Chapter 349 - Pokémon: Breeding Simulator [349]

[Life energy was the cornerstone that allowed you to swiftly become a Ghost-like entity in the beginning.]

[After channeling most of your life energy into Dianna, you unsurprisingly fell into a deep slumber.]

[Compared to last time, your consciousness feels much hazier now.]

[With just fragments of awareness left, you instinctively sense you'll likely sleep for quite a while this time.]

[After you fell into slumber, Diancie began carefully watching over you.]

In the room, Diancie sat quietly at the table, chin resting gloomily in her hands, lost in thought.

It hadn't been long since Elias returned into his diamond to sleep.

But even within these mere two days, she already felt blocked at every turn, utterly unable to adjust to life without Elias by her side.

"Elias…"

She murmured softly, staring blankly at the diamond in front of her.

The diamond's surface was still riddled with precarious cracks, keeping her heart constantly suspended in worry.

Especially these last couple of days, every time she moved the diamond, her whole body trembled nervously, terrified she might accidentally shatter it.

But even more worrying was the uncertainty about whether Elias could ever wake up again…

Despite Her Highness repeatedly reassuring her it would be alright, the diamond hadn't shown even the slightest sign of activity.

As time went by, her heart gradually turned colder and colder.

"Ugh…"

Thinking about this, Diancie covered her head in frustration.

Click—

Just then, the room's door opened abruptly.

Turning to look, Diancie saw—as expected—her Queen standing there.

She quietly turned her head away, not bothering to greet her like usual.

These past few days, though her rational mind kept reminding her that Her Highness hadn't forced Elias into anything and that Dianna had suffered serious injuries herself, Diancie still couldn't help puffing up her cheeks whenever she thought of Elias's disappearance and its connection to Dianna.

Seeing Diancie's reaction, Dianna didn't feel offended.

In fact, if their roles were reversed, Dianna herself would have reacted far more coldly than Diancie.

Choosing to ignore it, Dianna glanced toward the diamond resting on the table and asked softly:

"Diancie…"

"Elias… Hasn't woken yet?"

Truthfully, she didn't even need to ask—Dianna already knew the answer.

The massive life energy Elias had transferred into her had been enough to completely neutralize Yveltal's power within her.

There was no way he could fully recover in just a few short days.

Such a thing…was obviously impossible.

Yet, despite knowing this, Dianna still held onto a faint hope and asked Diancie anyway.

A miracle, however, did not occur.

"Your Highness, how long do you think Elias will sleep?"

Diancie suddenly asked quietly.

Dianna froze briefly, then gently comforted her:

"It…shouldn't be too long."

Diancie had looked so downcast these past days—Dianna feared she'd fall even deeper into despair if she answered truthfully.

Hearing this, Diancie merely nodded silently, giving no further response.

Just as Dianna thought the conversation was finished, Diancie spoke again:

"Your Highness…I want to visit the human world for a few days."

Seeing the determination on Diancie's small face, Dianna didn't refuse her this time.

She approved the request without hesitation.

The human world was filled with plenty of distractions; perhaps it could help restore Diancie's spirits.

However…

Dianna's gaze fell once more onto the diamond. She hesitated.

She wanted to ask if Diancie would be taking Elias's diamond with her to the human world.

Yet asking directly would certainly reveal her intentions.

Besides, such a question was completely pointless anyway—

It was obvious Diancie would take Elias with her, leaving Dianna no chance at all to "help" watch over him.

"Go enjoy yourself for a few days…"

"Since Elias isn't with you this time, make sure you stay safe."

Dianna sighed softly, resigned to her helplessness.

"Mm."

---

[Through your hazy awareness, you vaguely understand that Diancie intends to take you along on a trip to the human world.]

[Given your barely conscious state, naturally, you have no objections.]

[Over the next few days, Diancie diligently follows the training plan you left her, and spends the rest of her alone time quietly talking to you—even though you cannot respond.]

[This quiet routine continues until the day Diancie leaves for the human world.]

Inside the library where Elias and Diancie had previously visited, Cogita quietly sat in a corner, holding a book.

Yet, unlike usual, her attention wasn't on the pages at all.

Ever since returning home that day, regret had gnawed at her heart.

She'd been so close, just a step away from possibly reuniting with Elias.

Yet, her hesitation at that critical moment had caused her to lose the opportunity completely.

After thoroughly reflecting, she'd immediately returned to the library, staking it out for days on end.

She believed Elias would definitely come again with that sparkling Pokémon.

And this time…

Cogita glanced toward the Poké Ball attached to her waist, confidence welling up inside her.

She'd deliberately caught herself a Gastly.

With a Ghost-type Pokémon's help, even if Elias really had become a ghostly existence, she would surely be able to see him clearly.

Just imagining it made Cogita's breathing quicken.

After so long, she'd finally heard news—however faint—of Elias.

Though it seemed far-fetched, she absolutely had to try…

Suddenly, Cogita's movements halted.

In her line of sight, a small figure appeared, cloaked in a hooded disguise exactly like Diancie's previous outfit.

There was no doubt—it had to be the same sparkling Pokémon from last time.

Without the slightest hesitation, Cogita quickly snapped her book shut and stood up, swiftly approaching Diancie.

At the same time, Diancie, having returned to the library alone, felt utterly lost.

She rubbed at the corners of her eyes, feeling as though she was about to cry from frustration.

Last time, with Elias by her side, the human world had seemed fun and exciting.

But now, venturing here alone, she finally understood what it meant to feel utterly overwhelmed.

Most human words remained completely unintelligible to her. Even though she'd returned to the library relying purely on memory, looking at row after row of unfamiliar books and the labels she couldn't understand, Diancie felt completely helpless.

She'd come hoping to find a way to help Elias—but now, even that seemed impossible…
