an eyebrow, somewhat surprised. He had indeed entered a wormhole leading to the northern region of the Central Plains, but he hadn't expected to arrive at Tianbei City.

If memory served, this was where the family of Senior Sister Han Yue from Jia Nan Academy resided. As for this Hong Chen… he was nothing more than an arrogant bully.

In the original story, he had attempted to forcibly annex Han Yue's family, even going so far as to set up a public martial competition to humiliate them. His goal had been to marry not only Han Yue but also her younger sister, Han Xue.

On the competition stage, he had been arrogant and overbearing, but after losing to Xiao Yan, he resorted to a sneak attack only to be killed outright.

And now, this fool had decided to provoke him? Lu Bu couldn't help but find the situation amusing.

"Aren't you going to intervene?" Lu Bu asked, glancing up at the elder floating in the air. If he remembered correctly, this man was a Wind Lightning Pavilion elder from the Northern Branch. What was his name again? He couldn't quite recall.

The elder remained indifferent, his expression unchanged. He glanced at Lu Bu with a trace of mockery in his eyes, clearly deeming him unworthy of a response.

"Heh… First time in the Central Plains, huh?" Hong Chen sneered. "Didn't your family teach you to respect the strong?"

"Oh… my bad," Hong Chen continued, his voice dripping with condescension. "You're probably just a backwater bumpkin who's never seen a Dou Zong like Elder Shen before."

Lu Bu's expression darkened for a moment before breaking into a wry smile. I thought the arrogance of the Medicine Clan was ridiculous enough, but it seems the Central Plains takes it to another level entirely.

"Are you laughing?" Hong Chen's grin turned cold, and his voice grew icy. "Let's see how long you can keep laughing!"

Boom!

With that, crackling streams of lightning erupted from Hong Chen's body like countless silver snakes, intertwining and surging into a brilliant electric net.

The wild and thunderous crackle of lightning roared to life as arcs of electricity burst across the plaza, accompanied by the sharp snapping sound of discharging energy.

"A seven star Dou Huang? Someone's causing trouble in Tianbei City?"

The oppressive aura released by Hong Chen quickly attracted the attention of many onlookers.

"Alert the clan! Quickly!"

"Wait, wait… no… that's could it be Young Master Hong Chen?"

"Hong Chen? Didn't he go to cultivate in the Wind Lightning Northern Pavilion?"

"Hehehe… Looks like Young Master Hong Chen is bullying someone again. Let's go take a look!"

"Let's go! This could be fun what's going on now?"

"Haha… It's been a while since anything this exciting happened. Leave it to Young Master Hong Chen to liven things up!"

In no time, a large crowd had gathered at the edge of the plaza, chattering among themselves and casting amused glances toward Hong Chen and Lu Bu. The entire area buzzed with excitement, eager for a good show.

"Hehehe… Boy, I'll give you a chance to live," Hong Chen sneered, licking his lips as he spoke. "Crawl through my legs and call me 'Grandfather' three times, and I might let you walk away."

"Heh…" Lu Bu chuckled. "I'm curious… What makes you so confident you can beat me?"

"Hahaha, Young Master Hong Chen! This pretty boy thinks you can't beat him!" someone from the crowd shouted, waving their arms excitedly and adding fuel to the fire.

"Foolish and ignorant. Then go ahead and die!" Hong Chen's sneer turned ferocious. He stomped on the ground, his body trembling as a deafening crack of thunder erupted.

"Kid, remember to steer clear of my Hong Clan and the Wind Lightning Pavilion in your next life!"

Boom!

A low sonic boom echoed behind Lu Bu as Hong Chen's fist, wreathed in crackling lightning, surged toward the back of his head with powerful momentum.

Lu Bu's eyelid twitched, a cold sneer forming on his lips. Without turning, he casually raised a hand and swatted backward.

Slap!

The crisp sound of a slap exploded across the plaza.

The next moment, white shards of broken teeth, accompanied by blood, sprayed into the air before scattering across the hard stone ground.

Hong Chen screamed in agony as his body spun like a top before crashing headfirst into the ground with a heavy thud, landing right in front of his shattered teeth.

The once noisy crowd fell into stunned silence, their disbelief etched into their faces. Did… did Hong Chen just get defeated with a single slap?

Up in the sky, the elder from the Wind Lightning Northern Pavilion, whose gaze had been indifferent moments ago, suddenly stiffened. His expression darkened as his sharp eyes focused on Lu Bu. "Who are you?"

