These elements formed the base structure of all life and reality in Tenari.

Newer Era: Modern Elements (Post-970 GD)
Mana:
First recorded in 970 GD.
Represents raw magical energy outside elemental structure.
Seen as both a fuel source and an unstable wild element.
Spread through experimentation and magical evolution.

Rare and feared due to its unpredictable nature.
Only certain high-tech or magically advanced societies study this element seriously.
Worldview in Tenari
The Original 12 are seen as sacred and unchanging.
Mana and (No spoiler!) are sometimes viewed as "unnatural" by traditionalists, but they are increasingly accepted.
Individuals with control over Mana or (No spoiler!) alongside the Original 12 are practically unheard of such beings would be myth-level rare.
In Tenari, individuals can possess anywhere from 1 to 12 elemental affinities. However, the distribution is highly imbalanced—most beings only manifest a few elements naturally, while the full mastery of all twelve is a near-mythical phenomenon. The chances of being born with each number of elements are as follows:
1 element: Extremely rare, with only 2% of individuals having just a single elemental affinity.
2 elements: Slightly more common at 5.5%, often resulting in dual-style specialists.
3 elements: Found in 22% of the population, a balanced and common configuration.
4 elements: The most typical set for the average fighter or mage, with 24% possessing four.
5 elements: Quite frequent among trained individuals, occurring in 50% of the population.
6 elements: Surprisingly very common at 88%, often seen in those with advanced lineage or refined magical potential.
7 elements: Less common again, with 31% managing to control this many.
8 elements: Only 18.2% are known to handle eight elements effectively.
9 elements: Seen in just 14%, often regarded as gifted prodigies or elite bloodlines.
10 elements: A rare sight at 3%, these individuals typically hold significant power or influence.
11 elements: Exceptionally rare at 1%, often surrounded by superstition or divine favor.
12 elements: The legendary full affinity—only 0.000046% of individuals are born with all twelve. These beings are often worshipped, feared, or hunted.
13 elements: Does not exist. Even mana and atom, the newer elements, are considered additional and not part of the natural 12-core elemental spectrum.
🔒 Birth Elements Lock
Every being in Tenari is born with one locked element known as their Birth Element.
This element is innate, locked into their soul since conception, and cannot be changed.
It shapes their natural affinity, emotions, and sometimes even their physical traits.
Rarely, a being may be born with two or more locked birth elements this is extremely rare, and only possible for those with strong ancestral magic or unique soul patterns.
🌀 Gaining Additional Elements
Additional elements are not automatically unlocked. They must be earned, unlocked, or bestowed through rare, challenging, or often dangerous means.
📜 Approved Methods:
1. Ancestral Rituals
Deep connection to one's lineage or spiritual ancestors can awaken dormant affinities.
2. Divine Favor
Gods, ancient spirits, or elemental titans may grant a new element to mortals as a blessing, test, or punishment.
3. Artificial Fusion
Ancient or forbidden technology, such as Tech Relics or Mana Chambers, can forcibly bind an element into a soul.
This is risky and can cause mutation, madness, or instability.
4. Soul Trials
Surviving a near-death experience tied to a specific element (e.g., being struck by divine lightning and surviving) may forge a new elemental bond.
5. Elemental Resonance
Long exposure to a place, weapon, or creature deeply connected to an element may attune the soul to that force over time.
6. Alchemy or Arcane Surgery
Extremely rare and morally questionable methods used by rogue mages, cults, or corrupt empires.
Success may bring unimaginable power—but failure often results in death or soul fracturing.
☠️ Forbidden Dark Spell – Soul Ingestion
Element: Dark
Type: Forbidden Magic / Elemental Theft
Effect: When cast, the user may consume a living being—swallowing their body and soul whole.
If successful, the caster can absorb the victim's Primary Element into their own elemental pool.
Conditions:
Only works on living beings.
Only the Primary Element is absorbed (not secondary or minor affinities).
Repeated use may corrupt the caster's soul, lead to madness, or invite divine wrath.
Users of this spell are hunted or exiled by nearly all moral factions.
Even when unlocked, mastery of each element is separate gaining it doesn't mean full control.

(These are the chances of being born with a certain number of elements — not gained through ritual or power.)
1 Element: 2% chance single-bonded users, often highly specialized but limited.
2 Elements: 5.5% still rare, but highly respected due to dual affinity.
3 Elements: 22% considered common among skilled individuals.
4 Elements: 24% often considered the average for trained warriors and scholars.
5 Elements: 50% most balanced fighters and magicians fall into this range.
6 Elements: 88% one of the most common, versatile types.
7 Elements: 31% starts to show signs of powerful resonance; uncommon.
8 Elements: 18.2% holders of this much power are seen as blessed or cursed.
9 Elements: 14% very few attain this naturally.
10 Elements: 3% elites, prodigies, or chosen ones.
11 Elements: 1% legendary level, often spoken of in prophecy.
12 Elements: 0.000046% almost mythical. Rumors say only 3 beings ever had all 12.
13 Elements: Does not exist impossible through any means.
