Chapter 155: The Flat Chested Ziyan

Xiao Yan clenched his fists tightly, his gaze icy and filled with hatred. A traitor like Han Feng, who dared to flaunt his teacher's name for his own gain he deserved death!

Compared to Xiao Yan's anger, Yao Lao seemed far calmer. When he first learned of Han Feng's betrayal from Lu Bu in the Magical Beast Mountain Range, his fury was overwhelming, and he wanted to destroy his former disciple at all costs. But now? He decided to leave it to Xiao Yan. Both of them shared the same teacher and practiced the same cultivation method, making them natural rivals.

"When the fight breaks out, don't get involved. Stay as far away as you can," Yao Lao advised.

"Teacher, why?" Xiao Yan frowned, confused. Wasn't sealing the Falling Heart Flame supposed to be to his advantage? He had even considered ambushing Han Feng to eliminate him and help Yao Lao restore his honor.

"Heh… do you really think the Falling Heart Flame is sealed?" Yao Lao chuckled. "That creature is merely temporarily subdued. I can feel the immense energy it still holds within itself."

"If you get involved, it'll lock onto you," Yao Lao warned. "Remember, different types of Heavenly Flames are naturally drawn to devour one another. I suspect the reason it allowed itself to be sealed again is that it sensed either your Heavenly Flame or Lu Bu's."

Xiao Yan's pupils contracted sharply, and a trace of fear entered his gaze as he looked toward the Falling Heart Flame. That cunning creature was far more dangerous than he had imagined.

"Brother Xiao Yan…" Xiao Xun'er tugged on his hand, her delicate features filled with concern. Her own Golden Emperor Flame was also a Heavenly Flame. Though she couldn't sense it as clearly, she understood the risks well enough.

Nodding, Xiao Yan pulled Xun'er and Nalan Yanran along, retreating further from the battlefield.

As his gaze swept the crowd, his eyes landed on Lu Bu, standing a short distance away. A sly grin spread across his face as he tightened his grip on Xun'er and Yanran's hands. That poor guy only had Ziyan, whose figure was so flat that it was impossible to tell her front from her back.

On the other side, Ziyan suddenly froze, then gritted her teeth angrily. Her little silver fangs glinted as she muttered, "Why does it feel like someone's cursing me?"

"What's wrong?" Lu Bu asked curiously.

"Nothing... Actually, no there is something!" Ziyan exclaimed anxiously. "Lu Bu, the Grand Elder is in trouble! What should we do?"

Before Lu Bu could answer, there was a loud explosion. Su Qian and the Gold Silver Elders simultaneously retreated, their movements unstable. The two elders had blood dripping from the corners of their mouths, clearly worse for wear after the exchange.

Su Qian wasn't much better off. His face was pale, and he had already swapped places with Lei Changlao, who now anchored the formation.

"I'll handle it…" Lu Bu patted Ziyan's head, his tone calm.

"Everyone, attack! Kill all the Jia Nan Academy members!" Han Feng ordered coldly.

"Stop them!" Lei Changlao shouted, his voice resolute. "The formation is stable; don't worry about us!"

Hearing this, the surrounding Dou Wang instructors left the formation to engage the Black Corner Region's powerhouses. Meanwhile, the five or six Dou Huang elders continued to sustain the array, knowing that the Falling Heart Flame was critical to the academy's survival.

"Heh, just a few Dou Wangs think they can stop us?" Fan Lao sneered, his blood red aura flaring as he attacked.

Explosions erupted across the sky as the two sides clashed. Though the academy boasted over twenty Dou Wangs, their combined strength was barely enough to hold back the seasoned experts like Yin Gu Lao and Fan Lao.

"Stop holding back! We're already at war with Jia Nan Academy. Show no mercy!" Han Feng barked.

The Black Corner Region's fighters, initially hesitant, hardened their gazes. It was true there was no turning back now. They had to go all in.

Fan Lao, cackling maniacally, unleashed a blood red needle from his palm. The sinister weapon sliced through the air, aiming for a vulnerable Dou Wang. His protective Dou Qi flared around him, shielding him from other attacks as he pressed his assault.

The academy's formation began to falter. A coordinated strategy of targeting the weakest link was forcing the instructors to scatter and lose cohesion.

Ziyan bit her thumb nervously, her worry growing with every passing second.

"Hahaha… let them have a little fun," Han Feng laughed, his blue Dou Qi wings flaring as he charged toward Lei Changlao and the other elders maintaining the seal.

"Lei Changlao, my apologies!" Han Feng sneered, sending a wave of blue flames toward the seal.

Inside the tower, the Falling Heart Flame's crimson eyes gleamed with hunger as it sensed the incoming flames.

"Damn it!" Ziyan cried out, her face pale with anxiety. She unfurled her wings, ready to fly toward Han Feng.

"Wait…" Lu Bu murmured, his voice calm. This girl… always so impulsive.

He flicked his finger, sending a black shadow streaking through the air. It intercepted Han Feng's flames just before they reached Lei Changlao, arriving faster than even Ziyan could.

Clang!

The sound of metal reverberated as the black shadow a puppet surrounded by a blazing green flame blocked the attack. Though it was sent flying backward, it quickly recovered and returned to guard the seal.

"A puppet?!" Han Feng exclaimed, his expression darkening as his soul force scanned the entity. "Damn it it's just a puppet?"

What infuriated him further was that his powerful attack had left only a faint scratch on the puppet's surface.

Lei Changlao and the others sighed in relief, glancing toward Lu Bu with gratitude. That young man truly lived up to his reputation.

"He has a puppet at the Dou Huang level?" Xiao Yan muttered, stunned. "How is this even fair? How does that bastard Lu Bu have everything?"

Xiao Yan's jealousy was so intense that he felt his soul might split in two.

Meanwhile, Lu Bu turned his attention skyward, his gaze locking onto Fan Lao.

He didn't have any grand reasons for targeting the Blood Sect's leader. Fan Lao just looked like an easy target a soft persimmon to crush.

Without hesitation, Lu Bu ascended into the air, heading straight for the blood red figure.

Watching from afar, Xiao Yan smirked. "That idiot is going to get himself into trouble. Once the Falling Heart Flame locks onto him, let's see how he deals with it."

"Do you think this time he'll reveal his true strength?" Xiao Yan asked, his tone dripping with schadenfreude. If Lu Bu's true abilities were exposed, the academy would surely cast him out.
