Chapter 197 - Return to Heaven Dou

On the Hell Road, Tang San frowned deeply. Something felt off. He had been knocked out by the giant bat earlier, but in the end, nothing had happened to him. This was what made him uneasy. However, after checking his body, he found no abnormalities.

"Damn this cursed place. If I ever get the chance to return, I'll destroy it completely..."

Tang San's blood-red eyes were filled with violence. The toxic air around him, which stirred his killing intent, was continuously eroding his body, causing his murderous desires to grow stronger.

Logically, without having consumed the "Gazing at Autumn Dew" herb and lacking a head spirit bone, Tang San's spiritual power shouldn't have been enough to resist the killing intent. Strangely, however, something within his body seemed to be helping him control his killing intent. The price, though, was that this "something" was gradually seizing control of his body.

And Tang San was completely unaware of this...

After passing the trial of the Soul-Devouring Six-Headed Bat King, the next two trials didn't pose their usual challenges. The Ten-Headed Fiery Yang Snake had already been killed by Chen Yuan, and as for the test of mental fortitude, the "something" within him helped control his killing intent, allowing Tang San to reach the end of the Hell Road without much danger.

Looking at the sea of blood before him and the white vortex at its end, Tang San didn't use his Flying God Claw or his mutated Blue Silver King. Instead, he jumped directly into the blood sea.

After taking a gulp of the blood, Tang San felt an overwhelming sense of satisfaction. His soul power, previously stuck at level 59, began to loosen, as if he was on the verge of breaking through to level 60.

Swimming through the blood sea was something no other soul master who had ever attempted the Hell Road would dare to do. Others had to maintain their sanity, but Tang San's temperament had already changed drastically.

For others, drinking human blood was a last resort. For Tang San, it was a pleasure.

After crossing the blood sea and climbing onto the shore, Tang San looked back with reluctance. This place was perfect for him.

But he still had a great vengeance to fulfill. With one last glance, Tang San stepped into the white vortex. The overwhelming killing intent enveloped him, and under its stimulation, he fainted.

The terrifying killing intent surged through his body, eventually leaving a blood-red bat pattern on his second martial soul, the Clear Sky Hammer. However, while the pattern radiated killing intent, it also exuded an eerie, sinister aura.

The Asura and the Rakshasa were both gods of slaughter, but the difference lay in control. The one who controlled the killing intent was the Asura, while the one controlled by the killing intent was the Rakshasa.

A single thought separated the Asura from the Rakshasa.

It was unclear how much time had passed—perhaps minutes, perhaps hours—but when Tang San woke up, he found himself on a hillside.

After standing up, Tang San scanned his surroundings and saw Tang Hao's back. A sudden impulse surged within him, but he suppressed it. His father was a Title Douluo, and he was no match for him, let alone capable of devouring his flesh and blood.

In a hoarse voice, Tang San said, "Father, I succeeded. I've conquered the Hell Road."

Tang Hao turned around and looked at Tang San, nodding coldly. "Not bad. If you can come out of there, you're qualified to join me in what comes next."

"We can't stay in Slaughter City. Over the past two years, the investigation teams sent by the Spirit Hall have been captured by me, but after their investigations, they'll likely track us here soon."

"We're returning to Heaven Dou. There's a place called the Moon Pavilion. You'll train there for a year. Right now, your killing intent is too exposed. You probably don't even know how to interact with people normally anymore. Once you've learned to internalize your killing intent, I'll take you back to the sect."

"The Spirit Hall is a behemoth. With just the two of us, it's impossible to overthrow them and avenge your mother. We'll need the sect's help."

"I'm a sinner in the sect, but my elder brother isn't. Back then, he didn't have control over the sect, but now he should. If it's to avenge Ah Yin, my brother will surely be willing to lead the Clear Sky Sect out of seclusion. That will be the first step in opposing the Spirit Hall."

Tang San licked his lips. He didn't know what the Moon Pavilion was, but since Tang Hao wanted him to go, he would comply. He just hoped that finding "food" there would be convenient.

"I'll follow your lead, Father."

After two years in Slaughter City, ordinary food no longer suited him. If he went a few days without consuming essence, blood, and flesh, he would feel unbearable discomfort.

Soon, Tang Hao and Tang San set off toward the Heaven Dou Empire. Tang Hao's expression was numb, his heart filled with nothing but hatred.

Ah Yin's whereabouts were unknown, and he had no idea where to look for her. Tang Hao could only place the blame on the Spirit Hall. Old and new grievances would be settled together in the future.

In Tang Hao's heart, he thought, "After sending Xiao San to the Moon Pavilion, I'll go find that Grandmaster. Let's see if he's figured out the secret of twin martial souls in these past few years."

"Once Xiao San masters his twin martial souls, he'll become my ultimate weapon against the Spirit Hall. I'll convince my elder brother to lead the Clear Sky Sect out of seclusion. Spirit Hall, just wait for your downfall. I'll wipe you out completely to avenge Ah Yin's spirit."

Meanwhile, on the sea!

A group of Devil Spirit Great White Sharks, led by their king, raced toward the mainland.

Chen Yuan stood on the back of the Devil Spirit Great White Shark King, smiling and relaxed, as if pondering something amusing.

Behind him, Dugu Yan's voice rang out. "What are you thinking about?"

Without turning around, Chen Yuan's eyes sparkled with interest as he spoke. "I'm thinking about what title I should take now that I've become a Title Douluo, and a level 97 Super Douluo at that."

At these words, not only Dugu Yan but also Ning Rongrong, Ye Lingling, and Zhu Zhuqing perked up, listening intently.

Chen Yuan stood with his hands behind his back, smiling as he continued. "Generally, a Title Douluo's title comes from their martial soul, representing their highest achievement."

"But there are exceptions. For example, my teacher isn't called the Seven Kill Douluo. He calls himself the Sword Douluo, signifying that he is the pinnacle of all swordsmen on the continent, unmatched in the way of the sword."

"Although I'm now no weaker than my teacher, he is still my teacher. Since he has taken 'Sword' as his title, the title 'Seven Kill' will now belong to me."

Seven Kill Douluo!

Hearing this, Dugu Yan, Ning Rongrong, Ye Lingling, and Zhu Zhuqing felt both happy for Chen Yuan and inspired for themselves.

Among them, Dugu Yan had the highest cultivation at level 86, while Ye Lingling had the lowest at level 77. At their age and with such cultivation, they too had the potential to become Title Douluos.

After reaching the mainland, Chen Yuan and the others bid farewell to the Devil Spirit Great White Shark King and set off on their journey back to Heaven Dou.
