Lucas and Catherine heard Clara's words.
"Do you think his highness will fall for her words and does she really love him as she claim?" Catherine asked curiously.
"Clara loves Oliver". He said bluntly not saying another words again. He knew how much those two love each other but it wasn't his business. His business was his wife.
Catherine pursed her lips hard as she waited to see what Oliver will do. Will be walk away heartlessly? Or will he console her? She thought.
"I will tell father I'm in love with you".
Clara said standing up. If you want to get married, I will be your bride and wed you. She said fiercely cleaning her tears.
Oliver paused and turned to look at her coldly.
"You will only embarrass yourself and bring the King's wrath upon your self". He said coldly and walked away.
Clara screamed in pain.
"AAHHHHHHHH!!!!!"
Catherine covered her ears before walking to the other side because the shout was so loud.
Lucas pulled his wife into his embrace as he wrapped his hands firmly around her waist, burying her face in his chest. They remained like that as he cold grey eyes was still locked on Clara.
Clara's screams was so loud and filled with agony and pain attracting the rest of the family. Oliver had heard her piercing scream but didn't budge and walked away. She need to know that he was dead serious of not marrying her.
King Henry, Queen Tira and second Queen Riley rushed towards the scene only to see Clara looking all worked up and tears streaming painfully down her cheeks.
Queen Riley rushed to her daughter side and pulled her daughter to stand up before hugging tightly.
"Oh my poor child, what happened? Why did you scream like that?"
Clara pulled away from her mother and stared at the king with pain before walking away not saying a thing.
The king frowned and was slightly confused,and without saying anything walked back to his room. While Queen Tira also left leaving only Riley behind. Riley sigh deeply as she didn't know what to do anymore. Maybe in a few days she'd have to visit Hilltop kingdom to see her witch friend for help. If not, her daughter will die of extreme heartbreak and not because of lack of blood.
She also left the hallway and went back to her room. The moment they left, there was a sudden peace as Lucas and Catherine pulled away from each other's embrace. Catherine stared into dark black grey eyes before saying with a small voice,
"Let's go get ready to visit the market before night time". She changed the topic while Lucas just rubbed her hair softly and nodded.
They went back to their chamber. On entering their chamber,
Her two handmaids Zoey and Maida were waiting to attend to her.
"Welcome back my lady and his highness". They bowed their heads. While Catherine nodded and went to the bathroom as they trailed behind her. After entering the bathroom, and the door was closed,Lucas left the room to look for his soldiers and Mason his right hand man.
He went straight to his vast garden where he saw his soldiers gathered. The moment they saw him, every one stood up and bowed their heads in deep respect.
"Your highness". They bowed in unison.
Lucas folded his arms and spoke in a commanding tone.
" Levi is bringing the minister Cony this evening to accuse me of the crimes I didn't commit. Once my innocent is proven,we will be going back to Calanthor kingdom".
His soldiers were stunned. They didn't believe him.
So why had he come back in the first place? They all had the same thoughts running through their minds.
As if reading their thoughts and understanding their confused but surprised gazes, he explained,
"Like I told you before, the king is getting old and soon my brothers and I will start planning war on who would take the throne. So we need to leave to protect my wife". He explained briefly and his soldiers nodded in understanding.
Back in the chamber,
Lady Catherine was in the vast bathtub filled with scented water. She closed her eyes to take a relaxation while the maids busied themselves in washing her hair thoroughly and washing her body. Once they were done,
Catherine stepped out of the water while Maida quickly dried her body with a towel.
After doing that, they helped her wear a bathroom robe.
"My lady, are you heading out?" Zoey asked head bow.
"Yes, look for something simple and easy for me to wear". Lady Catherine ordered and the maids bowed their and escorted her outside.
Stepping outside, Catherine was surprised not to see her husband in the room. He really respect her for him to leave the room so she could dress comfortably.
She sat on the dressing stool as she waited for the maids to attend to her.
In Calanthor kingdom,
Brady rushed inside the castle of Duke Clad panting heavily.
Duke Clad was busy talking to some ministers when he saw Brady walked in panting.
He was a vampire. So why was he panting? Mused Duke Clad.
"Your Grace, I just saw kaius the Alpha of the wolves." He said with gnashing teeth.
"Kaius is a werewolf?" Duke Clad was stunned. He had heard about the alpha of the wolves to be ruthless and dangerous but no one had dare speak or near him. Does Brady knows what he is saying? Is he well at all?
"Yes your Grace, I just saw him going towards the mystical wysteria Forest." Brady said calmly.
"That is forbidden to the werewolves, so why was he going there?" Duke Clad thought and then spoke,
"Tomorrow, prepare the horses and carriage. We will be going to visit the wizards at the crystal Coast located at the south." Duke Clad said firmly.
"Yes your Grace". Brady bowed his head and left to prepare for the journey of tomorrow.
