FA stood alone.
Surrounded by nothing. No stars. No ceiling. Just darkness stretching beyond comprehension. A void not made of shadows—but of absence.
His feet touched nothing, yet he stood.
"Mmmmmm..."
His voice echoed into the silence.
He began walking.
Ten minutes passed. Then twenty. Then thirty. Still—he walked.
"Why the hell am I still walking?!" he shouted, his voice tearing through the quiet.
He stopped in place.
"In this shit place... I can't even tell where I'm going!"
He clenched his fists. Frustration poured out in waves.
"And how the fuck do I activate those peep holes!?"
A growl escaped his throat.
"Shit. Shit. SHIT!"
He exhaled. Long. Slow. Then silence.
"There are infinite dimensions..." His voice was quiet. Controlled.
"Infinite Asahis. Infinite Anaris. Infinite Mom and Dad."
His eyes scanned the void. No end in sight.
"These dimensions... they're being created every second I stand here. Somewhere else... a new cursed world is born."
He chuckled. It sounded broken.
"And yet... I'm the chosen one. The chosen timeline."
His voice cracked.
"The one where Anari is alive. Where Mom and Dad are alive."
A pause. He bit his lip.
"It can't be fate..."
He pressed his palm to his chest.
"I must've done something before I died... something that made this timeline different."
His breathing picked up pace.
"The Asahis attacking our world... the twisted versions of me... there's a connection."
A beat..... Then realization.
"It's me..... I might be the connection."
Low voice, eyes wide, his voice trembled with revelation.
"None of them have a guide. That's what makes me unique. That's what makes this dimension unique."
He turned toward the darkness.
"Here... maybe here, I can find answers. How everyone died. Why. When."
He stilled.
"These peep holes... they show every timeline, right?"
His breath hitched.
"If I'm right... there might be one place in this void... one window... where I can see everything."
Pain. Suffering. Death. Fate.
"Maybe even the one who killed me."
Then—he ran.
Fast. Faster.
His feet slammed into nothing—but he moved.
"I can do it! I have to do it!"
His voice cracked, frantic.
"The one who killed me... he knows... he knows!"
"FASTER! DAMN IT!"
He ran.
RARARARARARARA!!
No path. No light. Only desperation.
He ran because it was all he had left.
"All I wanted... was to be alive... with Anari..."
RARARARARARARA!!
The scream echoed.
Then—he tripped.
"Ugh—"
He crashed. Knees scraping nothingness.
He collapsed, face turned upward to the void.
His breathing slowed. His voice barely held form.
"Even if I find that dimensional hole... what can I even do...huh?"
Tears welled in his eyes.
"All those memories... pain..."
A bitter smile spread across his face.
"I might forget it again..."
He laughed. Quiet. Shattered.
"I already met Asahi like he was a stranger..."
He bit his tongue until blood dripped from his lips.
"I knew it..."
"I knew it..."
"Even if I find the truth... I'll forget it all... again."
Then he screamed.
"THEN WHY DID I RUN?!"
He punched the void.
"WHY?!"
RARARARRARARARARARAR!!!
His fists rained down. Desperate. Powerless.
"I just wanted to be useful... you know...?"
Tears and blood soaked his mouth. His shirt clutched tightly in shaking hands.
"Why am I the only useless one...?"
RARARARRRA!!
The sobs were uncontrollable now. Pure. Raw.
Suddenly—
A screen appeared.
No edges. Just white light.
FA blinked.
His body lay still. Breath caught. His hands were limp beside him. His breathing shallow. His shirt, soaked in tears, barely moved. He felt smaller now—like even the void didn't acknowledge his existence. A puddle of grief in human shape.
And then—a voice.
Anari.
A glowing presence. Gentle and fragile. Her hair slightly swayed as if wind existed in that light. Her face—soft, graceful, yet weighted with silent sorrow. Eyes that shimmered like midnight pools. Her smile... the kind that held back everything she never got to say.
"Asahi..."
She smiled.
"Didn't I always tell you not to cry?"
FA's lips trembled.
The screen cast soft light over his face. A faint, almost holy glow.
She looked confused. Delicate brows furrowed.
"You know... I never really understood you..... You were always in a hurry... always searching. Your eyes never stopped moving."
FA was silent. Lost.
Anari's voice softened.
"I couldn't tell if you were happy. But somehow... you made me happy... Why...?"
Her eyes searched his. Honest. Vulnerable.
"You always fought alone. In the dark. I tried to reach you... but you kept pushing me away. I thought you hated me..."
Her voice shook.
"But sometimes... when you were with me... you smiled. Like you forgot everything... and just lived."
FA's hands shook.
"And that's the Asahi I fell in love with."
Her smile. Soft. Radiant.
A smile that seemed too kind for the universe they were born in.
FA's eyes widened. Overwhelmed. Tears streamed down his cheeks.
"I want that Asahi. The one who doesn't need to suffer anymore. The one I can understand."
"The one who can smile... just once more. With me."
He sobbed.
"I'm sorry..." he whispered.
She puffed her cheeks playfully.
"And I want an Asahi who doesn't cry so much."
FA managed a trembling smile.
"Asahi..."
Their eyes met.
"When it's all over... I'll be waiting with a surprise."
Her smile was small.
But it held everything.
The screen dimmed. The light vanished.
Darkness returned.
FA lay in silence.
His voice... almost a breath:
"Still... I couldn't say I loved her."
He laughed.
A laugh filled with regret.
A laugh filled with tears.
A laugh that broke into sobs.
His fingers curled weakly.
And the last warmth of her voice echoed, until even memory forgot what it sounded like.
