"But then again, are we late? It's been quite some time… Have the two strongest pirates of the New World already been taken down by you?" Akainu asked calmly, though a hint of eagerness laced his words.

In the center of the Holy Land Mariejois, five of the GorĹŤsei (Five Elders) were present, as well as Garp, all looking grim.

Akainu, Kizaru, Aokiji, and Kong had arrived after some delay. Observing the devastated battlefield—cracked stone, shattered structures, charred earth—Akainu's first thought was that Whitebeard and Ayr had already been subdued.

"Dealt with? That's unfortunate. I thought I'd finally witness the so-called 'Kings' of the New World in action." Aokiji scratched his head lazily, his eyes scanning the scene.

The core of the battlefield—where Ayr clashed with the Gorōsei—was centered deep within Mariejois, nearly a kilometer away. That distance, combined with the obscuring smoke and energy fluctuations, made it impossible for the new arrivals to see the heart of the conflict clearly.

Garp, his expression clouded, shook his head. "No… it's far from over."

"Oh?" Kong raised an eyebrow at that. "It's been that long and still unresolved?"

He stepped forward, looking toward the heart of the Holy Land.

And when he did—he froze.

There, suspended in mid-air, stood a solitary figure wreathed in spiraling violet chakra and Haoshoku Haki so intense it warped the sky. Ayr hovered, his body radiating monstrous power. Black and red lightning flickered around him. Five glowing scales flared from his back, four blade-like chakra constructs jutted from his shoulders, reminiscent of a Susanoo variant laced with Armament and Conqueror's Haki.

Kong wiped the sudden sweat from his brow.

"Who… who is that in the air?"

He couldn't discern the man's face from this distance. That strange armor—otherworldly, divine even—shrouded Ayr in a form resembling a complete-body Susanoo reinforced with Busoshoku no Haki and infused with a demonic presence similar to the Kurama cloak Naruto once bore.

"That… is Ayr," Garp replied grimly.

"Ay—Ayr??" Kong's voice faltered. He looked again, disbelief creeping into his expression.

He had fought Ayr before—at the legendary Battle of the Valley of the Gods. At the time, Ayr was formidable, but not so far beyond reason. Now, without even exchanging blows again, Kong could feel that Ayr had surpassed him… by a terrifying margin.

When… did he evolve into something like this?!

Akainu, Kizaru, and Aokiji all turned toward the sky-bound figure.

"That's the pirate who shook the New World? The one they call the King of Chaos?" Akainu muttered.

He had once dreamed of going to the New World to purge it of its outlaws. But now, gazing at Ayr—at that divine, monstrous presence—he felt that dream crumble. Ayr didn't resemble a pirate anymore.

He looked like a god of war.

"Are the pirates of the New World all… this terrifying?" Aokiji whispered. Cold sweat formed along his neck.

He had imagined someday taking on one of the great pirates—but Ayr's aura alone made his soul tremble. It wasn't a matter of winning or losing. Standing before such a being would be suicide.

At their current level—mere colonels—they stood no chance.

"If I'm not mistaken," Kong murmured, his eyes still locked on the distant battle, "he's currently fighting four of the Five Elders at once."

"Four?" Kizaru echoed, startled.

"Wait… The Gorōsei? Aren't they the true rulers of the World Government?" Aokiji asked, his usually aloof tone now serious.

They'd never seen the Five Elders before, only heard whispers. Even among Marine HQ, only top brass like Kong or Sengoku knew the full extent of their power. But everyone knew—they were above the Admirals. Living legends, each one rivaling the power of Rocks or Prime Whitebeard.

For Ayr to be facing four of them at once—and not losing?

That was beyond comprehension.

"No wonder we weren't allowed into the New World…" Akainu finally realized aloud. "Marshal Kong… is he the reason?"

Kong nodded slowly. "I didn't want to send you into waters where monsters beyond understanding live. I thought… maybe with time, the balance would shift. But now… I realize Ayr isn't just a monster—he's above all of them."

At the Battle of the Valley of the Gods, even Rocks couldn't fight multiple top-tier enemies at once and hold his ground. But Ayr was doing exactly that—against four Gorōsei, no less.

Zephyr stepped forward, his fists clenched.

"If you're here, Kong—then don't hesitate. Let's go. We must help the Five Elders and take Ayr down!"

The decision had already been made.

Now that Kong had arrived, he would not stand idle.

The time had come: All forces must join together to eliminate Ayr.
