"Boom... Boom..."
The loud roar of a motorcycle came from outside the orphanage, disturbing everyone's peace.
Just then, little Andy stumbled through the door, looking flustered. As soon as he saw Tom, he urgently shouted, "Brother Tom, this is bad! There's a man on a motorcycle with a younger brother at the gate, and he's asking for you by name. Ms. Anna has already gone out."
Tom reluctantly put down the half-finished Furina figurine he was working on and followed Andy out.
'Sure enough, it's that Gryffindor idiot dog.'
Outside the orphanage gate, many children were already gathered, and Sirius, who had recovered his handsome and charming appearance after half a year of recuperation, was arguing with Ms. Anna. Harry, sitting on the back of the motorcycle, saw Tom come out and gave him an apologetic smile.
"Ms. Anna, they are my schoolmates and his elder. I'll handle this here. Please take the children back first."
Tom first persuaded Ms. Anna, who was in the midst of the argument, to go back inside.
"Little Tom, are you sure it's okay?" Ms. Anna was still a bit worried.
"Ms. Anna, it's fine, don't worry."
Seeing Tom's solemn assurance, Ms. Anna finally took the children back.
After Ms. Anna left, Tom spoke to Sirius and Harry: "You two, follow me!"
Tom led them to the small woods he frequented, then looked at them expressionlessly: "Speak, what do you two want by suddenly coming here?"
Harry scratched his head awkwardly: "Well, Tom, Sirius wants to invite you to his house as a guest, to thank you for helping him catch Peter and clear his name."
"So, you can just disturb people so brazenly? Didn't Gryffindor teach you what manners are?"
Tom sternly reprimanded the two.
Perhaps Tom's aura was too strong; Sirius and Harry had the illusion of facing Professor McGonagall.
"I'm sorry, I was wrong!"
Under the pressure of Tom's gaze, Sirius and Harry obediently lowered their heads and apologized.
"Then, Tom, will you go?"
After apologizing, Harry asked Tom again with anticipation.
Seeing that the two realized their mistake, Tom's smile returned: "Of course, now? Then wait for me to pack my things."
Thinking of how he had worked so hard to finally get the Slytherin locket from Grimmauld Place No. 12, Tom quickly returned to his room and carefully placed the painstakingly completed Citra Li figurine and the half-finished Furina figurine into his storage space. After greeting Ms. Anna, he hurried out and climbed onto the back seat of Sirius's motorcycle, urging him to drive away quickly.
"Slower... slower... I'm going to die..."
"I'm going to report you to the Misuse of Muggle Artefacts Office for illegal modification!"
Tom, riding Sirius's motorcycle for the first time, clearly hadn't adapted to his wild driving style. He felt as if his entire body, heart, liver, lungs, and kidneys were about to be scared out of him.
Sirius, seeing Tom's miserable state, laughed gleefully all the way, "Hahahahaha...", which made Tom have an impulse to use the Unforgivable Curses on him.
Harry had already experienced this once today when Sirius picked him up from Petunia's aunt's house, so he was adapted now and could calmly chat with Tom.
"Tom, how was your summer vacation? Did you finish your homework?"
"This month at Aunt Petunia's house was agonizing. I dreamed of being picked up by Sirius..."
Harry babbled on, but Tom was too miserable to answer a single word.
"Ugh..."
"I'm never taking any magic world transportation again, any! Ugh...."
When Sirius stopped the car, Tom eagerly jumped off and dry heaved again.
After a while, Tom recovered and was stunned when he saw their destination.
"This is... Grimmauld Place No. 12?"
"Of course not, this is my newly purchased apartment. I've been disowned, who wants to go back to that gloomy Black Old Residence?"
Sirius spoke with such righteous indignation that no one could find fault with him.
"..."
Tom, who had always had things go smoothly, was almost at his breaking point at this moment.
'Why, oh why, did I save this idiotic dog? It was for the Slytherin locket in his old residence. Now you're telling me you bought a new apartment and don't want to go back to the old residence. Then what was the point of me painstakingly saving this idiotic dog? You might as well have stayed in Azkaban for a few more years.'
Tom took a deep breath, annoyed. He took another deep breath, but his thoughts still weren't clear.
'Damn Gryffindor idiot dog, ruining my Dao heart.'
At this moment, Tom had secretly pulled out his wand, wanting to give Sirius the full set of Unforgivable Curses.
Sirius, at this time, was unaware that he was hovering on the brink of life and death, and happily welcomed Tom and Harry into the apartment.
The apartment rooms were clean and bright, indicating that the owner had taken care to clean them. There were also fresh flowers in the living room, which, for Sirius, clearly showed he had put thought into welcoming Harry and Tom.
The size was three bedrooms and one living room, perfect for three people. The room Tom was given was much more spacious than his room at the orphanage.
But for Tom, none of this was the point. The point was that he didn't want to live here. What he wanted to see was the room with the sign that read, "No Entry Without Permission. Regulus Arcturus Black," and the charming locket inside.
At this moment, Tom really wanted to post on a certain forum and ask: How to make a Gryffindor idiot dog willingly take me back to the Black Old Residence, waiting online, it's urgent.
After all, what normal person would just openly tell someone they want to go to their old home to find something? If Tom really did that to Sirius, Dumbledore would probably be coming to have a heart-to-heart with him soon.
Harry had already packed his luggage and walked out of his room. Seeing Tom still dazed in the living room, with a strange expression on his face, he thought Tom was as excited as he was. So he walked over and patted Tom's shoulder: "How is it, Tom? Aren't you as surprised and happy as I am? Sirius said we can live here peacefully for the rest of the summer vacation."
Thanks, there's surprise, but no happiness at all.
"What are you two talking about?" Sirius came out of the kitchen with two drinks and handed them to Tom and Harry.
"I was saying it's so 'happy' to live here."
Tom emphasized "happy" and then pulled out a novel from his expandable bag and handed it to Sirius: "Thank you, Sirius, I really like the room. This season's best-selling novel is for you as a thank you gift."
While saying this, Tom was thinking: 'I was hesitant whether to give it to you, but since you're unkind, don't blame me for being unjust.'
Sirius took the novel. The title was "You Choose the White Moonlight, I Let Go, What Do You Regret?" Author: Harley Evans.
An ominous feeling surged in Sirius's heart. After quickly flipping through it, he felt terrible, and his voice became a little shaky.
"The white moonlight is Snape, the male lead is James, and the female lead is me?"
And Harry's words delivered a fatal blow to Sirius: "Harley Evans, whose name is very similar to mine, has a new book out! I remember her last season's best-selling novel too; the content seemed to be about James, the childhood sweetheart, who couldn't compete with the sudden appearance of Snape, and eventually Sirius and Snape entered into marriage."
"...There was a previous one too."
Sirius's voice was dry, and the novel slipped from his hand and fell to the floor.
Some people, though still alive, are already dead.
