The world-forged lightsaber slammed into the surging demonic tide and, in moments, was swallowed by that ocean of rules—its radiance dimming. Yet Goku's strike was no simple blow. It carried complete law-patterns and the ultimate cycle of annihilation. Even as it was erased, it gnawed back at Yuanmie's sea of laws.
Endless sword-qi speared the void, brilliant and blinding. Demonic rules rose like a boundless sea and blanketed the sky. Their collision birthed a calamity fit to end galaxies. Though Goku's attack was steadily pushed back, his goal had already been met.
Space collapsed; rivers of stars tumbled; countless planets shattered in the broken void and became dust in an instant. The universe reached its limit. The sky sank; the cosmos unraveled. Vast spatial rifts spread like a devouring maw that seemed ready to swallow everything.
Then a dreadful will descended. All things froze. Time reversed. In a heartbeat, everything returned to its beginning.
---
Yuanmie lifted his gaze, face set in rare solemnity.
High above, chaos mist billowed. A rainbow radiance flooded the firmament, washing the universe in dazzling color.
From within that light, a majestic figure stepped forth. Divine rings circled him; his body was inscribed with sigils as dense as the stars, flowing with supreme power and blazing with sacred brilliance—an embodiment of the highest laws.
He stood quietly in the void, looking down with cool indifference. A Sovereign pressure spread through the universe. Under that awe, all living beings collapsed to their knees.
Only Goku and Yuanmie remained upright, defying the will.
He was like a born king—like the supreme who governs all void, noble, austere, unmatched. Simply by standing there, he commanded the submission of all things. Every motion stirred unfathomable law—birth and death, the turn of samsara.
He was this sky and this earth—the absolute master of this universe: the Lord of the Realm.
The Sovereign spared Goku a faint glance, then set his eyes on Yuanmie. His voice was mild, yet carried the rumble of great law: "Yuanmie, you go too far."
"Heh—Sovereign. Truly strong," Yuanmie said, still arrogant, eyes feverish with battle-lust and greed. "As expected of the master of the highest dimension. If I devour you, I'll grow even stronger, won't I?"
"If you were at your peak, I'd take that seriously. In your current state, your tone is far too proud."
The Sovereign did not rage. He simply closed his hand. Space around Yuanmie shattered in an instant. Goku, a mere insect in his eyes, wasn't worth notice.
Yuanmie's expression shifted. Demonic qi surged as he flashed away, evading the brunt of the blow—yet the shockwave hurled him back through the void before he caught himself.
Goku was not so fortunate. The exploding space washed over him. Light and blood burst as he spat a mouthful of crimson—his body nearly torn apart then and there.
"Damn it—Haaah!"
He roared and forced out the last of his ki, blasting free of the ravaging wave to pull back to a distant stretch of void.
From afar, he glared at the handsome figure standing amid the chaos mist, face dark as midnight. He could feel it—the Sovereign had never once regarded him as anything but an ant to be crushed when convenient. Only Yuanmie, equal in station, drew his attention.
As if sensing the look, the Sovereign turned slightly. His expression remained calm, though a flicker of strange light passed through his eyes.
He pointed.
A bolt of divine punishment tore the void, shearing down toward Goku—runes of annihilation crawling over it. It could split stars, break space, erase all things.
Goku's face changed. He tried to move—and found he couldn't. A vast, unknowable force bound him in place.
"Damn!"
He understood: he, too, was marked for death.
With nowhere to run, he could only endure. Life on the line, Goku's eyes spun—The God eye opened.
Crimson light roared skyward. Scarlet sigils braided together in midair. An awe-inspiring avatar took shape around him, shielding him tight: a towering demon-knight with sword and shield, bones etched with killing laws, wrapped in blood-red divine flames like a hellborn fiend. Layer upon layer of defensive light enclosed Goku within.
The avatar raised its shield to meet the falling thunder.
Boom
The void shook. Radiance exploded. Divine lightning raged. Veils of annihilation mist spread as space collapsed.
The world turned hazy; chaos seethed; rifts like world-eating maws yawned everywhere.
Crack… crack…
Fractures raced across the avatar. The shield failed; fissures spidered over its body—and with a deafening blast it shattered.
The thunder did not stop. It hammered the nested barriers around Goku. Each broke with harsh reports until the strike crashed into Goku himself. A sea of lightning swallowed him whole.
The universe quaked. Destruction reigned.
Elsewhere, Yuanmie and the Sovereign clashed at last.
Both wielded the purest annihilation intent. Shockwaves detonated the void; thunderous booms rolled like god-bells; beams of light carved the cosmos as they waged a war fit to end creation.
Laughing with savage joy, Yuanmie drove a straight, brutal punch—not fancy, but packed with a maelstrom of demonic power, annihilation, and the essence of samsara, condensed to a single point. Black light flared, tearing through the mortal world, too fast to evade.
The Sovereign exhaled a thread of chaos essence and traced a secret sigil before him. Power resonated with the universe; a divine beam shot from the seal, cleaving the void—nearly halving the cosmos.
Boom!
Impact birthed calamity. The universe collapsed in waves. Roars shook the firmament.
In a single instant, more than half the stars in existence were gone.
Yuanmie's fists trembled with unleashed force, black magic geysering from his knuckles, weaving brilliant, violent mysteries. With a barked shout, dark light blazed over him. Runes of law crawled across his body, forming a killing array. Boundless demonic might surged as he struck again, shaking the world.
Even under the Sovereign's suppression, the universe continued to crumble at a frightening speed. Stars fell like rain.
---
The unleashed might made the Sovereign's eyes glint. "Freshly unsealed—and still this strong?"
Killing intent sharpened his gaze. Yuanmie's power, even under one percent, was enough to rattle him. Such an existence could not be allowed to persist while he was weakened—just as Goku's rapid ascent and stolen god-seat had earned him immediate execution. Threats to his station were erased, swiftly and without mercy.
Floating in the void, the Sovereign shone with ten thousand rays. A crushing aura flooded the universe. He pointed; a sacred light fell and bathed Yuanmie's demonic tide, unmaking it strand by strand.
Yuanmie's brows knit. This was the Sovereign's own universe: he commanded everything—war and creation, life and samsara. He could even delete anything he denied.
"Damn it! If I were at full strength, I wouldn't fear your rules!"
He snarled and pulled back. He felt true killing intent from the Sovereign and chose retreat. Too many of his methods were sealed; on another's turf, the battle was nothing but disadvantage.
The Sovereign seemed to read him. "Run? Do you think you can?"
He waved. Divine radiance surged. Chains of cosmic order lanced from the void, weaving into a net of law that drew tight around Yuanmie.
"How laughable. You think this can hold me? Then I wouldn't be the Evil of the Dimensions."
Yuanmie snorted. Demonic power exploded as a spinning black hole formed before him. He stepped in, his voice rolling across the void: "Remember this, Sovereign. When my strength returns, I'll come for you again! Hahaha!" The singularity blinked out.
The Sovereign frowned, surprised. "My rules can't bind him? Is his dimension… above mine? Is that possible…?"
He gave a soft "oh," then turned to the distance. "Stubborn life. So he isn't dead after all."
