Kamikawa – Sunday. 5:42 AM
The town slept beneath a slow, creeping fog.
At the school gate, a janitor unlocked the metal doors just as a white Daewoo sedan pulled into the alley across the street. Two men stepped out. Sunglasses. Black gloves. Smiles too polite for countryside air.
One placed a small, nearly invisible device under the stairwell exit. The other walked the perimeter, whistling.
They didn't wear gang tattoos. No weapons showing.
But they were wolves in clean suits.
Inside the car, Min Seo-ra sat in the backseat with a map. She tapped the school with a pencil.
"Here's the playground. Rooftop. Back stairwell. Front gate. The girl likes solitude—prefers the stairwell near the vending machines. Boy uses the back gym exit. Avoids crowded halls."
Kairi sat beside her. Dressed in black.
She stared through the fogged window at Kamikawa High.
"I don't want them touched. Not yet."
"Yes, 언니."
Kairi tilted her head slowly.
"If the boy tries to fight, restrain him. But let him swing. He needs to believe he still has teeth."
