In this moment, the figure that stands against Ryuma Ochirou is categorized as one who cannot be called normal, whose hands are full of bloodshed. As she gazed upon the crimson eye, she spoke in an unmannerly tone…
"That poison is quite potent just from the single bite, I'll give you at least give you a chance, raise your white flag and drop your badge or die a slow death right where you're standing, either way doesn't matter to me…" Xenyi Jiahao, stand on top of the burned down railing supporting her light weight, gazing down to Ryuma. Ryuma, after receiving the sharp dark yellow gaze, stared at his pinky finger, which was bitten by the small snake.
The small snake, on the other hand, lies on the ground motionless, which happened right after it bites Ryuma's pinky finger.
"Parasiter wormes, like when the bees lose their sting, it will immediately die when it loses its poison…" As Xenyi finished her dialogue, she took out the small bottle containing a translucent liquid.
"This is an antidote to cure that poison. So, last chance… Throw out that badge, or are you gonna experience your first death? Come on, the time wasn't going to stop by itself." Upon hearing Xenyi's terms, all Ryuma can do is stare at Xenyi. Knowing he can't blindly approach Xenyi with Cobra and Red Monkey in his way. Not to mention the Parasiter wormes's poison started to spread, limiting Ryuma's time in making a decision.
Despite being backed into a corner, Ryuma closes his eyes as he takes a deep breath.
Ryuma then takes the countermeasure by ripping off a part of his clothes and tightly binding his arm to prevent the poisons from spreading. Ryuma's action seems to be working as he then decided to change the topic...
"Someone often said this to me a while ago, "when making a decision, be prepared for the consequences". I couldn't remember much, though. Something about making a right decision or something… By the way, that weird energy, that thing isn't mana, right?" Receiving a question from Ryuma, Xenyi remains silent and decides to summon another beast...
"Summon: Pig! Orc Beast... Attack him!" Xenyi summons Orc Beast and commands it to attack Ryuma. But that is not the only card she got...
"Summon: Dog! Summon: Rooster! Wild Hound and Flame Cockatrice, follow the attack from the rear!" As the beasts receive commands from Xenyi, the three beasts attack Ryuma from different directions.
"GAAAH!" The Orc Beast swings his axe vertically, but it is avoided by Ryuma. Ryuma kicked the Orc's knee and punched him in the chin. At the same time, the Wild Hound is charging toward Ryuma's right side. Ryuma sensed him and barely avoided the bite, and as he fell to the ground, he kicked the Hound on the chin.
The Flame Cockatrice that is flying on the left side of Ryuma shoots a couple of fireballs. Ryuma saw the fireballs and jumped over them as he barely got up from falling. But as Ryuma was still in midair, the Orc took this opportunity and swung the axe toward Ryuma.
"Khk!!!" Imbued his arm with the mana, Ryuma blocked the axe swing but was still sent flying by the swing's power. That attack leaves a deep-cut wound on both of his hands despite Ryuma imbuing his arm with the mana.
("It fucking hurts, damnit! I underestimate those beasts! It's like they synchronize well with each attack like they all have one mind! Wait... mind? Don't tell me…") Ryuma realizes something and decides to retreat from the area. But of course, Xenyi wouldn't just let Ryuma run like that.
"I won't let you go! Cockatrice, spray the fire on him!"
"COOOOOK!" The Cockatrice sprays a huge amount of fire, but the fire still doesn't hit Ryuma, as Ryuma manages to run away from the fire. A few minutes pass and Ryuma has managed to lose from the Cockatrice's sight. Somehow, Ryuma managed to sneak into the dark alley and let out a sigh of relief.
"Huuuuuh... I've managed to lose them, for now. But the problem is these wounds, come along with the poisons, I don't know if I actually can survive or not. After Ryuma rests a bit, he sneakily moves around the village. Ryuma then coincidentally found a bag.