This person was no ordinary individual his strength clearly surpassed Hong Chen's by far!

"Damn it… Hong Clan, kill this brat!" Hong Chen, clutching half his swollen, disfigured face, crawled backward while roaring at the top of his lungs.

"Who dares harm a member of my Hong Clan? Do you wish for death?" an enraged voice called out from the distance. It was clear that someone had alerted the Hong Clan's experts.

Lu Bu paid no attention to the approaching figures. Instead, he turned his gaze upward, meeting the elder's eyes with a faint, mocking smile. "What's this? Now you suddenly care to ask who I am? Weren't you just acting all high and mighty earlier?"

The elder's expression darkened as he growled, "Stranger, I am Elder Shen of the Wind Lightning Northern Pavilion…"

"I don't care who you are!" Lu Bu sneered, stepping forward and vanishing in an instant.

"Courting death!"

The elder's face twisted into a snarl. His withered fingers curled into claws, and a terrifying surge of lightning gathered in an instant. Crackling and violent, it formed two massive ghostly claws made of pure lightning.

But before the claws could be unleashed, the space around them rippled. A fist wreathed in pale cyan flames shot through the air and slammed into the elder's face.

Boom!

The cyan flames burst forth like a blazing rainbow, erupting on the elder's face. The searing energy hurled him back violently, slamming him into the solid stone ground of the plaza.

"Ahhh!" The elder clutched his face, wailing in agony. His face had turned charred black, and the terrifying burn of the strange flame had seared away most of his features.

"Who dares harm my Hong Clan…" Several figures with Dou Qi wings surged forward, their presence imposing as they descended in a rush.

"Dou Zong?" one of them began to bellow, but his voice faltered as his gaze fell on the levitating figure of Lu Bu. His expression froze, and a hint of fear flickered across his face.

"Father, kill him!" Hong Chen, his eyes bloodshot, pointed at Lu Bu with unrestrained fury. He had never suffered such humiliation in his life.

"Young man… I don't care who you are, but today you'll die!" The Wind Lightning Pavilion elder, Shen Yun, slowly rose to his feet, his old voice dripping with venomous hatred. "Hong Li, help me take him down!"

Boom!

Thunder roared, lightning flashed, and an overwhelming aura surged into the skies above Tianbei City, drawing the attention of countless residents.

The man Hong Chen had called "Father" stepped back, stunned at the elder's disheveled state. But after a moment, he let out a malicious laugh. "Hehehe… Boy, how dare you injure Elder Shen Yun of the Wind Lightning Northern Pavilion? You've got a death wish!"

"Hong Clan, surround this pretty boy and kill him!"

Hong Li crushed a blood red jade token in his hand with a squeeze. "All members of the Hong Clan, come help me hold him down until the ancestor arrives!"

"Kid, you're finished!" Shen Yun sneered, his face twisted with malice. "Tell me your background. If it's stronger than my Wind Lightning Pavilion, perhaps I'll spare your life. But if it's weaker… Tianbei City will become your grave!"

Lu Bu's eyes darted mischievously as he let out a sinister laugh. "Hehehe… You think your Wind Lightning Pavilion is so great? Listen carefully, old geezer…"

With a burst of laughter, Lu Bu declared loudly, "Hehehe… My elder brother is Xiao Yan! The successor of the Tou She Ancient Emperor, the greatest man in history, and destined to become a Dou Di!"

"You? You're not even worth his time. I alone can wipe you out!"

"Forget Shen Yun the decrepit geezer your entire Wind Lightning Northern Pavilion is nothing to me!"

"Forget the Northern Pavilion. Even your entire Wind Lightning Pavilion isn't worth mentioning! Why would my elder brother, Xiao Yan, the man destined to become the greatest Dou Di in history, bother dealing with trash like you?"

Hissssss!

The crowd collectively sucked in a breath of cold air. A man with the potential to become a Dou Di? The greatest since Tou She Ancient Emperor?

What arrogant nonsense! Who was this Xiao Yan? Who dared to look down on the entire world like this?

Among the crowd, a silver haired woman's face turned peculiar. Her pearly teeth bit down on her red lips as her delicate cheeks twitched. She seemed torn between wanting to laugh and trying not to.

"Sister, what's wrong?" another young woman beside her noticed the odd expression and asked softly, "Is it that funny?"

"Ahem… It's nothing. I just remembered something happy…" The silver haired woman's cheeks twitched as she fought to suppress her laughter.
