The air inside the room shifted from panicked and fearful to a rather determined and purposeful one. Everyone started organising themselves. Dominic stepped close to Inez as if trying to find some comfort in her presence alone, but he seemed to have learnt his lesson because he didn't try to push himself any closer after Tracy was done with him.
"I will try to arrange a place for the survivors to stay…if they are still alive," said Dominic in a low and controlled voice. He was eyeing Tracy with a hint of trepidation in his gaze as if he was worried that she would turn him into a toad or a rat. "But we need to hurry…that witch…the one responsible for this chaos; maybe she will return."
"She won't." The cotton-candy-haired woman replied. She made a dismissive gesture with her hand. "Her vessel is destroyed for the time being. It will take her a little while to recover from this damage. So she will not return so soon."
"How long?"
"Months… maybe weeks if she tries to push it."