"Wait, that bag is..." Ryuma looked around and found that he was in the same house where the four had hidden earlier. Ryuma quickly opens the bag and smiles like he has his eyes on the national treasure.
"Lucky~ Thank you for the potions, Mika." At the same time, a couple of fireballs have come towards Ryuma. Ryuma barely dodged the fireballs although, one of the fireballs had managed to hit him on the leg.
"Shit! I've been found out! Fireball!" Ryuma shoots a couple of fireballs at the Cockatrice. But none of them were hit. Ryuma decides to run away once again, but he's been blocked by the Orc Beast in front of him. Now, Ryuma was surrounded by the Orc in front of him and the Cockatrice behind him.
And then, without realizing it, The Wild Hound comes from the window of the burned house. The Hound bites Ryuma on the left hand. Ryuma groaned in pain as he kicked the hound. The Orc followed up with the swings, but Ryuma managed to dodge them. But it didn't end as the Cockatrice sprayed fire on Ryuma.
Desperate times called for desperate measures. Ryuma quickly jumped into the house from the window that the Hound came from. Xenyi who is far away from them, has seen Ryuma jump through the window from the Cockatrice's point of view.
"Cockatrice, burned the house once again." Taking orders from Xenyi, the Cockatrice immediately sprays the fire on the house Ryuma was in. After a while, the house was immediately burned to ashes. Anybody can tell that whoever is in that house has definitely not survived that. Xenyi was uncertain if Ryuma was dead yet, so she sent one of the summons to go check on him.
"Rat, go into the house and search for a body. Others, surround the house so he can't sneak out." It was the grey rat that had been watching Ryuma and the others from the farm before. The rat is searching for the supposedly Ryuma's corpse which has been burnt out. But it was nowhere to be found.
Xenyi who has been watching from the rat's eyes, started to worried."He's not here... The body is not here! Did he escape while the house was on fire?! But how?!!" Xenyi then realized there was something more like some kind of a hatch in the corner of the house.
"There was a hatch... So there's a basement in this house. Orc Beast, smash the floor house. It will catch him off guard if he wants to launch a surprise attack." The Orc smash the floor to bits. Follow up with the Cockatrice spray flame on the entire basement.
The smoke from the flame has been blown out. But there's still no sight of Ryuma or his corpse.
"Where is he... Wait, there is a door in the basement?" Xenyi sent the Orc to check on the door. Behind the door, it seemed there was a hallway that led in multiple directions.
Xenyi sent her entire summons to check every path of the hallway. Each path lies a door that leads to every house in the village.
"W-What's with this hallway? What's the reason that women created these?!" And then a voice answered Xenyi's question.
"Oh, didn't you know? It was an emergency path in case the bandit tried to raid the village." Xenyi immediately had his guard up. But unfortunately, the stone hit the bar where she was standing, and she immediately lost her balance and fell to the ground.
While Xenyi was busy trying to get up, Ryuma immediately took this as an opportunity and attacked her. Xenyi, who had just gotten up from the fall, saw that Ryuma was trying to throw a punch at her. She misdirects the punch with her hand and counters Ryuma with her palm. But the counter was unsuccessful as Ryuma blocked her attack.
"Hoh, so you knew martial arts too?" Xenyi, who apparently knows martial arts, decides to fight Ryuma in close combat, along with the dagger in her hand. A few minutes passed, and Xenyi, barely standing on her two legs, had a few bruises on her body. It seems Ryuma won in the close combat despite Xenyi being armed with a dagger.
Xenyi just realized that the wound has healed and the poison on Ryuma has gone."You... How did you-"
"Oh, if you're talking about the poison and the wound... I have this bag." Ryuma showed the contents of the bag, and there were a few empty glasses of potion in it.
"The healing potion... And an anti-poison potion. Thanks to these, both the wounds and poison on my body have gone. And..." Ryuma showed the badge. Xenyi immediately realized that her badge had been taken.
